The Zeelaran airstrike was able to deliver a couple of its payloads to the reinforcements on the ridge, but not enough to do significant damage. The Sutekhite anti-aircraft fire and air support kept the Zeelaran bombing raid from being entirely successful and effective. Pharaoh's legions had danced this dance enough already in this war to know better than let themselves be held open for such an attack. Northward, the Sutekhites had effectively reclaimed the original advance from Hispanics. The northern town that had been captured was liberated and reinforcements to secure it were on the way. They would be needed as the Hispanics battered their mine field protection with missiles for another attempt to advance. In Ankhwugaht, the palace trembled as missiles struck random buildings around it. Some unfortunate targets had been government offices and others had been commercial or residential. It was a deep disgrace to be suffered. Pharaoh Sutekhahotep had peered outside of his balcony at the destruction before he retreated to a bunker deep below. A retaliating order was sent as missiles were fired from several bases along Sutekh-Te-Ankh's northern regions. They struck out and battered the Hispanic army camps beyond the Sutekhite border, demonstrating the Exiled Kingdom's rising fury. OOC edit: To make this conflict truly global, the Caronicilian attack on Bermuda should probably occur in the American Continent. |

OOC: NP, Hisp. Just remember that some things that are ignored have a "Ripple" effect later on. IC: The Eleytherian Forces landed at the nearest Zeelarian Airfield, the massive An-225 needed a gargantuan fifteen mile head start to properly turn and line itself with the runway. As the tremendous aircrafts 30 wheels touched down upon the airstrip, she gave out a deafening screech. As the aircraft slowed to a crawl, she taxied to park. Meanwhile, several smaller Antonov aircraft as well as the FS-1 escorts began to land on other strips of runway. Refueling was finally within sight. The friendship Eleytheria-Duo had with Zeelar saved many lives this day, Zeelars generous act of kindness would not go unforgotten. Finally, the engines were shut down and the exhausted men stepped down from their aircraft, observing the landscape around the airfield. Large numbers of supplies were being delivered to this location for the Zeelars to put to use, as for the aircraft themselves, they would be refueled and transport the rest of the supplies to the front lines. The Twenty Eleytherian FS-1 Fighters were the first to complete their maintenance, they had a job to do. The jets darted to the skies, screaming towards the Sutekh borders. |

To: Eleytherian Military Command From: Hispanic High Command Re: landing permission We recently recieved your message requesting landing permission. It appears that an engineer had turned off certain frequencies for causing to much interference, and your pilots requested permission on one of these frequencies. We deeply apologize for any dangers we may have presented your pilots, and of course would like to say now that any future craft coming through have permission to refuel. We apologize for the misunderstanding. Yours, General Ignacio Sanchez |

