Normally I could not accept the offer of jeopardizing an allies assets in a war they did not start, but this conflict is taking its toll on man and machine alike, and I fear a full blown stalemate shall soon ensue.

Your assistance against the Federalist and Russian forces would be greatly appreciated, as this has dragged on long enough. Do be forewarned that since the introduction of their super-fighter, an increasing number of decisive air attacks have been carried out by the Federalists in the West, we believe it to be a testing ground for the aircraft.

It may be a good place to investigate the origins of their aeronautics programs and perhaps capture a specimen for study and evaluation. Just be wary -- in the air, these things are nearly unstoppable.

20 miles away from the Eleytherian coastline, North West sector

It was the dead of night as several hundred Objekt-908a heavy gunships escorting a similar number of Objekt-908b supertransports, with over two thousand escort fighters acting as outriders for the group, made its way silently and stealthily toward the embattled lands of Eleytheria.

Flying low and using their WIG capabilities, the Objekt-908s were undetected as they crossed into Eleytherian airspace south of Mould Bay, where they would begin their journey and thread their way to their target.

Gassel had entered the war.

Snow Peninsula
Dealing the fatal blow

"FUCK!" the Socialist commander screamed, the Russian tanks plowed through their lines, sending a dozer load of dirt hurling into the air as it pummeled across the trenches and over anyone standing in the way.

Quickly, he grabbed his rifle and ordered his men to tighten their lines in their final defensive stand. As the Russian and Federalist onslaught continued to pound their positions, he was annoyed that some of his own men were running through ammunition very quickly without hitting anything.

Infuriated, he began shooting his own men that were too inaccurate with his sidearm, telling others to take their ammunition. Fear gripped them as the Federalists and Russians slowly beat them into submission.

The commander uttered the words; "I will not die with these cowards," before jumping from the trenches and wildly spraying his gun in the direction of the Federalists before a Russian tanks machine-gun sawed him in half.

Suddenly, the gunfire fell silent, and the Socialists all stood up with their arms stretching for the sky. One determined enemy was bad enough, but two working against them was just too much. They only prayed that their captors would show mercy...

Snow Peninsula
Keeping the pigs in their pin

It was now two days since the Russians at the aid of their Federalist allies, conquered the Socialist beach head. The enemy, overwhelmed by the determination of the Russians and the Federalists in their combine effort to crush them, surrendered without a fight. Many lives were saved due to that act, an act the Russians admired. It was one thing to fight with all your heart, in a cause you believed in. It was simply foolish to fight an enemy you could not overcome. Though a sound philosophy, not every Russian in the Russian command shared it.

Colonel General Miloradovich was pleased that his men came through, though in his mind there was really little doubt. He had trained these men for action and to always press on until their mission was complete. He trusted his men and believed they'd do everything within their power to complete their objective. The battle of the beachhead was all the proof he needed to know that his men were in it to win.

The Russians had treated their POWs with respect, at least as much as they believe they should be awarded. They were kept feed and warm, but little was done in the way of personal hygiene for them or his men for that matter. The plan was to take them back into friendly territory, back to some detention center where they could be probably questioned. The only thing now was the wait for transports and hope that the Socialist higher ups weren't planning on a rescue before the allies could move these men out.

Snow Peninsula
Minor Victory Major Impact

With such a stunning victory on the snow peninsula, the Russians and Federalists in the region finally had a rare reason to celebrate. The reds weren't bent on liberating their captured comrades, their resources were still too thin to launch an assault on a now well defended beach.

Both Allies, Russian and Federal, took the time to gather one another's wounded and bury their dead in cooperation. Paid their respects to their fallen comrades each in their own unique way.

While the war was still as bleak as ever, this victory was far more sweeter than it was bitter, it sent a message to the reds that no matter how well entrenched, no matter how numerous, they were no match for the combined might of right.

Three weeks later...

