It has been an interesting year in Antebellum South politics, with the scandalous collapse of the Nathanael Moore Administration several months ago. THe people of Antebellum South hope that this Election will wipe the slate clean and restore the trust and integrity of the government. Acting President Methuselah Gibbs (Whig) has chosen not to run for election, citing health problems, leaving only the Democrats and Republicans with an opportunity of gaining the presidency. The issues are simple in this Presidential Election, widely seen as a referendum on the Texarado War. The war is an issue that looms over the nation, and nearly everyone has an opinion about it. Southern forces are running into difficulties in Texas and Fort Lee in Colorado, and these elections could potentially change Antebellum South's war policies. The Democratic Party's candidate is Edward Mackay, who promises to continue the war in Texarado until all the Catholics are defeated and destroyed, and until Texas is completely liberated from foreign influences. The Republican Party's candidate is William Hildebrand, who promises to withdraw immediately from Texarado and end the war effort. Campaign posters from both campaigns: Posted Image Posted Image |

They are pretty cool, wonder what tool he used? I can see myself doing that with just MSPaint if I could find the tile grain background and the portraits, but maybe he knows something we don't. |

Yeah I used MSPaint, basically just found the appropriate background and added text. I don't know how to use anything more advanced than MSPaint right now, but I'm planning to learn Photoshop and Corel Painter over winter break :) |

He's un-Republican, he be a Democrat kinda guy, though I think he's more mild republican if you look at most of his ideology, it's slightly "Conservative"... |

It's already been said, but seriously those are awesome posters TC. This also reminds me that I need my own election. However, I think I'll wait till after this Texarado business. |

To follow up my previous statements, a vote for Hildebrand / Childers (Republican) is a vote for Osama. |

I need to hold my own election after the Eleytherian Civil War, after the SMGR (Socialist) Party was banned for starting a Civil War it caused political shockwaves, the CRP (Republican) Party whom is in power has also lost a lot of ground to the NDP (Democratic) Party due to its poor handling in the outbreak of the war, which almost resulted in the downfall of Kugaaruk City, you'll see how important a role this plays during my January RP. |

A vote for Mackay is a vote for Satan himself. He was thinking of running for VP, but Schellenbarger looks better in big lettering. ;) |

Republican William Hildebrand has won the election capturing 61.54% of the votes, marking the first time ever that a Republican has been elected president of the Solid South. It seems the Texarado War is winding down anyways, but Hildebrand's election is a clear sign that the people of Antebellum South are tired of war. The dissapointed Democratic Vice Presidential hopeful Thomas Schnellenbarger said that the anti-war Republicans were "cowards" and "sissies" who "abandoned our own brothers, our own blood." |