The Northern reinforcements under the command of General Woods had finally arrived at their target to the warm welcome of their allies. They would reinforce the city's borders while also joining the ranks of the Sutekhite lines for the defense against forward marching Hispanic lines. There was a certain irony to the war that even the General was aware of. Many Confederate soldiers were dying at the hands of the united enemy and yet they were dying to defend black allies.....BLACK ALLIES?!?!?! For countless years now the Confederacy had been in power and segregated and enslave Africans and yet now they were fighting for their very survival. It was mine blowing to even think they could stand beside them as equals. However, many found comfort in the fact that though they fought beside them as allies they would soon be taking many of them back as property at the wars end. As tanks and missile trucks took their positions they began to open fire on the Hispanic enemy. As Grey Ghosts continued to battle in the sky for aerial supremacy, anti-aircraft missiles and artillery aided in their battle. In the south the Confederates continued to battle in the streets of Ramatan. Tanks were being used constantly as road blockades as they would open fire on the first enemy group to round the wrong corner. Over turned cars and trucks were also quickly utilized as cover as Confederates began to hunker down for a long fight. Air cover from both sides made it almost impossible for either to get bomber support...it was all up to the ground forces at this point. D-squad had found themselves into what was reported at enemy territory as they hunkered down into a now vacated home. Captain Mayborne was the commanding officer of the squad as he looked over a city map give to the squads by their Sutekhite allies. "Hmmmm, we seem to be here gentlemen" said Mayborne. "With the enemy starting in this corridor of the city(pointing to a different spot on the map) I think it's safe to say they can very well be in this part by now. We should certainly take precaution as we..." The captain was silenced by a "shhh" from his look-out. A Zeelaran squad had just been spotted down the street. Quickly the men took their positions at ever available window within the house, some taking what was left of the upstairs. Quietly they waited as the cautious Zeelaran troops took a slow approach as they made their way down the city street, taking cover where they could. When they were finally within good weapons range, the captain gave the silent order and the Confederates opened fire. Within two minutes 4 of the 9 Zeelaran soldiers were shot dead in the street while the remaining 5 found good cover. A fierce firefight irrupted as both sides got on their radio hoping to reach reinforcements for their side first. The Zeelarans to their name were well trained and managed to take out 3 of the Confederates 10 soldiers within the house however the Confederates were battle hardened. Many of the troops fighting in this urban battle were veterans of the Brownsville Coup from Texarado. They had seen the horrors of that war and learn from it, knowing they could never make that mistake again. Grenades thrown from the Confederates took out another 2 Zeelaran troops while a surprising rocket launcher attack decimated the top floor of the building killing instantly the 2 Confederates while simultaneously bring down the roof and crushing 2 more while the remaining three took cover behind near by rubble. The odds were now even, 3 soldiers on both sides remained. The firefight continued for several minutes, there was no hope of reinforcement for either side as the closest support groups were also bogged down by similar street fights. Captain Mayborne and two of his soldiers was all that was left and he was tired of sitting. Noticing an alley way towards his position, Mayborne ordered his soldiers to take it, leaving him to continue to fire fight, now armed with two guns so as to continue to distract the enemy. The soldiers huffed their way through the rubble of the alley way until they came to a corner which turned into the direction of the street they had just left. Sure enough to the lead man's delight, it put them straight behind the Zeelaran positions. Counting silently with his fingers, the rushed the Zeelarans on three. The surprising attack caught the Zeelarans off-guard as two of the three remaining soldiers were killed, however not without taking both of the men with them. As this scene unfolded Mayborne rushed the Zeelaran position from his own and a hands fight irrupted between himself and the remaining Zeelaran soldier. Answering ever punch with an equally powerful punch the two men exchanged blows while bombs and the sounds of ruffles went off all around them. Finally Mayborne got the upper hand on his opponent and forced him to the floor. Taking his combat knife he stabbed the man in the chest several times. However to the amazement of the Captain the soldier found the strength within him for a final revenge and force Mayborne off of him using his legs. Mayborne stubbed off the man only to be gutted by exposed re-bar from the rubble of the nearby building. The two men now laid looking at one another at their throats began to fill with blood, drowning themselves to death. It was in this silent moment that the two men were no longer enemies but respective warriors of whom greeted each other kindly and shook one another hand. It was the respect that all dying soldiers had for their enemy always to be shared in that last moment before death. |

Despite constant attack, Hispanic forces had managed to hold out. Of the initial 155,000 sent, only some 90,000 remained, 80,000 of which had retreated back to the Exarchate. 10,000 troops remained trapped on the ridge, with pagans on one side, controlling the town, and slavers on the other advancing nrothward. Missile strikes were a daily occurence now, as Hispania fired long-range SCUDS into towns and cities of the Sutekhs. Meanwhile, Division A of the Armed Forces, 250,000 men strong, had laready begun corssing the Exarchate's border to save the 10,000 trapped soldiers. They encountered stiff resistance, but were slowly advancing. Another aerofleet had been mobilized, and was fighting to take back the sky. Long range artillary pounded enemy positions as the troops advanced. Tanks led the army forward. The second Hispanic wave was finally there. |

Reinforcements had at last reached the site of Hispanic belligerance, and none too soon either. Already the Hispanics were trying at a second attempt at penetrating the border, but tens of thousands new Sutekhite troops and hundreds of tanks and other armored assault vehicles would see an end to that in short order. They hurried to secure the town and the border. Hispanic prisoners were placed in the local county jail under lock and key. They were also routinely tortured for information. With the aid of the Southern allies, the northern border town was looking something along the lines of a fort now. Barbed wire, sand bags, ammunition, and explosives had been placed at every possible defensible position. The Hispanics would have a difficult time trying to gain this ground once more. Air cover from both Southern and Sutekhite airforces aided against the Hispanic jets. Missile fire was endlessly exchanged between the Sutekhite military bases and Hispanic artillery camps. Explosions would rock the desert sands at haphazard intervals on both ends of the border. |

