Alright, I've reconsidered dropping the Empire for a little while, or rather, I am in the process of reconsideration. However, I don't want to play two nations in this RP now, so I'd like to ask all your opinions on which one I will drop. Note the poll is for which nation I will get rid of. I will probably keep the nation that gets fewer votes, though I may consider other factors than the poll in my decision. |

I can't decide, but if I HAD to drop one, I would drop Sakha... because I'm a Euro-Centric Bastard who loves the Empire. |

hmmmmm.............. Well I like Greater Sakha because it is a nice divergence from the standard norm of our world, though that is a stretch to say since there is very little that is normal in our world. That said, I like the God-King for what he stands for and the mannerisms you've given the past God-Kings. Though we are certainly allies as of late, I have always hoped to betray the Empire if only to make us enemies once more and have thrilling wars against one another like in the old days. However, I also like the Empire. It is apart of that elite set of nations that has been here now for many years. It has a history and elegance that puts it far beyond many of the nations we have here today. It is the centerpiece of the Orthodox faith and I fear without it (much as in the case of the Genesians and CE) the faith simply won't have the admiration and respect granted to it today without the Empire to back it up. Not to mention I for one would like to continue working with the Empire through Russia, spreading the faith and keeping close ties with the Imperial Family. I really don't want to see either gone. |

I like the Empire, though I can't resist seeing the Exarch go the way of the dodo, selfish as that is. :P I can't decide really, so I'll sit this one out. |

The Empire, only because you've developed an uber cool storyline about it dying already, and it would suck to waste it. Also it would be cool if you were still around in Asia, so I could let Velorya die and EE wouldn't be the last one. ^_^ |

Drop the Empire and keep Sakha, because when I think Asia, I think of E, AA Nor and Sakha. With AA getting blowed up, there won't be much left there to whistle about! |

What, doesn't Kasnyia ever fit into anyone's perceptions of Asia? :P In all seriousness though, the Empire is the better RP'd nation....I hardly ever hear about Greater Sakha except for a few tidbits on the God King. |

But The Empire has, to an extent, been done. I mean, the Byzantine tilt is quite unique, but a powerful, aristocratic monarchy with a religious spin has to be the NSWR archetype. The Genesian nations (including my own), the Islamic nations, Scythirus: perhaps the nations act nothing like the Empire policy-wise, but realize that they're basically the same thing when you strip away all the history; the blanks are just filled in differently. Sakha adds a new aspect to the mix: the fact that its king literally is god in their eyes. Now, several nations (Zolony, Scythirus) have done so too, but Sakha is the Progenitor, the Innovator. It would be like the Imperial nations losing Paradise. It stinks, even if Sakha isn't RP'd as much (for that, truly, is the distinction), for the possibilities are far greater. Imagine what RD could do with Sakha if all his time were devoted to it as opposed to the Empire. That's magic. |

I must admit Norightsia, that you have raised a compelling point. While I will reserve my decision a while longer, I do appreciate the issue you have raised. Now, I would like to say that if those who in the past were interested in the Rex Mundi project would join me in effecting its revival, I would almost definately drop the Empire here. |

Thanks for all the input. At this point, I just do not have many ideas for Greater Sakha, so I will in all probability let that one go. Sorry to all who will be disappointed. Then again, you guys probably know by now that I change my mind often before I execute my plans, so maybe it won't go ;) |

Well, I guess its official now. I finished my last Sakha story a little while ago, and today I spent perhaps two hours on a long post for Romania, so I guess that the question this topic posed is answered. |
