Well, basically, the Madrid Pact stands for democratic countries, and democratic countries only. Now, the definition of "democratic country" is not entirely made clear yet. Basically, here's what I've been going by since Andorra has left the game. Democracies can operate in two forms. Absolute, of under a constitutional monarch. A "absolute" democracy would be any that has elections on all levels. Meaning the head of state and head of government are both elected, as is parliament (for the most part), and local/ regional governments. However, a Constitutional Monarchy type nation is one that has a heredity head of state, or some hereditary peerages in legislature. However, there are also strong democratic institutions that eclipses the power of the non-elected officials. This would bean the UK IRL would be able to join the Madrid Pact, because the House of Commons is the strongest institution, and is entirely elected. So, Marslava, so long as your parliament and prime ministers outpower your Grand Duke, your golden. |

As the climate of Europe changes it has become self-evident that our stance on the war cannot stay the same. Although most of our recent activities must seem confusing to most of the european nations we hope that this will state who we support and clear some things up. The Polish Separatist Union now hole heartedly embraces the Madrid pact and hopes that it may guide and help all nations that have done the same. |

OOC: You can't be accepted, only denied. You may ratify the treaty instantly unless an objection vote removes you. |