While bitter war waged on the Pharaoh’s Northern, and Southern borders, the Qosh-Mahdi had been eyeing conflict from the quiet Northwest. BANAR (the Qosh-Mahdi’s influential board of business advisors) had long envied the rich oilfields so close to their eastern borders, and, now that this conflict had arisen, they also wanted a piece of the luscious pomegranate of Sutekh-Te-Ankh. In addition, the Muslims of Western Sutekh had long been oppressed by their cruel pagan masters. The time had come for the Qosh-Mahdi to free the faithful and annihilate the vile infidel. The Umma began to quietly amass troops on the Northwest Sutekh border. They numbered 15,000 regular troops with 100 light tanks and APCs, 170 helicopter gunships and transports and a crack unit of a dozen heavy Abrams tanks, known as Kharkadariim, the mighty war elephants of the Qosh-Mahdi. In addition, more than 40,000 Muslim militia joined the regular troops filled with the fire of Allah. All of these forces were put under Zaim Nuh, the Qosh-Mahdi’s most senior general. General Nuh first set about constructing an airfield in a secluded valley near the Sutekh border so that he could have air support when his time came to strike. He also clandestinely contacted many of the oppressed Sutekh Muslims who joyfully gave him valuabe information to navigate the paths through the treacherous minefields. Finally, all was prepared and the operation only awaited the Qosh-Mahdi’s command. It began in the dark of night. Nimble teams of militia mounted on camels skirted the minefields and assaulted the small border outposts. Behind these reconnaissance troops came the bulk of the Umma’s army. Helicopter gunships attacked the outposts with fury, spraying them with deadly gatling-gun fire. MIGs and bombers zipped off their payloads air-to-surface missles. And above all the carnage, the sound of a thousand thousand Allahu Akbars could be heard rising from the desert. |

The advance was slow, as Hispanic troops fought tooth and nail to cross the border into Sutekh. It was a huge land offensive, to be sure, but the Sutekh defenders had dug into the barren wastelands and were shooting every advancing soldier, retreating only when forced. It took nearly a week to move forward thirty miles. This was not what had been expected. However, the Hispanic goal was a distraction, and that was surely being accomplished. The Hispanic force trapped behind enemy lines had a temporary respite from bombardment as the main army moved forward, the Zeelarians seemed to maintaining an advance down south. Even if Hispania never made it that far into the nation, the overall goal might be accomplished. Meanwhile, missile strikes on the capital were almost daily now, taking out civilian and military targets alike. |

Sutekh-Te-Ankh was holding its ground in the north. The second wave of Hispanic lines was battered by the artillery and air fire of Sutekhite military forces. They would not allow these invaders to gain a second head within their borders. The Seceded South support in this conflict was much appreciated, decreasing the effort needed to guard the northern border. But to Sutekh-Te-Ankh's misfortune, another nation entered the conflict, stacking the cards against it. Al-Umma, a heathen nation that bordered Sutekh-Te-Ankh to the northwest, had begun attacks with the aid of traitors within Sutekh-Te-Ankh's borders. Islam was illegal within Sutekh-Te-Ankh, much like Judaism, Christianity, and general Horus-worship were. It was seen that the three "Abrahamic" religions were fostered and influenced by the vile god Horus, and thus against the law to practice. Sutekh-Te-Ankh's prisons were filled with people discovered to practice such heathen rites and waited for their executions, but not all were captured if they did well to remain unknown. These undiscovered traitors were sending letters over the border, describing important landmarks, and this treachery would not be allowed to go on. As the Qosh-Mahdi launched their raids against the Sutekhite western border, an inquisition was launched. Authorities barged into random homes, searching every corner of each house, and when Islamic paraphernalia was found, the occupants of the home were arrested. Convicted Muslims already held in prison found their mail access cut off and suspended indefinitely. As Sutekh-Te-Ankh quickly closed its grip around the Muslim infestation in its borders, the flood of information and intelligence for the Qosh-Mahdi trickled to a halt. Word eventually reached the Sutekhite capital, Ankhwugaht, and a legion of over ten thousand soldiers was sent towards the northwestern border immediately. Sutekh-Te-Ankh could not be allowed to suffer another breach to its borders in this conflict. National security needed to be maintained. |