Rise of the Beast

Colonel Soruserk, the first pilot to test fly the FS-4, was making his usual rounds and photographing advancing Socialist battle lines. As the hour progressed, there was very little new to report. The Socialist armies couldn't advance any further into the east without taking extremely heavy casualties. Gently, he tugged on the controls, and the aircraft slowly glided towards the west. Traveling along a hot zone of socialist activity, he soon came across a patch of darkness on the horizon that had the appearance of a cloud of graphite dust.

He squinted to focus in on the fast moving patch, as he drew closer, the silhouettes of several massive aircraft, escorted by many smaller ones. Slowly throttling up, he approached to get a closer look, hoping his low Radar cross section would help avoid detection. Now close enough to destinguish the shapes of the small escort aircraft, he was horrified to see parachutes being deployed behind the large transports, and the markings of red stars on the fighters wing tips. The large cargo planes, however, bore a symbol he had never seen before.

Rolling his aircraft, he took several photographs of the event transpiring before his eyes. After taking a healthy number of snapshots, he rolled and darted towards the east -- but not undetected. In taking such a sharp manuever, the vortices of water vapor coming from his craft was spotted by the Socialist escorts, but did nothing to engage. If only because he was now moving too fast to attack...

"Shit. I have to get back to Kugaaruk Airfield..." he thought to himself.

August 8 -- Present Day

Rise and Fall

The heads of the Eleytherian state were gathered at the JAUST Superstructure to discuss defensive strategies for the immediate eastern region. With the removal of the socialist pest from the Snow Peninsula, resouces could now be allocated elsewhere, as the Reds simply didn't have enough resources at the moment to launch a strong enough attack to retake their beachheads.

While they waited for the developed photographs that Soruserk had taken earlier, they were in deep thought on the negative direction the war was increasingly taking, even if victories were aplenty, they simply weren't enough to win the war. A hundred stunning victories wouldn't be as devastating to Andrey as one small defeat could be to the Federalists.

Catherine sighed at this thought, she looked squarely at Kevin, her Vice-president and said in a low voice "We're going to loose this war."

Kevin was slightly shocked by her statement. "We've come this far," he replied.

"Its not far enough, Lowas. Every day countless lives are lost, people who have families, homes. And for what? To loose to a 10 million man army at the end of the day?"

"No-- No," Kevin began, disturbed by the loss of Catherine's faith in victory, "To save lives, to protect the very homes they helped build from being destroyed by the Socialists, to keep their families from being killed under the hand of a tyrant. Catherine, please, don't give up hope now."

"I'd like to believe we could win this, I really do. But right now I cannot see that happening," Catherine said, shaking her head in doubt, "I mean, we haven't even heard anything from outside the borders in two weeks."

"Just because the world has abandoned us does not mean we have to abandon each other," Kevin replied, choked up at the thought of loosing.

"I know, Kevin. I know. We have not been abandoned by all, we still have our allies in this ongoing struggle. But I think about those we haven't heard from. For all we know the Emperor of Kasnyia is dead by now, along with the entire Imperial family. What little information comes out of what was once a beautiful country, now turned hell hole is scant at best."

"And you think we're going down the same road they went down?"

"I'd certainly say the leaders behind both civil wars were driven by far more than just power and ambition alone. I fear that they may have more a uniting factor than we are capable of seeing."

Kevin gulped at the thought of Andrey and Gassel working together, such a thought seemed incomprehensible. "Are you saying these latest troop drops may not have been Andrey's soldiers, after all? Your saying they were Kasnyians?"

Catherine stared blankly at the table for a moment; "I wouldn't put it passed them."

"I wouldn't put it passed them..." she said again in an indistinguishable whisper. Just then, the rest of the members of the military arrived -- maps and all -- to discuss the latest defense plan...

-Somewhere in mainland Eleytheria-

With their forces landed and the second wave not due for several days, the officer in charge of the KMR expeditionary task force, Brigadier General Noah Von Ronsenburg, called for a meeting over secure channels to the nearest Socialist General, to devise strategy. While the Militarist forces waited for a reply with the time and location of the meeting, it was determined that the KMR task force needed a base of operations. Rae Lakes was chosen for the site.

