I think the fact that, over the course of its short existence, JAUST hasn't already been hounded to death (literally) like the BP was, indicates that JAUST isn't important enough to be of interest to the Great Powers for any of them to take action. To the Great Powers, JAUST doesn't even exist. So Kas doesn't need to predict JAUST's impending demise.

I've always argued against superalliances but now that I've pondered it a little more, I think superalliances are o.k. - to a point. Because eventually they are all destroyed anyways, usually leading to extremely awesome RPs. Would JAUST qualify as a superalliance? Hmm, interesting question. But you will know when you are a superalliance when you have been dismembered by absolutely merciless opposition. The Great Powers are all fundamentally isolationist countries, each existing behind their own massive power, each balancing the others out. They do not tend to like alliances, and they especially are suspicious whenever other Great Powers join in hegemonic power blocs. Whenever the balance of power is disrupted, whenever powerful countries form a hegemonic power bloc, the situation will inevitably "correct itself" to result in the balance of power being restored. I think I'm just rambling now. But I do miss the good ol' days of the BP vs. everyone else. Whether or not that is good for a WWIII scenario, that's debateable.

I think its a little better than "does not exist". We do alot of diplomatic stuff after all, enough for recognition. I personally don't use the "super alliance" moniker when describing JAUST. It's AN alliance, not THE alliance. We have alot of members sure, but most of them are small nations. We're just an alliance that likes diplomacy. We're peacekeepers. We arent some overly militant machine, even though we would defend a nation within the alliance if attacked.

I disagree with you that alliances are only there for a few good RPs. Give credit where it is due.

Anyway, enough on this. Let's get back to the world war. Anyone want to answer my previous question?

Why does it have to be one big alliance against the world with intent to dominate the world? It's been done. Personally, I would like to see an end to superalliances on the forum. JAUST, the Holy League, the Baghdad Pact, and all others just make things less dynamic. I can't ask that, but now you know where I'm coming from.

I propose that this alliances not occur along superalliance lines. By that I mean that Kasnyia doesn't have to side with AA over the Commie thing just because JAUST says so, when they will be fighting for (generally accepted) nuclear terrorists. I think that it should be more dynamic than that.

Nor, you stated once before that you wanted to JOIN JAUST ... Contradictory don't you think? Besides everyone is saying 'No super allies' right now, but everyone changes their mind when threatened by a country who can kick their arse...

Hush and be a good little boy.

Oh shut up. :P

I wanted to join JAUST as an RP, back when there was still a Holy League. Now it's pointless.

And, even then I don't think that's contradictory. Furthermore I think that if someone was going to kick my ass, then there would be little that JAUST could do to sotp them.

However, Lebowski is right about my point. I also agree with RD. Kasnyia, what you said is hardly more concrete than what I did. JAUST fighting Commies and then Muslims taking over the world is hardly concrete. But if you must insist, how about this:

Asia
- Velorya goes to war against EE and AA over NeoDacia
-AU chooses between AA and Velorya who to help
-someone with in the majority side attacks one of his Allies
-all Hell breaks loose

Europe
-Commies attack AA
-a lot of people flock to help Yshurak take AA out.
-some people like AA, and they are attacked too

Middle East
-Sunni v. Shia'a conflict, with Romania and Co. not getting involved
-Romania and Co. take back Jerusalem
-Muslims settle differences long enough to attack the mandate of Jerusalem or whatever

Etc.

Nor. Once again, I never said anything ONCE about the Muslims taking over the world. Read my posts.

Also, no one has answered my question yet.

But that is the premise. Them trying to. Or at least Europe. TAKE YOUR FINGER OFF THE CAPS LOCK KEY.

And which question is that, now that it is probably an innumerable number of posts ago?

No, Nor, that is not the premise. You inferred it. I did nothing. I was thinking more like the Europeans made some political blunde with the Caliph or someone and suddenly all hell breaks loose. And I shall use the caps key as much as I wish. it is meant for emphasis.

As for the question, I was wondering why we have to pick one idea of hopw to fight the conflict overt he other. Why not do both? Having many alliances fighting in multiple regions AND having many smaller interconnected wars like RD wanted.

By the way, I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause. Kasnyia, if you mean by "my question" the question about why there can't be a mixture of local fighting and alliance based conflict, my answer is that it would seem that smaller nations would be deterred from fighting by the fact that it might attract a superalliance, which would swoop out of the air and destroy it without batting an eye.

1. If the premise is not the Muslims invading Europe in order to take it over, pray tell what it is. Are the Muslims attacking with the purpose of being defeated?

2. I know what the Caps Lock is for you dolt.

3. Because three superalliances is just as bad as one, and therefore having superalliance warfare defeats the purpose of having many interconnected wars. I don't know how you could really have both.

Not necessarily, lebowski. Besides there would be alot of alliances too busy fighting eachother world wide. the smaller conflicts can still happen. Besides...it would make for good RPing...

Nor, if I could say some things about you without getting warned, I would right about now ... your being irrational, sit down, relax, and try decaf.

Oh and, I would contest what you said about you only wanting to join JAUST because of the Holy League's existence, especially after what YOU said to ME over an AIM once, but I won't go there and have you go through a rant.

1. You're overreacting.

2. That's neither here nor there.

A single war on a grand scale can be fought with a multitude of wars simultaneously. It has happened before in RL and they are usually grouped together as a single war and such. It is very possible. I don't see why we have to follow one way over another when we can do both.

And I already described to you the ideas of a Muslim attack. Rather than they go in for some sort of land grab, they invade out of anger of some major incident (assassination or what hve you) and attack. They don't annex for the sake of expansion (if at all), and just fight. I dunno. Something can easily be figured out. It does not have to be world versus Muslims.

If I may, I would like to volunteer my services as a maker of Battle Maps for the World War. Seeing as most others whom can draft up maps are already making maps for continents and what not, I shall, with your blessings, take up the sword and paint brush to fulfill the task. :D

OK, thanks for clearing that up.

And I know just what I am doing to piss the Muslims off...greatly. RD, TC, Q; any of you guys remember what I'm talking about?

Yeah. ^_^

You realize that's a sure way to ensure that the Muslim Brotherhood comes in fighting and takes Jerusalem right back, don't you? Or, if you're planning on doing anything drastic like leveling the Dome of the Rock, we might just flatten the city entirely.
