At the Quebec Senate Building, Senate and the President have ratified the constitution of Durick Veta.

We, the people of the Libertarian Alliance of Durick Veta, hereby ratify this document in the interest of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all. This constitution may not be edited without the consent of at least ninety-five percent of the people in Durick Veta.

Article I:

The government of Durick Veta shall not interfere with the actions of consenting adults (adults being those over the age of eighteen), unless these actions directly harm other, non-consenting adults, or children.

Article II:

The government of Durick Veta shall impose no taxation upon its people, nor impose non-welcomed and non-warranted restrictions or burdens on its citizens.

Article III:

The government of Durick Veta shall not violate the right to habeas corpus. All accused of a crime shall have a trial within sixty days, if possible.

Article IV:

Senate shall be formed of sixteen people elected by majority vote annually. Senate reserves will create laws and the President, also annually elected by majority vote, shall decide whether to sign these laws into effect. The laws shall not interfere with this constitution.

Article V:

The government of Durick Veta shall not execute any persons.

Article VI:

The Durick Vetan government shall never raise an army of more than ten thousand men, and shall never send them abroad without full consent of Senate. They may raise a larger army in times of invasion.

Article VII:

The government of Durick Veta shall not involve itself in any entangling foreign alliances and shall keep out of international politics if possible.

Our Government is pleased and welcomes the new drafting of the Constitution of Durick Veta. We congratulate again the Durick Vetan authorities in their hardwork and hope that this Constitution can be for Durick Veta a new beginning in rebuilding the institutions of that country as well as providing adequate grounds to protect peace, stability and democracy.