As they did that, KMR forces located on the islands were to fortify themselves immediately, whilst preparing a strike and the nearest Federalist-held base. The KMR navy would supply three battleships and two carriers, along with escort ships and backup ships right into the western bay to launch a four-way strike against Paulatuk, Bernard, Sachs, and Fort Holman.

Once in contact with the Socialists, the strategic aspect could be discussed. General Von Ronsenburg studied the maps as he waited.

Alliances

Alexander, forced to retreat from the Snow Peninsula after one victory and two defeats at the hands of the Federalists and Russians, had relocated towards the front. It was on the outskirts of Reliance that he and his men set up a mobile headquarters.

"Sir," said a communications officer handing the General a piece of paper.

"Thank you, Soldier."

As he glanced through the note, he realized that some serious backup had arrived. A great number of Kasnyian paratroopers had landed across most of the western half of the country. And with far more superior equipment than the average soldier carried to boot.

Unbelievably, recent reports seemed to indicate that the Federal forces were actually slowly wrestling back air superiority over the Socialists, despite their Air Force having been reduced to a quarter of its former strength. If the Socialists lost control of the skies, this war could take a bloody turn for the worse. They needed to act quickly.

It appeared that the Kasnyian General was offering a way for just that; A way to end this war far quicker than things had been progressing. Due to a lack of electricity in the area for the moment, Alexander was forced to write a letter and send his response by courier to the General.

He wasted no time dispatching a single jeep -- rigged with explosives just in case the Federalists ambushed it -- to deliver the message to Von Ronsenburg.

A curt reply was sent back.

--------------

"Rae Lakes has been seized. Meet us there at your leisure. We need to meet soon to discuss strategy."

- Gen. Von Ronsenburg

---------------

Indeed, as the letter was being sent, Rae Lakes, with its minimal defenses, had come under heavy siege by what they believed to be Socialist heavy assault troops. The town was overrun within the hour as many of the defenders fell back to Port Radium to conserve their strength.

General Alexander finished his final duties at the outpost before accepting the Kasnyian Generals offer. The outpost finally had a working generator. He took the time to study a few updated maps, he couldn't be more pleased with the results progressing in the Islands and western section of the map-- But the East was a thorn in everyones side.

Grabbing his black beret, adorned with a red star, he stepped out of the tent flapping in the cold breeze. His UAZ awaited to transport him 200 miles west to rendezvous with the Kasnyian General at the small Town of Rae Lakes. The citizens there were always better at fishing than fighting, but all the more reason for the Kasnyians to set up their headquarters in this location.

The ride was agonizingly long, even pushing the UAZ's operational speed on the large swirling dirt roads that were typical of long trips in Western Eleytheria-Duo. The only paved roads out here were either direct routes to the nearest City, or in the Cities themselves.

Unfortunately, the nearest City to the General was still under Federalist control, making traveling the paved routes an option that couldn't be taken. Finally, after a six hour drive, he arrived at his intended destination.

Despite its small size, and the skirmish that took place here, the town was in remarkably good shape. The roads were well paved, and the town square was smoothly cobbled; The common trademark of Eleytherian town masonry.

Stepping out of the UAZ, and promptly stretching to loosen his stiff bones, he walked into the Town Hall building, a location that was cleared of civilian activity and instead appeared to be converted to military usage.

As he walked into a large room with maps laid out on a large crescent shaped table where normally town officials would gather, the Kasnyian General awaited him and took note of his arrival in the room, as his tan and red uniform stood out from all others.

"Allow me to be frank, General Alexander," Von Ronsenburg stated as they shook hands, "We need to take care of this bussiness against the federalists quickly, and I think you will like the plan I have in mind."

At that, one of his staff brought a large map of Eleytheria and rolled it on the table.

"The plan is to seize Gjoa Haven from the enemy, which is thankfully behind our own lines," the General began, "However, the Federalists maintain a significant force just north of there and Taloyok that could be used to reinforce the position in a matter of hours, driving the advance to a standstill. This is what I propose..."

