HG: The "running off" TC referred to actually had nothing to do with womanhood. The young lady in question was a recent convert to Islam and did not like hearing her adopted religion criticized on here. But that is neither here nor there. I think you will find that single-minded determination to uncover secrets aside, we are a rather friendly group. So welcome aboard. |

Well thank you. I'm glad to see that I'm more welcome than I initally thought. ^.^ However, I am a bit new to this. So I'm going to need some help getting used to how all this stuff works so I don't make a complete fool out of myself. So if I could look to someone for help, it'd be much appreciated. Also, I'd like to apologize in advance for my username. I was warned by someone that some people wouldn't take kindly to me because of it since it seemed insulting to certain religious groups. That wasn't why I picked it. It's just been one name that I've liked to use over the years. But still, I do apologize to anyone that I might have offended. |

I wouldn't worry about the username. I don't think most people here are easily offended. As for help, feel free to ask anybody here. I can help you if you need anything, and I'm sure most people here would be happy to help you as well. If there is anything you need, just ask. BTW, I don't think you need to worry about people treating you like your dumb because you are female. In my experience, females tend to be more dedicated and focused in early adulthood than males. I have certain thoughts on the social and cultural reasons for this, but I won't go into that here. That said, I've seen how posters on many internet forums react to female posters. Compared to that, I think we are still ahead of the curve! ;) |

Well from one southerner to the next, you are certainly welcome. As for the help, RD hit it on the head, we're all out to help one another so if you need help just ask. Again, I think RD hit it on the head when he said that over all we as a group and as individuals, don't get offended easily. At least that's been my experience here giving the wide variety of conversations we've had over the years  We are a fun bunch of individuals who are all similar and then again very different from one another. I think you'll truly find a little bit of everything here in our community on a wide variety of subjects. An yes RD you should have come South, although Duke University would certainly have tarnished your exemplary record in my eyes  :P Although if you would have gotten my tickets to a certain college basketball game, I could have overlooked that detail :D ;) |

My state on this game is between 2 and 30 in the European continent. I'll be number 35, if I remember NRE telling me so correctly. Its name is Allesandra, which I'm sure would have given me away.... |

TC... But anyways, welcome to the forum. I suppose you're a friend of Proto? I hope you are not turned off to the forum because of earlier comments. Admittedly, this forum is not exactly the most diverse out there. Our members, besides you, are exlusively male and I believe that we racially white, Indian, and SE Asian. And exlusively male. Yeah... But anyway, I hope the others don't scare you off. I would inquire, what are your political leanings? (Oh, by the by, Ezactron was not driven out. She was a real life friend of mine who lost interest in the game quite quickly). |

Yes, he and I are friends. He said I would have fun doing this....we'll see, of course. My political leanings....hm. I'm really liberal I guess, as my country seems to be also. I dunno, Moderate in the politics genre, with leanings towards peace rather than war. Anything else political....I dunno. I wouldn't feel really comfortable talking about my views on abortion, gay marriage, etc. because I'd rather not make enemies. |

European liberal of American liberal? Also, really, if you can back up your views with sane arguments, you won't make enemies. We are first and foremost a political forum, and in that we are really diverse. We have a fascist (careful what you say around him, :P ), several libertarians, traditoinalists, social-democrats, monarchists, and anarchists. |

American Liberal....don't know so much about European politics. My country's liberal in the RP, but as I said, can't really go higher. And I know that arguing will people could be a fun pastime...but I'd rather really not. I'll say, but I'd rather not argue my reasons unless I'm sure people won't attack....it's just always been that way for me when it comes to politics and people. |

You're a fascist? I don't think you can be as libertarian on the political graph as you are and still be a fascist? |

No worries. You can discuss politics if you want, or avoid it if you prefer. And if you want to share your views without debating, you can do that too. Just make it clear that you don't want to debate so that people don't get overzealous. |

Now THAT is scary to think about. Mike Huckabee on an RP site....v. v. frightening. Just as frightening as him as president, I think....(not up for arguing about that) |

Mike Huckabee does not scare me. If he were nominated, he would have the lowest chance of any Republican of beating the dems. He'd be steamrolled, the damned hick. Now...Ron Paul could put up sizeable resistance to the democrats...now only to get him nominated. :D |
