To: Catherine Nerdinskaya From: Thaddeus E. Goreprime Oh ye of little faithe. While the Aurora is undeniably expensive to build, it will not remain that way forever. Eventually as the technology to assemble my "toys," as you put it, becomes more common place in the engineering market, the price to build them will eventually drop. It's only a matter of time. In any case, I must apologize for startling you. I simply needed to see how the FS-1s compared to the Aurora. It didn't do too badly, but there is plenty of room for improvement. No hostility was implied. Just a friendly game to test your abilities. Curious of our more common jets, you say? Analysis from the recent air race we just shared reveals that you seem to be on par with our primary line of fighters, although you do seem to have us on maneuverability and altitude whereas we have you on speed. If you're interested in setting up an airshow, you'll have to speak with my Foreign & External Affairs Department. |

To: Thaddeus E. Goreprime From: Catherine Nerdinskaya I too would like to apologize for being so hostile in my first message, needless to say we have been on edge of late around here and the arrival of super sonic fighters over our airspace that we cannot possibly combat is a very rude awakening as to the inadequacies of our defense networks. We have no desire to open hostilities with your country or your people and are deeply sorry that we have not started out on the best of grounds for any form of official diplomatic relations. We must thank you for not opening fire upon our Northern Eagles, perhaps this will serve as a lesson to me and the people of our Nation that we are not the only ones who look to the skies for military supremacy. It is clearly obvious that you take great interest in advanced avionics, hence the impressive Aurora Fighter, Eleytheria also takes interest in studying and producing high tech avionics, perhaps in the future our scientists could work side by side when we come to know each other better. As for an Air Show, perhaps in the future we will have the opportunity to display to the world what our two Nations has to offer in their arsenals and perhaps it will give our pilots a chance to relax and enjoy a little friendly competition. For now however, we wish you and your country the best of luck on its bold endeavors. Sincerely, Catherine Nerdinskaya. |

Message to all JAUST Members: From the Eleytherian Air Force I give you word on the FS-1's latest changes, The current FS-1 Modifications are completed, we are shipping all JAUST Members a copy of these plans, there are changes within the engine fans as there was a fatal flaw in the alloy's used, this has been corrected for now but we still do not recommend exceeding 2064 miles per hour. Specific points of interest will be mentioned to the Nation they may interest most: To the Assassin Nation: As you are JAUST's largest Naval User and encompass many Islands, our engineers tell us that these Aircraft can be modified to be used on the deck of aircraft carriers. Folding wings, hook, and catapult compatibility's will need to first be developed, however. To the Kasnyian Empire: As these aircraft are quite small and lightweight for the tremendous power in their engines and the payloads they can carry, it is very possible that you could perhaps install a catapult launch on your largest airships to be compatible with two or four of these aircraft, however we fail to see how the aircraft could land back upon the airship itself. To the French Empire: These fighters can carry a very heavy payload thanks to the powerful engines on them, we believe they may be able to carry two low yield atomic bombs to deliver in the field, the aircraft's speed and altitude capabilities should be more than enough to ensure the aircraft escapes the blast zone, the fighters should be a very useful tool to use in tandem with your Nuclear arsenal. To the Native American Nations: These aircraft can achieve incredible speeds very quickly and can gain considerable lift at relatively low air speeds, this allows them to take off on much shorter runways than most other aircraft, this should be very useful as your Nation is nearly landlocked and needs not to fear Naval intervention very often. To the Bessentian Republic: As you are a small coastal Nation, these fighters could prove handy in delivering long range missiles to sink enemy naval vessels, the weapon racks and pylons are easily modified to accept just about any Nations standardized weapons, use wisely. |

Catapult systems have had good development within Kasnyia. Aircraft can detach and then reattach no problem. |