He then took all the Socialist Army tokens north of the position and in the islands where no fighting was happening and movd them all to where the Federalist northern line, itself north of Taloyok, was located.

"Put extreme pressure on them there, as my own men come in from the South East and lay an assault on Gjoa Haven. The defenders would either have to fall back to Gjoa Haven or let it fall to us."

"And what of reinforcements from the eastern line to the south?" General Alexander asked.

"I was about to get to that," Von Ronsenburg nodded, "As that force...let us call them Group A...follows the aforementioned strategy, we will have a second operation in place to blitz Padlei and run the advance all the way to Arivat, connecting us with your navy on the other side."

Alexander nodded approvingly.

"Ahh, and that would force the line to constrict at Wager Bay..."

"Exactly."

"However, what of the holdouts in the western portion of the country?"

Ronsenburg nodded again.

"We hve a naval group enroute that will be bombarding the seaside settlements with impunity. That would be your cue for your land forces to move in and secure. Those further inland are not a threat. So, General Alexander, shall we proceed with this plan?"

"Indeed." Alexander nodded, "I will have to contact my *Higher ups...*" he said with obvious meaning to Andrey, "... about the strike on Taloyok. We were intent on taking the region within the week. However, I have been given orders from my superior to allocate air resources to actively attack the fortifications, rather than rely on artillery or bombardments.

This would mean diverting attention away from Sol Air Base, which would instead be struck by several artillery batteries we have stationed across Baffin Channel. The problem is, we cannot entirely see what we are striking with artillery alone, and their runways may become active again.

If we execute this strategy, it will need to be done quickly, and the army North of Taloyok would need to be near completely annihilated if this is to be done correctly, and smoothly."

General Von Rosenburg nodded.

"As for the front line itself, I am in a bit of a dilemma. Andrey wants to pull the bulk of our troops from the west to the East to prevent a punch through from the Federalists in the event they lay the first strike. If this happens, Gjoa Haven will no longer be behind our lines.

That said, I have little choice but to follow orders and to begin withdrawing forces around the Great Bear and Great Slave lakes and strengthen our lines. It'll be solely up to you to eliminate the Federal scourge in these regions."

"If all goes well," Alexander continued, "We will have captured one of the three largest and most important cities of Eleytheria-Duo within the month. But I can assure you of one thing, General; When our flag finally flies over its walls, I dread to hear of the casualty reports, for they will not let Gjoa Haven fall without a horrific fight."

"My dear General," Ronsenburg replied, "They will indeed not let Gjoa Haven go without a fight...but in the process, they will lose the rest of the country."

And so they prepared into the night the details of the planning. By the next day, they were ready to strike.

Drawing the Line

A radio crackled in the background, the tents cloth fluttered in the wind played its distinct tune, and Alexander's voice spoke into the microphone...

"... no, Comrade Premier. Everything is under control at the moment."

"Alexander, don't let the Fed scum break through that line! We need to keep Gjoa's supply lines cut!"

"Yes, Comrade Premier. Are you sure you do not wish to share this intel with the Kasnyian Generals?"

"No! You handle it. The less the Kasnyians are involved in this specific task, the better. Begin withdrawing the bulk of your troops away from the west and fortify the lines. I want you and a team of your best men to head to a small Eleytherian Airfield about 80 miles North-East of Yellowknife."

"I wouldn't presume to question your orders, Sir."

"See to it that you don't, General. You will investigate this Airfield without question. If intelligence is correct, you will learn for yourself what resides there. Just be sure to capture the place BEFORE the Kasnyians do. Secure any vital intelligence and destroy the complex."

"What shall I tell the Kasnyian army should they catch up to us?"

"That the Federal dogs sabotaged the base before it could be secured. Now Go!"

"Yes, Comrade Premier."

Alexander, still puzzled by Andrey's uncharacteristic behavior, gave orders to begin withdrawing forces out of the western regions to the front. Save for a few hundred elite units that he would personally lead to the site in question.

