Negotiations with Kuvekki

A remarkable change from how delegates were greeted before. As the train slowed to a halt that was carrying the Kuvekki representatives, President Wire was actually standing outside in wait. In his trademark jeans and windbreaker, a bit of his green and black checkered cloth belt slipping out, and hair hanging over his eyes, he stood there loosely. In fact, he had a bit of a smirk.

As they disembarked from the luxury of the vehicle, and into the warm sun, President Wire would bow slightly. "In the name of the eternal rising Rahours, I welcome you personally to The Incoporated States of Zeelar."

The Kuvekki delegate stepped out of the train, only to be greeted by Zeelar's president- Devin Wire. He waved at the President politely, while internally commenting on the weird way he dressed. Regardless, he was there for diplomacy- "Well now, President. Shall we begin our talks?"

He nodded softly with another, yet kind, smirk. "Would you not care to rest first? Or were you well fed on your train ride here?" He motioned for an open gazebo made of stone, suspended from a central column. "Do you mind if they are held outside? The weather is fine today."

"I require no rest; I've gotten plenty of sleep on the train," the delegate said politely. "I suppose the meetings could be held here in the outdoors, if that's what you desire," he was not sure what the Zeelarian president hoped to achieve with this meeting. He didn't see any immediate benefit from forming relations with such a small nation- then again, he thought, he'd need all the African support he could get if Kuvekk would ever join the Commonwealth and find wealth.

He smiled a bit, nodding, "I can tell that my pleasentries are becoming tedious. I will dispense with them. Zeelar is a nation that has much promise. It will perhaps be one of the only neutral countries remaining and therefore you can trust our corporations to be trading parteners at all times. Therefore...well...I believe that you get the picture."

"Investment into Zeelar would indeed be valueble. We recognize that it is a nation growing rapidly, and could be a great benefit to our economy if we were to invest. We'd see it as perfectly acceptable to build relations."

He leaned forwards then, a tad distrustful, "Is this all you have to say?"

"Mutual trust is something that is essential. I apologize if I came on as otherwise. Zeelar is a grand nation, and we hope the best for it. With time, I'm sure we can become the best of allies."

He nodded slowly, "Forgive me. I do not want to cause an international incident by any means. I only found it curious that you did not want to be calm and enjoy yourself. The delegates of so many other nations you must have met must have been stuffy and uptight. Is it because I am not that you distrust me? If so, I apologize."

"No, I trust you. My nation is troubled is all. We have found ourselves friendless on Africa, with our only real friends thousands of miles away, in Caronicilia, Vikkora, and Umojen. We are a nation of the third world. We cannot afford to be overly trusting, lest we be demolished and absorbed. I apologize for the terse responses."

He smirked, again his eyes hidden by his "willow tree" of hair. "Then consider yourself as one who has a friend in Africa. Now, what is it that you require of Zeelar? An open marketplace? A military alliance?"

"We thank you, kind sir." The Kuvekki delegate was excited. Suddenly enthused, he went on. "Both a military alliance and a open market trade agreement would be incredibly exciting. If it would be acceptable to Zeelar, than the Kuvekki Republic would like to request both."

He waved his hand a bit with a genuine smile, "Well then, so let it be written, so let it be done."

"Once again, I'd like to thank you for your kindness. I think its safe to say this trip to Zeelar has been beneficial."

He raises his eyebrows, though it is difficult to tell that he has, "Is...is that it? I dare say this has been the least problematic discussion I have ever been through. Proper paperwork and what not will be filed when embassies are choosen."