IC: General Zaim Nuh, commander of the holy mujahadiin of the Qosh-Mahdi, recklessly paced a well-trodden oval in the desert sand while swearing to himself quietly in Arabic. He was dressed in a peacockish parody of a high-ranking military uniform complete with a Napoleonic Bicorn hat and a wall of brightly colored bricks adorning his chest like a stack of Legos. General Nuh had risen to his esteemed position because of his invaluable zealotry in the early days of the Umma and the Qosh-Mahdi. Though he had been a soldier since his youth and had conducted countless successful raids, assassinations, bloodfeuds and the like for the Qosh-Mahdi, the immensity of the operation that now faced him left him in pious awe. 55,000 men. He shuddered as his mind tried to comprehend the number. 55,000 men… and still things are not going as planned. His stomach lurched as the image of him kneeling before the Qosh-Mahdi with his shredded hat in his hands drifted across his mind. No! The operation must proceed according to plan. He, the Qosh-Mahdi, his brigadier generals and the leaders of the militia groups had sat within the polished marble board rooms of the Divine Palace for months planning the campaign. They had prepared for every possible scenario. The Qosh-Mahdi was Allah incarnate. Shirley his plan could not fail… and he had studied military history at the University of Wadj. But already they were nearly a day behind schedule! They had planned to neutralize the border outposts by the first morning and for the main force of regular troops and tanks to begin their assault on the small garrisons holding the oil fields by that afternoon. This plan proved to be a little ambitious. After all, three quarters of General Nuh’s men were untrained militia who had been handed AK-47s and RPGs. In contrast the Sutekh soldiers were far better trained and even though they had fast superiority in numbers and the element of surprise, the many militia groups floundered at the outposts. They had not sustained many casualties, however they lost precious hours in pointless firefights. Several militia units had broken through easily and had proceeded with their orders. Some would drive their camels deep into the desert guided by liberated Sutekh muslims where they would harass enemy supply lines and communications while others liberated various border towns and villages. The plan was to have as many as 20,000 men operating well behind enemy lines after the first day. General Nuh doubted that even half that number had completed their missions successfully. They had run into a small unexpected benefit. The small airforce of the Umma had received little opposition from Sutekh aircraft. This allowed the General Nuh's undertrained (and outdated) airforce to support the ground troops and bomb the enemy with relative ease. Undoubtedly, Sutekh fighters were far to busy in the northern and eastern fronts to pay much atention to their relatively small border incursion. After the third day, the main force had all but crushed the resistance around the oil fields and countless villages and towns had been captured. General Nuh was horrified at the terrors the faithful had suffered at the hands of the vile infidels. Often the mujahadiin had arrived in the villages just as local officials were carrying out mass executions of Muslims. He also heard tales of the horrible tortures that Muslims had been subjected to in pagan prisons. Nuh ordered every pagan temple burned to ashes and that the priests of Satan be cast into flames. However, the righteous mujahadiin had taken care of that order well in advance, and much much more. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image OOC: Yeah a map would be very helpfull |

OOC: A battle map is what you want, a battle map is what you'll get. So taking into account the generalized locations of each engagement I have created a map which as been approved by Scy. Posted Image Ramatan is where Zeelar and Nor are fighting, Northern Border Town is where Hispania is attacking and the Northwestern Town is the location where Coshvy is attacking. If you want anything more detailed than that, then I suggest praying to the Gods of Sutekh-Te-Ankh ;) IC: The battle in the city of Ramatan continued to rage on. Southern troops were spread out throughout the city engaging the enemy at will in a sort of blitz strategy hoping to confuse the enemy and constantly keep them on their toes. The Confederate allies of the Sutekhite soldiers were quick to pick up on this tactic and use it for their own. However, there was one that reflected their African heritage which was certainly something which set them apart from the Confederates. Every chance they got however, the Confederates took live prisoners to send back home to the states. Overall the General was pleased at their progress in Ramatan. They had every intention of holding the enemy here and keeping them detained why Northern forces held their lines. Together they would preserve the national security of the nation and win the war. |

