CLEVELAND ROCKS!

OOC: Suitable Name? If anyone has something better go for it! IC: Inside Flumes troops continued to ready supplies. In Acies supply trucks and the ocasional tank rolled down the street. At the coast, near the mouth of the Congo River fighters flew over. Massive amounts of ships protected the entrance to the river. Troops from the south, many who had been fighting rebels in Zolony marched north trowards Ziyer, and West to the coast. The average Flumesian was ready for this war, upset for years of impearlism in Africa, they wanted to fight. While the war may have been started over Ivory, to Flumes the meaning was much deeper. |

Sutekh-Te-Ankh... the one kingdom in the world that still worshiped a number of the Egyptian deities. While their religion still paid respect to the chief deity of the pantheon, Re, Sutekh (or Set to the Greeks) was the most important god of their religion. They recognized that Re wanted Sutekh to rule Egypt and not his brother Ausar (Osiris) and thus rightfully conquered him. They believed that Horus was a corrupt usurper that has since eons past corrupted the world. This country to the south... this... Flumes... showed the very corruption of Horus himself by wishing to seize the ivory trade and crush the economies of Africa. This could not be allowed, so great Pharaoh was busily organizing his legions to march down into the southern jungles north of the Congo where they would crush these Flumesian heretics with the aid of the assembled nations of Africa. It would be the greatest military campaign Sutekh-Te-Ankh had seen since the Sutekh-Horus War that led to the Great Exile. Pharaoh Sutekhahotep XXXII watched proudly from his palace as assembled lines of infantry transport and artillery drove towards the southern borders of Sutekh-Te-Ankh to join the rest of his legions. Flumes would pay for its insolence. No mercy was to be shown to a Flumesian heretic. |

Flumesian Troops marched through all major cities in the country. Tanks sat in the middle of streets, barricades were in place on the major road. Flumes was ready for a fight. In Acies, almost every building was armed to the top, snipers, we're on almost every roof. The Congo river was lined with machine gunner's waiting for any sign of an invasion, at night the river was lit with spotlights, it would be just as hard to cross at night as in the day, possibly harder with Flumesian troops hidden on the shores. The air force was preparing for a raid of their own, while Flumes wanted to defend the homefront, they weren't just sit back and wait for the war to come to them. Fighter's and Bomber's prepared for their assualt on Ziyer, the targets hadn't yet been released, but the countdown had begun, 24 hours till Operation Heavy Needle. |

OOC- I'm not particulalrly feeling this war, to be honest with you, flumes. I'll go through the motions, but I'd rather we have a cease-fire or armistice, or something... IC- The IKS Pfalzgraf entered Flumsian waters, with backup from the New Medean fleet, intent on destroying Flumes's naval capacity, and possibly even seizing their coast. Meanwhile, the Colonial Army of Ziyer readied itself for defense, heavily fortifying Vallisburg and the southern border, letting the Sutekh Army and the New Medean Army fight the occupation of the ivory fields north of Ziyer. In Vallisburg, Field Marshal Krauser prepared long-range artillery to bombard Acies. The airforce readied bombers, airship-carriers and recon aircraft and moved them from bases nearby the border into attack formation against Acies and nearby bases. |

The Great African Ivory Scramble was already under way. Pharaoh's Legions, the single fighting force of Sutekh-Te-Ankh, had arrived at the battlezone after a solid three days of marching. The jungles were thick in this area of Africa, and thus most of the terrain was unfamiliar to the Sutekhites. For this important reason, the camps being set up had increased guard, fearing an imminent attack from the Flumesian heretics. Now General Raka Nikruu watched from his command tent the darkening jungles as Great Ra sat in the west. Tomorrow would be the time to strike. The enemy was just over the ridge. He turned his gaze to where teams had been clearing away trees for the armor divisions that continued behind them miles behind. Such a liability that was, but they would be useful in the full scale invasion of Flumes that they had planned. Once Ra awoke again from the east, it would be time to strike. |

OOC- I was wondering if we could postpone this...maybe this can be one battle in the African theater of the war...redefined of course as I doubt anyone would care for ivory when other things are more important in total war, but we can still have the same battle...maybe the elephants will be on alot of oil or something.. |

I'm sorry that doesn't make sense. Can we postpone this except make it a totally different war? Why can't they just have their war now and have something else when the World War comes. The ivory story is a good story and there is no good reason to just scrap it because we will have a world war sometime in the future. |

I've not been keen on this war since its inception, and I'm taking every and any avenue not to take part in it, though my nation is at the forefront. <_< |

OOC: I concur. The idea of postponing it for the world war is utterly ridiculous and inconsistent. Sutekh-Te-Ankh has set its armies. Now the Ivory War must go through! |

A shunting engine lazily tugged a pair of emptied steel flat cars from the servicing spur of a large radio broadcasting facility that even now was putting out a speech, in English, on a 30 meter wavelength broadcast band. "Such that this was could be prevented by agriculture! It is a great travesty. Our magnificent President Wire had devised a plan by which large elephant farms could be constructed so that not only could these magnificent beats greatly grow in numbers but ivory could be collected in an ecologically safe manner. As well as this, the food source is incredible. This sort of economic boom would be beneficial as well." |

General Raka Nikruu grunted in displeasure as many of his reinforcements for the Ivory War were called back to defend Sutekh-Te-Ankh from invaders. No doubt the evil god Horus was up to his old games again. He wasn't certain if he had enough troops now to chase Flumes out of the area. Many of his campaign plans would have to be carefully revised.... |
