CEN News Update "The Pope today announced that Catholic Europe has set up its first ever colony, something which had long split Catholic Europe, in a small section of what was formerly known as Brazil. The colony itself will be primarily for the clergy and the Pope has, specifically, stated that it will not become a military outpost in South America - once a bastion of the Church. It will still, like mainland Catholic Europe, be under the absolute jurisdiction and rule of the Holy Father." |

We are shocked and appalled by Catholic Europe's imperialistic maneuvering. The annexation of this colony demonstrates Catholic Europe's flagrant disregard for international law. However, it is far enough away as to pose no measurable threat so, as such ventures have been unsuccessful in the past, we will allow this new Catholic colony to fail on its own merit, or lack thereof. -Mohommed Abdel Minister of State Affairs The Islamic Paradise of Al Araam |

OOC: You will see when it's put on the map, but I'm only occupying a very, very small amount of land too! ;) You should all be happy with that. |

OOC: I think annexation is a good word, especially since it will be ruled directly, just like mainland CE and will not have any seperate colonial administration. I'm not in a position right now to offer a public statement. |

El Dejarbo welcomes the people of the Holy Father to South America. We are proud to be honored with such a great neighbor! A welcoming celebration shall be held in Catholic Europe's honor. - Antonio Santiago Presidente of El Dejarbo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Elsewhere in the Americas, farther north.... "I want you to find out if this new colony has anything to do with the Genesis Project," Thaddeus E. Goreprime demanded over the phone. "If it does, and you locate the installation related to its development, blow it up. The less Genesis plane facilities, the better...." OOC: Pay that second part no mind. The USA is just paranoid. |

OOC: Yes, bombing Catholic Europe, even though it's its colony, is not a wise move. |
