OOC: Yeah the Federation is still selling Ethanol through it's colony in South America.

What is the potency of this ethanol, is it cost effective? How will it effect the miles a car can travel for every gallon of fuel as opposed to gas's performance in this area?

Consumer Infromation

Current standards are at about a 34% less energy per gallon than gasoline, and therefore will result in a 34% reduction in miles per gallon. However, this analysis applies only to currently designed flex-fuel engines. Ethanol has a much higher octane rating (octane rating of 105 for E85 versus 87 for regular unleaded gasoline). Because currently marketed flex-fuel vehicles must be capable of efficiently burning both gasoline and E85, their engines must be designed to tolerate lower octane rated petroleum-based fuels.

Typically this means that the engine must be designed to operate at a lower compression ratio. However, engines that are designed to run on E85 or higher ethanol alone can be designed to better exploit the higher octane rating of the fuel by incorporating higher compression ratios. This results in higher energy efficiencies, though those engines are no longer able to burn conventional gasoline. The higher energy efficiencies of these engines offsets the lower energy content of the alcohol, resulting in approximately the same number of miles per gallon of ethanol fuel as a similar engine designed to run on gasoline.

Currently Gasco is working with an automobile manufacturing company here in the Federation to market a newly developed engine which will be designed to run off of a completely Ethanol based fuel and thus make Ethanol completely comparable to currently establish fossil fuels.

In that case Germany will wait until such an automobile is being sold on the international market, at which point it will reevaluate its relationship with the ethanol fuel market. Still, it wishes for its interest to be noted and thanks Gasco for the comprehensive and timely service.

Gasco is more than willing to open an account with the Zeelar government for a steady supply of Ethanol fuel. Do understand that because it is a rare commodity we cannot negotiate with the set price of $195/barrel.

We question why the government, and not private companies, would open this account.

We are a bit confused at the question, Gasco is a private and not a government organization. Though we are government sanctioned, we are not and do not have any connection with the current administration of Russia.

We regret to inform you that Vice President Giogris is no longer. May he rest in peace. What I believe he meant was why would one open an account with the Zeelaran government and not a Zeelaran company?

We apologize for the miscommunication suffered between our two parties. When we were approached we thought the Zeelaran government was the one inquiring about our Ethanol production. We of course would like to do business with whatever company we need to, to get our production to the Zeelaran consumer. We have been contacted by our government and they expressed an interest in formalizing official diplomatic relations. Before a concrete deal can be brokered between Gasco and a Zeelaran company we feel we should first allow our government to speak of diplomacy.

OOC: I figured this was a good a time as any to formalize relations between our two nations. I started a thread Here (this is a link) on the subject if you'd like to get the ball rolling.
