Durick Veta has waited for a great while to see Anton Proust tried. The Government formally requests Great New France to begin trial, or we will request for him to be sent to Veta for trial. -President Jason Essex |

If he is not tried in France, The Kasnyian Government will try him in Pacifica for crimes against humanity. You have the Emperor's word on this. |

Anton Proust will be tried in due time according to the Penal Code of the Empire of Great New France. However, we cannot send him to Durick Veta, for it is the responsibility of our government to try him, and no other regime. We assure all that his trial will be fair and just, in total respect of our laws and regulations. Official Communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of Great New France |

Bear in mind, that if he is not tried in a timely manner, Kasnyia will call for his extridition from France into Pacifica for trial, as he went purposefully and directly against orders issued to him from the Emperor during a time when he was administrating a Kasnyian territory. We urge the French to take priority in trying a war criminal for his heinus crimes over things that can wait. |

Proust's crimes were committed entirely in Veta. By rights, we legally can try him. Durick Veta insists that his trial begin within thirty days or we will demand he is extradited to Veta. -President Jason Essex |

"If any tyrant would have caused Eleytherian Citizens an injustice and fled like a coward to another country, we would have demanded that he be extradited back to our country to receive his just punishment. Failure to do otherwise, would be an act of both cowardice and war to our people." -Random Eleytherian Judge |

As Veta was at the time a territory of the Empire, and as his actions were in direct disobeyance of the Emperor's decree, and as the current state of Durick Veta did not exist at the time, Kasnyia retains full right to try and imprison Proust. We give the french one month to try him themselves. Failure to do so by then will result in his extradition. |

OOC: And what if the French disagree with you? What if they refuse? Just a question, you know how intent GNF can be in pursuing his own policies. |

Before Proust's sentence could be carried out however, a letter was given to the French Judge: "The Kasnyian Empire is thrilled that justice has been done within France. Since his trial is now complete, Kasnyia will take him into her custody now. A KASOC unit will be sent to retrieve the prisoner. That is all. Bear in mind, any attempt to move him without Kasnyian consent will be met with force. |

OK, deal with him Kasnyia if you want, but for goodness sake, don't bring him up again, he seriously does my head in... IC: Our Government is ready to transfer the criminal Anton Proust to the Kasnyian prison in Sao Tome island where he shall face further judgement for his crimes against humanity during his administration of Durick Veta. We warn, however, our Kasnyian friends, that he has faced an extremely just and fair trial on our part, and we hope that he shall face the same in Kasnyia: In that respect, we want to voice our total opposition to the death penalty in any circumstance, and that if such a sentence would arise, we would vehemently oppose. We also hope that the prisoner will be treated fairly and in accordance with international procedures regarding such a convict. A special team of 10 lawyers from our Ministry of Justice shall accompany Mr. Proust and make sure that he's treated well. OOC- So you're the defense? Okie. And if I do mention him again after trial, it would be only in regards to the prison (and in OOC, I will control him) IC- The Kasnyian Government has not mentioned the death penalty, though will not close the possibility, seeing as Anton Proust has already been convicted beyond resonable doubt for war crimes against the armies of Kasnyia and Eleytheria and even your own nation, and crimes against humanity including genocide of the Vetan people. Bear in mind hat apart from these most heinous crimes, he also attempted to circumvent the authority of His Majesty, the Emperor within his own lands. He will face justice. While more than likely he will spend the rest of his days in prison, do not think we will suddenly forget the heinous crimes he committed and throw the death penalty off of the table. He is at the mercy of the judge in this regard. Anton Proust is to be tried by the Grand Courts Martial in Guranburg. Presiding will be the Honorable Supreme Arbiter Hugo Kessmann. While in Kasnyian custody, during the trial he will be presumed innocent as he has not yet been tried under Kasnyian law. Once the sentance has been given, he will be treated humanely until the sentence is carried out. |

Soon, a contingent of KASOC entered the courtroom and escorted Proust out to the helicopter waiting just outside. He would be flown to an airbase in Kasnyian Greenland, where he would be held until the prison airship arrived to take him to Guranburg, where the trial would be held. |

The Vetan Government has appointed lawyer Charles Hubert as the prosecutor of Proust. 90% of Vetans with lawsuits againsts Proust have also agreed for Charles to be their lawyer. -President Jason Essex I would put forth that Proust should also be accused of war crimes against Vetans and Esternarxians, as once the Emperor of Kasnyia granted Veta independence the Vetan and Esternarxian armies were legitimate armies and should be treated as such. -Charles Hubert |

The Kasnyian Government is willing to put forth that Vetans be included as victims of war crimes, but not Esternarxians, as their forces fall under the catagory of mercenary under Kasnyian law. Also bear in mind, that Mr. Hubert will be jointly working with the Kasnyian prosecutor office in this case as they will be representing the Emperor himself. |

Military Supreme Court, Guranburg, Kasnyia- The time had come. Anton Jean Proust had arrived at the Military Supreme Court, the seat of the Grand Courts Martial. It was a large building, built out of the ruins of what was once a Ribbenzofphist fortress. Inside was the cavernous courtroom itself, nearly five stories high in itself, marbled floors and a domed roof with a marvelous painting of Lady Justice looking down upon the convicted, made to look menacing to the guilty, yet soothing to the inncoent. To Proust, it was a hellish visage-like vision that would not leave his head. The main floor itself consisted of a large, well-crafted chair in the center of the room, where he would sit for the duration of the trial. To his left and right were raised platforms where the Proscutor and Defender would stand. The platforms were surrounded by railing save for a small stair, and a desk to keep their notes. Directly in front of him was the bench, made to seat five. They were empty at the moment, though it wouldn't remain that way for long. Behind him was the press box, divided from the court by the bar. For about two stories, there were wrap-around spectator seating as well. All were full. It would not be long now til the trial began. |

Charles Hubert sat in the place of Hubert, making final mental preperations. As Proust entered the room, he glared at him for a split second. His face softened quickly, however. He knew he needed to go about this proffessionally. He sighed. At least he'd be able to condemn this murderer. |
