Jesus Christ that is a crap wage (£4.15 right?), I would not work for that! I'm on £6.50 an hour and that is considered crap! It's not even a London living wage (which is something like £7.40 an hour). |

You are an old man, CE, Anti is a teenager, working while going to school. $8.30 and hour is considered a fair wage for high schoolers. Plus, there are plenty of Illegals in this country that might work for half that, so he's lucky to have that. I made $2.30 an hour loading and unloading 50lb blocks of dry ice from rail cars and cutting them into slabs on a band saw when I was in high school, and I was damn happy to have the job! 3 tons of dry ice a day, mind you. People working full-time at a Best Buy Electronics store or at a Department store might make $10.00 starting out. Living wages here are pretty shit most places, which is why you need an edjukashion or a trade. Now, Union auto workers in Detroit can make $72.00 an hour attaching auto bumpers to cars, which is why we are loosing the car wars against Germany, Korea and Japan and why General Motors posted a 36 BILLION dollar loss last quarter! I hate unions! |

Yeah, factor in cost of living and $8.30 is equivilent to £8.30 - so long as you're not buying goods from Europe. |

I am a senior in high school, and making only $7.15 dishwashing. (Damn Cleveland Economy...) When I started 1 and a 1/2 years ago I made 5.15. Now my parents pay for pretty much everything (okay everything) and I just save my money for college. But a few of my friends make around the same wages and they do fine paying for gas, clothes, food ext... |

Goodness me, a 35% raise in only 1 1/2 years?? I wish I could get that! It is amazing how inventive students can make dollars stretch! Just don't blow it all in the clubs and bars on weekends! :D :D |

Ramen, not Raman. And these are awful. You should get Gattuso noodles instead. They cost a little more but they are much better. |

Oh yeah. I work Thanksgiving. Since I'm 40 hours and full time, I don't get time and 1/2 like others do. I get double time. That's $15.00/hr for 8 hours on thanksgiving. |

Supplement your college diet with Free Food. Check out your school's extracurricular schedule and attend meetings for the sole purpose of eating free food. I went to the "Women in Engineering" meeting, I was the only guy there, ate massive amounts of free pizza, then took home the leftovers. I went to the Islamic students meeting and ate all their food and left. I went to the African American students club and I was the only non black person there, but I came away with a full stomach. Point is, there are a lot of special interest groups where you won't fit in but that doesn't matter, just go and eat their food. Every college hosts guest lectures where free food at the reception is the main attraction. Also, go to professors' retirement parties because they tend to hire good caterers. Always keep an eye out for Free Food. The scavenging way of life is the high life. |

I also made the rounds of the churches in town when I was in college. All you had to do was show up, stuff your face, and be polite. FYI, Baptists put on the best spreads, fried chicken, mashed potatos, cherry pie! Epistopalians (sp) had the worst - cookies and coffee. |

No I'm not that skilled. Besides, "women in engineering" are all fugly. I simply blatantly stacked my plate with 5 or 6 slices of pizza while everyone else only took 1 or 2 slices out of respect for decorum. |