OOC: Sorry for the double post. IC: Spring was coming in Eleytheria and the snow around Kugaaruk was beginning to slowly melt, behind the isolated walls of the City, flowers and shrubbery freely grew in the grassy patches and planters, life was beginning to look as if it was returning to normal. But things were not going quite as planned back at Sol Air Force Base ... The Socialists who have become desperate to win the war had infested the Federal Military Network in an attempt to overthrow the government in one last push. Two hijackers managed to steal a pair of MiG-29 fighters and were heading straight towards Kugaaruk City, the Capitol of the Republic and sitting place of the Presidency, armed with four air to surface missiles, two air to air missiles and two 1000 lb bombs each. General Yanon witnessed the two rouge MiG-29's taking off from the airstrip and scrambled two FS-1 Fighters after them, but the MiG's had a 20 minute lead on them, the Northern Eagles were undergoing maintenance when all of this happened. *Fifteen minutes later* People were walking along the sidewalks, and cars were driving freely when a single Fulcrum flew over the walls of the city at sonic speeds, following behind it were two FS-1 Fighters that were scrambled after them, they were just now catching up. Suddenly a missile was let loose by the Fulcrum, it screamed passed the Veloryan embassies front doors, the Veloryan guards' jaws looked as if they were ready to fall off of their hinges when they seen how close the missile had came to striking their Embassy and killing them. The missile slammed into the road, sending nearby cars on their sides, lifting some up and tossing them to the side of the road, the MiG roared passed the carnage and had a new target dead ahead: Republic Headquarters... Catherine was at her desk talking with the Eleytherian JAUST Representative when both of them heard the sound of supersonic jets coming their way, they looked out their window and to their horror they seen a Fulcrum in firing position with the very structure they were in being chased by two Northern Eagles; "Oh my God..." Catherine said in shock. Without warning the Fulcrum unleashed all three of its missiles at the structure, the FS-1 Pilots almost lost their breathe when they seen this "Lord Jesus! He is really going to do it!" David grabbed Catherine and slammed her to the floor shouting "GET DOWN!" as the three missiles ripped into the walls of the Capitol Building, exploding in different area's flames rocketed out of the windows of the lower floors. With a great continuous roar the Fulcrum opened up with its gattling cannons and swathed a path of holes across the upper floors, some zipping over David and Catherine's heads, concrete and wood falling on them from the debris being thrown around by the walls crumbling around them. Then suddenly two black objects departed from the bottom of the MiG and flew over the roof of Republic Headquarters, bricks and even entire walls flew through the air as the explosion leveled the small guard barracks behind the main structure. After doing catastrophic damage to the Capitol Building, the Fulcrum pulled away from the City and turned to engage the Eagles, but the FS-1 was far too maneuverable -- no longer over the City using innocent humans as shields, the Fulcrum was virtually defenseless. The two FS-1's unleashed a hailstorm of lead and ripped the Fulcrum asunder from the Pilot, the wings tore off, the fuselage broke in two, and the entire aircraft burst into flames before slamming into the ground, debris shooting into the sky as the fuel tanks exploded. Back at Republic Headquarters, David and Catherine stood up and ran out of the capitol building that was now burning ferociously from the fires set by the missiles and high explosive bombs, the State Officials were okay, but there was a problem... The other Fulcrum escaped ... But where did it go...? One of the most brazen assaults in the history of the Civil war has just been carried out, but the FS-1 was there to ensure things did not become any worse than they might have been... |

The frightened embassy staff put in a call to the Director of Embassies in Velorya. The Socialists had come incredibly close to killing Veloryan citizens. But why? With only so much ammunition, let alone time, why had the Socialist MiG attacked the Veloryan embassy? The Director immediately suspected that it had something to do with the "Cold War" that was brewing between the League and JAUST. Were the Socialists trying to precipitate a war between Velorya and Eleytheria? Or was something more sinister going on? He immediately made arrangements for operatives to be sent to the Embassy. When the time came, Velorya would have the means of gathering the information it wanted... |

OOC: Nor, you've been drinking too much of that "Herbal" Tea, if you know what I am saying. ;) IC: Rescue teams arrived on hand at the Veloryan Embassy, the Missile Impact site, and Republic Headquarters, while fire fighters desperately struggled to put out the intense blaze of inferno. Catherine had seen that the Veloryan Embassy was almost blown to the ground, she walked up to one of the guards and asked 'Is everyone alright?' as David Vandergrist stood by her side. |

A Legionnaire captain walked up to accost Catherine. "The embassy compound was unhit, Madame President. The only damage was done to the fence by a car that was thrown against it. No one is hurt. The Veloryan government expresses its gratitude for your concern. Still, we are somewhat worried about a repeat incident. Now, we know that the Eleytherian government is doing everything in its power to ensure the safety of this embassy, so we will just call this a fluke. But we trust that this won't happen again." |

Top Secret Transmission To: Catherine Nerdinskaya, Eleytheria-Duo President From: Laurent Frimat, Defense Minister of the Empire of Great New France Our Government wishes to purchase at least a dozen of FS-1 fighters to enhance our air capabilities. We would be more than happy to purchase them for the sum of $30 billion, if that is correct for you. We will gladly affirm that those fighters will be served for the defense of our air space and that of JAUST as well. It will greatly increase our strategic arms' capabilities also. Yours Sincerely, Laurent Frimat, Defense Minister of the Empire of Great New France |

OOC: Or even Columbia  IC: Catherine felt as if this "Captain" was questioning the abilities of her men, she thought perhaps THEY should try to prevent socialist intervention with the meager resources available. Nevertheless she kept cool headed and replied; "We still do not even know how this happened, likely a sleeper cell at the air base. It would make sense now that the war is drawing to an end, they grew desperate and they took the chance that was in front of them -- I can assure you this will not happen again." David quickly glanced over at Catherine and began to think "where did the other MiG-29 go? Did they perhaps know the Eleytherians would reply, only to attempt to destroy the embassy a second time? Or was something else going on..." Catherine's cell phone began to ring; "Yes, this is Catherine". On the other end of the line was General Yanon; "Catherine, we have disturbing news, the SEDDN Network detected the MiG-29 flying southeast towards our borders -- straight for Great New France" Catherine's face went pale; she looked back at the Veloryan Captain and asked him if she could use their communications lines. |