"What significance does a small civilian airfield hold to Andrey?" he asked himself in bewilderment. Regardless, he set out immediately before the advancing Kasnyians were at its doorstep.

The rest of his troops, started their march in an agonizing journey eastward. It would take over a week for all of them to reach their destination, but if Socialist intelligence was correct, they were about to be needed...

Alexander, leading a team of special forces, closed the distance upon a remote Federal airfield, its remote location and small size made it seemingly useless from a broader perspective on the war.

Strategically, it was not a threat, as the Socialist army had already established strong air defense around the general region, making whatever few aircraft stationed here virtually useless.

Under the cover of twilight, the darkest period of the day this region of Eleytheria-Duo experienced during summer months, the Socialist team moved in upon the base undetected.

As they approached the large fencing that surrounded the compound lands, they were shocked at how poorly defended the location was. Many of the soldiers had moved elsewhere to evacuate citizens. The airfield was already scheduled for destruction before the Socialists could capture it, Alexander had to move quickly.

Quickly cutting into the fence, they rushed through the gap one by one, with a clear line straight to the nearby hangars. Due to the lax security, it was all too easy to infiltrate the compound...

Drawing the Line Pt. II

In the hours of their darkest moments, the Federalist Army was preparing its final assault in the war in the desperate attempt to break the Socialist line and reunite Gjoa Haven with the rest of the country. From there, their troops in the south of the country could fortify the shorter and more defensible position that connects Wager Bay to the Gjoa strait.

Within an hour of preparing, the Federalists made their move... The two armies met on the field of destiny a deal south of Taloyok, the raging coasts roared in the background, and soon too would their weapons...

Artillery batteries opened, the Grad positions let loose a howling roar, armored vehicles rumbled towards the Socialist lines, and over a quarter million men rushed to meet the Socialist threat head on.

In the trenches themselves, the Socialists were in a panic. Nothing but screaming could be heard over the pandemonium that had ensued, shells and iron rained from the sky with a terrible fury.

The armored divisions engaged the Socialists' own armor head on, the outdated and poorly equipped Socialist tanks were no match for the superior firepower and electronics boasted by the Federalists. Within the hour, the Socialists within the immediate region were in full retreat, and their entire armor division North of Baker Lake utterly destroyed.

Federalist regulars stormed the region to mop up whatever was left of the straggling Socialist line. The Reds were spread too thin to adequately defend such a large defensive line, and without any firm consolidation, it was all too easy for the forces of Kugaaruk to smash through.

By the time the sun began to rise back into the sky, Socialist positions for miles were burning. Unfortunately, the Socialists did not retreat westward as predicted. Instead, they consolidated along the coast itself, preventing the Federalist armies from unifying Gjoa with the rest of the country.

Regardless, the Socialist line had been severely weakened, and without immediate reinforcements, they may very well be driven back towards the plains in the west. The odds were still very much against the Federalists, but they had dealt a stinging blow to their long time rivals. And they were savoring every second of it...

Central Eleytheria-Duo
The King of Eagles Pt. II

It took little time for Alexander to sweep the poorly defended airfield clear of Federalist guards. Most simply surrendered rather than fight, but a fair deal were indeed killed. The General also discovered the importance of the airfield; It was a research and development site built away from prying eyes.

Alexander realized that the bases value diminished to the Feds when the site fell behind their lines, they had tried to destroy their more valuable secrets, and had some success. Save for a database full of blueprints, every aircraft that Alexander and his men could find were utterly destroyed and burned.

The hard drive itself would need to be returned to a Socialist lab for analysis, but the results promised to be interesting. Word had it that the Kasnyians were approaching after seeing smoke rising. With Alexander's prize in safe hands however, he was confident they would find nothing of interest...

The attack began at midnight.

Under General Von Ronsenburg, Kasnyian troops made an extremely large push against the line at Gjoa Haven, pushing back down the small Federalist force there and surrounding the city.

Further down the line, another Kasnyian group made a heavy offensive on Padlei, with the attack being so unexpected that the offensive made it all the way to Arivat before any real resistance could be made.