Slowly the Hispanic forces had advanced. They had fought bullets and shells, with many deaths, and many injuries. But the darkest hour was behind the trapped 10,000 troops, who had fought valiantly behind enemy lines. It had taken over a week, but reinforcements had come. It was slow-going, enemy Sutekh troops had managed to delay the advance, but there was no stopping the flood of Hispanic troops. This was one war they would not lose. Meanwhile, the military against turned their attention to the town they had retreated from. It was ruined. There was no point in even attempting to take it. No strategic value, and the Hispanics even doubted a civilian populace left alive. Most had either died in the crossfire or escaped. Instead, orders came to avoid the town, and begin an advance directly south. They would advance deeper into Sutekh, turning a thorn in the side of the pagans into a nail, and achieving victory for the GTO forces. The infantry called the Hispanic High Command to send every available tank and APC. It was time for a rapid advance across the desert. |

The Sutekhites had shelled the Hispanics along the border long and hard. They had used the liberated town as a base of operations and a stronghold, fully expecting their enemy to take it again. But that didn't happen. Instead the Hispanics were moving right past them as they broke through part of the border lines. This was something of a problem, but not by much. The local generals met with their Confederate counterparts, a rough table serving a place to view a map of the area. A line beside the town they were all positioned in showed where the Hispanics were marching through, blatantly ignoring their presence. It was almost insulting to witness. "Obviously, what we need to do is take them from their right flank," stated General Sutikhar. "By simply passing us in this town, they've left themselves open to assault. They'll feel sorely punished for their insolence... as if we would think it impossible to stop such an advance." And so the order was sent out... the Sutekhites and the Confederates would attack the Hispanics on their right flank. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, along the north-western border, the legion of ten thousand Sutekhite soldiers from Ankhwugaht caught sight of their Qosh-Mahdi enemies. Scouts revealed that the Sutekhite forces were significantly outnumbered, and so camp was made. A plan had to be arranged, and it was decided that they would use the same tactics they used against the Hispanics farther north... assassinations of high ranking officers under the dead of night. Such a tactic had shown a breach in morale before, and it was only prudent to follow through with such a plan again. Thus dusk would come, and the Sutekhites would send their assassins in to penetrate the Qosh-Mahdi positions. |

Abdul loaded a grenade into his RPG launcher and raised his hand. Hundreds of others hidden in the rocks around him cocked their weapons and watched as column of six humvees sped through the rocky valley below them. They were a Sutekh scouting party. They were well armed and well trained and they should have known better than to drive through a tight desert valley in enemy territory. Unbelievably, the first humvee seemed to have missed the dozens the mines they had laid at the bottom of the ravine. Abdul thought it far more likely that his men had not assembled them correctly. None of them could read the instructions on the devices. They had guessed which button to push and then gingerly laid it on the ground and covered it with sand. Abdul sighed in frustration. Swinging from behind his boulder and took quick aim at the first vehicle and sent his rocket wizzing toward the target. It exploded in a red shower of shrapnel and at the same time the second humvee hit one of the few properly armed mines and went flying into the air completing a front flip before smashing into the ground. Both sides of the valley erupted in machine gun fire. More RPGs smashed into the targets and dozens of grenades were lobbed down the ravine. Within two minutes all that remained of the scouting mission was twisted, smoldering lumps of metal. Abdul sighed again. He his men needed to learn how to conserve ammo. The Umma’s militia had hounded the Sutekhs mercilessly. The scouting parties were their favorite prey they could be easily ambushed and overwhelmed. The larger bands assaulted the flank and rear guards of the Sutekh column as well, in lightning raids. However, when the Sutekhs stopped and dug in, they were at a loss at what to do. General Nuh was equally flabbergasted. He had expected them to come charging headlong into his main body. That’s certainly what he would have done. But no! The sat there and stared at us, not even firing a shot. Don’t they know were sitting on their oil? General Nuh stomach reeled in pain. He had gone to a fakhir before he went to war to drive the demon of pain from his belly. The fakhir had written a sacred text on lamb’s hide and told General Nuh to always carry it next to his skin. The pain had been lifted immediately when he first received the text, but now it had returned in full force. Maybe the amulet needed a refill. He had also purchased 7 good luck amulets and 4 scrolls with the more warlike of Allahs names beautifully inscribed upon them. He desperately hoped that these did not need refills as well. They had walked straight through the night. Patrols on the flank facing the town had doubled, but no attack had yet occurred. Meanwhile, six men had been arrested for approaching the force, although two were found to be farmers and released. The Hispanic force was not falling prey to assassins again, and was ready to stand strong against that particular threat. In the distance, scouts reported activity from the town. Troops were exiting the city, and approaching from the north. They were still a few miles out, however, giving the force about ten minutes to prepare. Hopefully it would be enough. Orders went out to take cover, and night vision goggles were taken out of the troop's emergency packs. The enemy got closer and closer, and here or there, gunfire erupted. However, no major confrontation seemed to occur asofyet. The full moon above gave the desert an eerie glow, as gunfire could be heard throughout the valley. The third major confrontation had begun, and this time the Hispanic troops had every intention of victory. |

