As many of you know, I started my civil war plot some weeks back. Now updating it has become increasingly slow (as I would rather have a well thought out post than mindless drivel), as I seem to have bitten off more than I can chew.

Part of the problem is of cours the sheer magnitude of the conflict. It's supposed to be taking place in mainland Kasnyia, Ziyer, and Australia. Then there are the many many important characters that will feature greatly later. Also a problem is that I seem to have relied too much on other players posting for it to continue, and this has skewered the narrative as many have no time to post. And then, the biggest of the problems is that there is alot of plot to go through before it ends, as this was supposed to be one my nation's defining plots.

I can't abandon the plot either, as everything I do henceforth will be in consequence to the civil war.

I have only one minutely possible idea of being able to do it and that would be to have you guys volunteer to play a character from the list of those pertinent to the war itself. What say you all? Because I'm desperate to finish this plot sometime this year (since at the rate I'm going now, it will end up being sometime in February-March...and I have too many post-war plans that need implementation to wait that long...

I'd volunteer but I don't have the time. Sorry. I will continue to contribute to the story with the Byzantine Army of Kasnyia, as we have been running it.

Look, let's just skip these tedious battles. Let's get to the real meat of the war.

The overall events instead of the particulars of each battle, I believe. I'm going to start doing the same.

Hmmm...Yeah alright. I'll let the Zalistoriya part play out (it is almost done), and show the second (and final) hostage execution. Everything afterward will be done in summation.

Especially since the only events that have been thought out with specificity are toward the end of the conflict.

As for those interested to play a character role...

The list-

-Prime Minister Hein
-General Gassel
-Field Marshal Poole
-Field Marshal Volehr
-Colonel Reinhold
-Lord Zane
-Grand Duke Eduard Xavier II

Pick one and I'll tell ya background and motivation, those who are interested.

Is that the same Eduard Xavier from the wedding? Does that mean I can't murder him?

Yes that is the same Eduard Xavier and no you absolutely may not murder him. I thought I already told you his future importance?

Don't remember that, and the question was more hypothetical than practical.

Okay, so I've started putting through my revised civil war plan. Through this new way, and with a bit of persistance, I may be able to end the civil war by the end of the month, though I want the last plot arcs to be done as well as possible, which is still why I would like people to take roles. Q has already volunteered for Eduard Xavier II.

Bear in mind, it isn't going to be particularly important until I have made a few more posts (I'll tell ya when it gets important for you tp RP the character in otherwords).

Remaining roles-

-Prime Minister Hein (His bit's coming up soon, so whoever wishes to do it will get to begin immediately. Also, for what I'm planning it may be better that someone other than me RPs him)
-General Gassel (a gift of a character, if one can pull off what I have in store, dramatically speaking)
-Field Marshal Poole (a short role, as he's intended to exit, stage left, very soon from my grand play that is Kasnyia)
-Colonel Reinhold (You've seen how he is. He'll play a smaller role than at the beginning, but a fun one nonetheless)
-Lord Zane (IF's majordomo, who will play a large role. As I have not actually given him any detailed characterization (just a broad one), this role has the most freedom of expression)

Would you now? Fine, he'll be yours to RP.

No worries, HCI, I'm no longer in THAT much of a pickle. Just trying to take some of the load off myself, as its a bit too epic for one guy to handle alone  .

Just reread the thread, and Ignatius asked for Gassel first..hmm...rather than give it to one or the other, let's see here...

How would each of you approach the character?

....this should be interesting to see.... ^_^

Gassel is a monster, yes. He's a brutal murderous villain. That doesn't mean he thinks of himself that way.

He thinks what he's doing is for the good of Kasnyia. He thinks that the imperials are pigs who are enemies of the people of Kasnyia. He's arrogant, and believes that the ends justify the means in the civil war. However, whenever he does not gain victory, he becomes quite nervous. He is truly afraid of capture, and would rather die first. The idea of being tortured and hanged frightens the hell out of him.

This is how I'd approach him. If you'd like a short bit of fiction on him, I can provide that.

To be brutally honest, I am not exactly sure why I posted that myself. I got distracted talking to Caron and now I forgot what the point was...