Now it was time for the Red Army to make their move.

----------------

When the small Kasnyian team approached the smoking wreck, they found what looked like it was once an aircraft....something that would interest General Ronsenburg for sure.

They wuickly recovered the wreck and took it to their base.

The Federal Generals were in shock at the swift speed at which the Kasnyians were moving. They were already scrambling to withdraw troops Northward to guard the major cities of the North.

When word came that Gjoa Haven was already under siege, the third largest City in the country, there was panic in command to salvage whatever could be salvaged from the region. Troops could not be pulled out of the City, nor could they enter it. The very walls mandated to protect it were also the very thing that both prevented it from being attacked outright and/or being reinforced by friendlies.

It was still far more safer to be behind solid walls, than be on the open countryside. The shelter they provided proved to comfort the fearful citizens of the City, and gave the Soldiers a reason to defend the City to the last man as there was no way out.

Even if the City was destroyed, the lives behind the walls, would be too valuable to surrender to the likes of Andrey or his allies.

A single Mi-17 escorted by two Mi-28's flew the seized Hard drive just in time. The Kasnyians were now on base, and Alexander merely shrugged off their presence as he organized the salvaging of whatever was left of the facility.

The Kasnyian commander approached him...

"General. What happened here, is all well?" the Kasnyian asked him, carefully prodding for information.

"Yes, everything is fine," Alexander replied, "But the Federalist bastards destroyed all their aircraft before we were able to capture them. They were quite cunning in preventing them from falling into our hands.

There are a few FS-1 debris left that we could make out, and a single aircraft that looked like an F-22 or F-35. Likely left over from the Eleythro-Veloryan exchange many, many years ago. Go ahead and examine the remains if you like, they are of no use to us."

Little did Alexander know that the "F-22 Debris" was the very prize he was to capture, nobody informed him of the FS-4, and soon, the Military Republic would have molten debris that would hint to its existence in this region.

Upon having it shipped to Kasnyia, the scientists knew at once that it was no F-22. Whatever it was, it would be studied. Maybe something could come of this.

---------------

The second wave of attacks would be coming soon, but the Kasnyians needed the Socialists to come in from the north to distract the Feds northeast of Gjoa Haven. In the meantime, the city began to be sieged, as it was now totally surrounded both on the ground and in the air. Kasnyia would soften them up as they waited for reinforcements...theirs or from the Reds, whichever came first.

---------------

Arivat fought hard, but soon the KMR forces could see the shore of the Hudson. When reinforcements arrived, they would have an easy time of it, but for now, they kept their momentum going as long as they could.

The Siege of Gjoa Haven Pt. I

If there were any lingering doubts in the direction the war was heading, the truth was revealed when the first bombs began to fall on Gjoa Haven. The Federalist AAA batteries lit the skies ablaze of fire, and missiles were cutting through the skies in a dazzling display of swirling streaks of amber.

No matter how much firepower the Federalists let loose to try and break the air siege, the iron kept falling, and once mighty structures continued to crumble. One thing that had taken little damage as of yet, however, was the walls.

Throughout the day, and deep into the night, explosions continued to rock the City as the siege continued on...

Flee while you can

The Federal Government was falling apart under sheer weight of numbers against it. If this war were fought on more equal terms, they would have won in a resounding victory. But the fact of the matter was; They were heavily outnumbered.

Catherine stood quietly near the office window that overlooked the vast grassy plains of Eleytheria-Duo, awaiting for Gregory to enter. And he did so soon afterwards.

"We need to talk, Gregory" she said quietly, still staring out the window.

Just those very words put Gregory at unease. Back when he first met her, those words generally meant he was about to be reprimanded, but in these circumstances he knew it was much more serious. "Yes, Cathy? What is it?" he inquired in a caring tone.

"With the arrival of the Kasnyians aiding Andrey, an alliance of such pure evil I cannot even fathom what atrocities they commit together, all realistic chances of our winning this war has been lost.

I need someone, you, to leave the country and send a message to Pacifica. A great deal of refugees will be seeking to find shelter from the war, they are the people's only hope."