Sutekhite forces hammered the Hispanic flank with everything they had. Mortar and missile fire lit up the desert sky as the stretch of the Milky Way loomed high above. Combat was difficult in the night, but night vision goggles helped with that immensely. Still, light would have had preferable conditions. It would be hours before Ra returned from his journey in the underworld. Knowing the desert better than their invaders, the Sutekhites sent several divisions to inch closer toward the enemy positions. Under the cover of fire, these men would engage the Hispanics directly, and hopefully improve their chances of scattering the enemy numbers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With night cover finally present, the Sutekhites sent their assassins out into the Qosh-Mahdi encampments. Many were skilled warriors, a few being Typhon Warriors themselves, the most elite men in the Pharaoh's Legions. Few in number, they crept silently through the sands and rocks... their irresponsible and lax enemy within sight. Guards, lazy and disorganized, were easy to creep past, allowing the assassins to seek out their targets. Not all of the assassins would succeed in executing the high ranking targets they were assigned to, but many of them would. Frankly the skirmishes with the Qosh-Mahdi had disappointed the Sutekhites, finding these foreigners weak in the ways of tactics and basic warfare despite their sheer number. It would seem Sutekh-Te-Ankh would only need the 10,000 men to destroy the entire force. The assassinations themselves would be extremely crippling. |

The plan to right the Hispanic's right flank was a clever enough plan. Most of the Confederates forces aiding in the venture took artillery and missile positions. The cannons and missile placements lite the ground on fire as the Hispanic troops returned the fire in kind. Though night battle weren't the confederates favorite, night vision goggles eased the plan of darkness. The desert was alien to them, hell for most of the soldier this was the first time they had ever seen a real desert. To them it was a real desert, not like the deserts of Texarado, no this one was filled with the shifting sands of times gone by. It was murder for most of the soldiers to climb many of the dunes they had to escalate over to reach the enemy. Because of the alien environment, the Confederates who did join their allies in the attack, did so in small packs which stayed close to their Sutekhite guides. Every now and again the Confederates would launch flares into the night sky, lighting the battle field beneath them. Given the distances of the missile and artillery placements, only the battle field around the Hispanic's advancements were lite, revealing mostly the enemies position and movements aside from the occasional advancing Sutekhite/Confederate packs. Dawn was so far away at the moment, but it would surely be a welcomed sight when it finally arrived. ____________________________________________ General Morgan sat in his base encampment pleased with the progress the Confederates and Sutekhite soldiers were having in Ramatan. All of the Northern sections of the city were completely under their control, with little push from the enemy to make it otherwise. Eastern and western sections saw some action, but nothing like the southern areas of the city. That was where the Sutekhite and Confederate forces had pushed back the enemy to almost their original entry points. It was certainly horrific sight as many of the surrounding urban environment had changed due to the heavy exchange of fire. Many building saw giant pot holes made out of their walls, there were hardly any glass windows in sight, and many of the drains in the area had been blown to rumble after it was discovered that they were the preferred hiding places of Confederate snipers. Tanks acting as road blocks made sure that little advancement was made for even when the tanks were over taken and destroyed, their hulls were still left to block the path. Air strikes were kept to a minimal given the density of the city, although they were not uncommon. Though highly dangerous, many of the Grey ghosts were order to full on charges through the sky skyline, mere feet from the road below, to delivery bombardments to enemy positions. Though this left them vulnerable to ease attacks many of the pilots came out lucky given the superior speeds of the aircraft. all in all, though this conflict was far from over, it was looking to favor the Sutekhite/Confederate side. |

