I'll (most probably) need a car for January, and I was looking for some japanese fuel-efficient car (sub-compact). Here are the pros / cons of each car that I was able to dig up from Internet reviews: Honda Fit Pros: Best of the three cars on road (by far) Most comfortable of the three on long rides Cons: Ugliest of the three (by far), unless I pay CAN$4,000 more to get the "Sport" model Nissan Versa Pros: Best-looking car of the three Lot of space (could even be considered as a "compact" car instead of a sub-compact) Cons: Highest fuel consumption of the three (by far) Toyota Yaris Pros: Lowest fuel consumption of the three (by far) CAN$1000 rebate from the federal government for fuel-efficient cars Least expansive car of the three (by far) Cons: Worst of the three cars on the road Most uncomfortable of the three cars Least free space of the three cars * * * So what do you think? |

That depends entirely on your priorities. If you're low on cash, go with the third option. If money isn 't that much of an object, I would go with the first otion, since I'd rather have a car I can be comfortable in rather than one that just happens to lool really good and has a bit more space. |

Well with gas prices rising I would go with the Yaris, unless you don't do a lot of driving, Then I would would go with the Fit |

I'm considering the Yaris over the two others right now. One of my friend has one. I'll probably try it next week and see if it is comfortable enough for me. For a guy like me who considers cars to be a means of transportation (and nothing else), the money incentive is huge... |

Fug cars then. Get a good snow suit, and a scooter. With a helmet you will be safe, and you will get 99.9 miles to the gallon of gas! Figure 2,500 on a good scooter! |

Car dealers are so funny to deal with. I called a first one and asked him for the price on Yaris on a 36 months term. He said CAN$594 . I then called another one, and I told that his competitor offered me CAN$594 per month. He offered me $588 per month. I then called another one, and of the $588 per month at place 2. He then said he could offer me $581 per month. Man, I don't know what is the marginal cost of a Toyota Yaris, but I think I'm getting there slowly  |

** cough ** Kelly Blue Book ** cough ** They can quote any price they want to get you in. Then they work up the deal, fold in the fees, etc. and NOTHING will be what it seems. Call them up and ask the price for what you want, assuming you will pay CASH! When you get the best cash price, then you make them stick to it with financing!! $500 seems really high since I got a $25,000 car for $477 a month, $2,000 down. How much do these bitches go for, anyway?? [edit] 4 door Sedan, 2008, Automatic, 13,489 should be the price. Put 2,000 down and finance 11,489 plus fees and taxes, financing about 14,000. So, now we are talking about $490 for 36 months assuming good credit. |

The monthly payment is supposed to include all fees and taxes, as this is what I asked for on the phone (unless they are all lying). 477$ per month for how much months? I'm buying on a 36 months term (Toyota is offering a special 0.9% interest rate for terms of 36 months and less). [Edit] What car is that? I know the prices on cars are lower in the US, but I didn't know they were that much lower. Maybe I should buy my car at the border? |

I looked up the Kelly Blue Book price in my zip code, and that was the price recommended for the Toyota Yarri, 4 door, 2008, automatic trans. Also, I believe the exchange rate right now is about 1-1. Unless Canada has some silly tarrifs I don't know about. |

Yep B) I only know one people who finds it ugly: my roommate. According to her, I should buy a BMW or a Porsche to get a nice car  Her family is ******* rich. I think she is a little "disconnected" from reality. |

I know what you mean, I have a friend who is that way, all thew way growing up everything was handed to him, now hes so reliant on that basis he gets shitty grades, he never does any homework (His parents helped him a lot through it), and he's to lazy to go get a job, but he insists on wearing expensive clothes. his parents are gonna cut him off when he graduates next year if he doesn't get into any colleges or uni. It's not his fault, I blame the parents. |