"And what of you, Catherine? You expect me to leave you here?"

"I...I cannot just abandon my duties, Gregory. I swore to protect the people of Eleytheria, and I shall."

"And I swore to protect you," Gregory replied, "This... Andrey... He'll kill you just to prove a point. If I leave you here, I'd be leaving you for dead. I can't... I won't..."

"Greg ... Please... Millions of lives depend on you to send word to the viceroyalty of Pacifica of our current situation. Do this for me, its all I ask."

He paused, but broke the silence soon after. "What do you wish me to say to them?"

Catherine smiled, and explained what needed to be done...

IC-

What few Imperial Army forces could be spared were sent to the border to help the refugees along to the safety of Pacifica. While Harzmann wished he could help, the Imperial military had been broken by Gassel's victory. And so he looked on, unable to do a thing...

-------------------

A breakthrough.

A section of one of Gjoa Haven's walls had collapsed, giving the sieging military that surrounded the break they needed to seize the city. At once, thousands of soldiers and vehicles rushed the gaping hole and pushed through before the inner defenders could fortify the section.

Within hours, the KMR had secured a fair chunk of the inner city.

Arivat was theirs. Reinforcements were in the process of delivery, consisting of armor and heavy infantry to reinforce the lines, but the KMR and the red now had access to the Hudson Bay....and thus Andrey's navy.

By now, majority of the hold outs in the southwest of Eleytheria had disappeared to help the refugees escape, allowing more troops to be freed up to help in the assault of Gjoa Haven, whose defenders were teetering upon collapse.

The war would soon be over annd won.

Such a long civil war...the attrition alone would have caused the country to collapse by now....

Gjoa Haven, Eleytheria-Duo
The Siege of Gjoa Haven Pt. II

The first wall had collapsed and fallen to the vast number of Kasnyian Military Soldiers, and the second one was now riddled full of breaches from bunker busters pounding it into dust.

With nowhere to run, and the civilians live now in greater jeopardy trying to defend the City than simply surrendering, the local Federal commander issued orders to surrender. Soldiers lay down their arms, but others threw their weapons in hidden stashes throughout the City for distant future resistance...

Taloyok Peninsula, Eleytheria-Duo
The Big Pinch

The Feds were spread thin, even when confined to a narrow corridor of their country, the sheer weight of numbers thrown at them were staggering. While even still the majority of Socialist forces were on Baffin Island, the numbers beating into the Northern Taloyok Peninsula were terrifying.

Naval warships off of the east coast pounded the Federal positions, which was made all the worse by Socialist armies pinching the Federalists from three directions. They were left will little choice but to retreat southward towards Taloyok.

The cities garrison was strengthened, unlike Gjoa Haven, Taloyok's walls would not fall as easy, not with connection to the rest of Free Eleytheria...

A message from the North

Coughing and gasping in an attempt to catch his breath, Gregory rushed to deliver a most important message to Pacifican authorities. He was greeted by a young guard member, whom approached him outside the fencing of a large Government building.

"Can I help you, Sir?" he asked, to Gregory's relief.

"I need to deliver a message to the Viceroy, directly if possible."

"By who's authority?" the guard asked in a somewhat forceful tone.

"From the President of Eleytheria-Duo."

"Federal, or Socialist?" the guard inquired, noting the mans thick Russian accent.

"Federal!" Gregory snapped back, "Did it sound like I said *Premier,* boy? I didn't think so..."

"Sorry, Sir. Its my duty to ask questions. Hold on one moment as I run this by my superiors."

The young man proceeded to a nearby guard shack where Gregory could see him pick up a black phone. He could only wait...

...Inside the Guardhouse...

"... Yes, sir. There is a man who claims to be from Federal Eleytheria. He claims to have a message for the Viceroy from the Eleytherian President, but his accent is pretty thick and it isn't their native Inuit."

"Yes, sir. Will do."

The guardsmen hung up, and Gregory could see him approaching, he could only guess what he was about to say...