((After the last assassination, Hispanic troops are very paranoid and alert to watch out for assassinations. New assassinations would not occur in any large number.)) |

Zaim Nuh, General of the noble army of the Qosh-Mahdi, trudged down the ornate marble hallways of his luxurious command center, grimacing in pain while holding his diseased belly. The wealthy pagan family that had owned the mansion that was now being held for ransom in the servant’s quarters. When the General first arrived was horrified to find statues of pagan gods adorning almost every flat surface, and frescos depicting their deeds on every wall and ceiling. He had all the statues removed immediately and ground into dust and had called an imam to cast the evil demons from the house and bought four more amulets just in case. General Nuh now had so many around his neck that his attendants joked they could hear the sound of the brass casings clinking together miles away. He had also called good Muslim painters to paint over the demonic pictures. However, General Nuh was also convinced that the smell of paint caused the brain to boil and would only allow them to paint for a few hours during the day so that the vile aroma would be gone when he returned. So, as he walked through the marble halls he saw glorious Ras and dark Sets and jackal-headed Anubises being slowly devoured by the pure, singular whiteness of Allah. And this gave him some comfort. God was on his side. Who can stand against Him? General Nuh arrived at his bedchamber. He moaned to the guards who opened the door with military precision. General Nuh always kept six guards outside his door. They were well trained and loyal- the finest his army had to offer. General Nuh was not one to underestimate his own worth. The guards closed the ornate wooden door behind him and he was left in the half-light of a Saharan sunset displaying its glory in the chamber’s massive western window. For a brief moment the beauty of the image relieved him of his pain. He quietly walked to the windowed doors that opened to the balcony, casually eyeing the images of pagan gods upon the walls as he went. Then he stared straight out the window, exhaled slowly and muttered the words: “Allahu Akbar.” At these words, a menacing image of a black tattooed god wielding a ceremonial Kopesh adorning the southern wall opened its white eyes. It crept silently behind the pious general and with one swift motion the demon grasped the Nuh’s head and slit his throat with the cruel blade. However, the Typhon Warrior did not realize his careless mistake until too late. Half a dozen brass amulets rang like bells as they bounced on the marble floor, their straps severed by the lethal blade. “Are you well General? General!” The guards, fearful that sickly charge had succumbed to his illness on their watch, burst through the door. The first was decapitated with a swift stroke of the demon’s sickle-sword. The Sutekh assassin spun with momentum of the movement and, with an audible crunch of ribs slammed his foot into the second guard’s chest sending him flying through the other four and skidding across the marble. The black demon dispatched another as he tried to rise with a vicious upward cut and carried the motion through to slice off the hands of another kneeling guard attempting to train his AK-47 on the demon. As the handless guard bent over in pain, the vicious warrior thrust his knee upward into the man’s face snapping his head backward spraying blood on the frescoed ceiling. Another of Nuh’s guards scrambled to his feet and whipped around with an SMG in hand. The Typhon Warrior deftly kicked it out of his and hand and jabbed his middle and index fingers beneath the chin into the hollow behind the V of his mandible and flipped the guard over his back into another beginning to rise. The guard threw off the body and opened fire with an SMG. The assassin ducked under the wide arc of bullets and plunged his curved sword into the guard’s gut and simultaneously disarming him. Then he swung the groaning body around by the hilt of the sword protruding from its stomach and unloaded on a pair of guards skidding around the corner at the end of the hallway. Dropping the spent SMG and releasing his corpse shield with a sickening twist of his kopesh, the assassin turned and sprinted down the bloody marble hall, over the body of General Nuh and crashed through the western window onto the balcony without braking stride. Bullets whizzed past him splintering tile and wood as he sailed over the balcony railing with a massive leap landing with a heavy thud on the roof of a garden gazebo, the roof tiles crackling under the force. With another powerful stride he jumped off the gazebo roof onto the soft grass of the garden, performing a summersault on landing to brake his fall. Picking himself up, the Typhon Warrior sheathed his sword, exhaled twice, and vaulted over the low garden wall into the desert. |
