His Majesty Emperor Jean-François de la Tablière has taken his private plane in a state visit of 5 days in the Brazilean Confederacy. The aim of this first state visit will be to strengthen Franco-Brazilean ties in every way possible and foster stronger economic relations as well, by promoting investment in one another's nation. The flight took about 5 hours when his Majesty landed finally at the International Airport of Salvador, the capital city of the Brazilean Confederacy. A whole group of officials, journalists awaited impatiently this first visit next to his Majesty's plane as the gate of the plane opened and he finally stepped down. As he for the first time stepped on Brazilean soil, Brazilean President Fernando Da Tomas Scott moved forward and shook the Emperor's hand with a lot of force but graciously as well. They exchanged a few words together that could not be understood on TV or radio but one journalist later said that his Majesty had uttered the following words: "Mr. President, it's an amazing happiness for me to be in this great land of Brazil. I've always had the idea of coming to this beautiful nation and meeting its nice and hard-working people. As always, you are more than welcome to Great New France to further foster our bilateral relationship in everyway possible". The response of President Fernando Da Tomas Scott, again according to the same journalist was very diplomatic, adding that he would reciprocate and visit Great New France when his busy agenda would allow him to do so. After this small dialogue between the two men, President Scott introduced to the Emperor most of his personal staff and Cabinet members who were present at the airport. His Majesty did not forget to shake hands of every single person at the ready there, which took him at least 30 minutes, a reporter for the BBC would add later. Later, President Scott, with a huge but sincere smile, showed to the Emperor his private car that would lead him to his hotel, in downtown Salvador. According to a journalist from TGNF1, his Majesty would stay in the Ritz Carlton hotel just next to the Brazilean Parliament. As his private car rolled rapidly through the big and lengthy avenues of Salvador, the Emperor could not prevent himself from pointing out at the beautiful trees of various colours which were located at the edges of the avenues. As his car passed through Avenida de la Libertad, a main central artery of Salvador, he would then go to his hotel and await instructions for his official programme in the Brazilean Confederacy. His new personal aide-de-camp, Philippe Rivière told him that his first encounter with Brazilean officials would be at the Presidential Palace with President Scott and his top advisers. They will then give a press conference to the journalists that were present. His Majesty waited eagerly as he stared at his watch... |

OOC: France, this is one of the worst possible moves you could make in the eyes of the Pope. The Brazilians are extremely racist, going so far as using the n word to describe african natives. Racism is one of the worst sins in the Catholic book-the Pope himself is half black. |

As Emperor Jean-François de la Tablière stepped forward to the room where the press conference was going to be held, he suddenly sensed some shivers behind his back, but not in a negative way but in kind of pleasurable one. He was at all extremely happy of all the agreements which had been reached with the Brazilean Confederacy, albeit some of their religious and ethinicist views did not always match up with our own. His Majesty was at most happy at Brazil's support for Great New France's insistance in fighting the terrible threat to world peace and stability that is Islamofascism. The press conference has just started... Emperor Jean-François de la Tablière: Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished members of the press, welcome to this press conference, I salute all of you warmly. I am extremely happy of being in this beautiful city and this beautiful country of Brazil. I have been awed by the hospitaly of the Brazilean people and I would like to thank all of them for their warm welcome to my delegation. I think Franco-Brazilean relations at are an excellent status right now. We have common views in many important dossiers and it has come to our attention that we share similar worries in certain underlining problems that exist in our world. We have understood from our Brazilean friends a common desire to work in parallel to find solutions to problems that matter to both parties. We have both also re-asserted our common belief in increasing our investment in one another's nation. I have, in the name of Great New France, pledged that more of our private companies will come to invest in this beautiful land of Brazil and I have heard the same pledge from our Brazilean friends which is quite encouraging for us indeed. We have also reached an agreement in our analysis of the current Middle Eastern issues: we both agree that the Islamofascist ideology is a threat to the civilized world in general, and should be stamped on for the future of our children, and indeed our children's children as well. Whilst we had different approaches pertaining to this issue, as we oppose any kind of racism, we have understood that it is of the utmost importance to reach out to those in despair in the Middle East, especially our Christian brothers and sisters who are being mercilessly persecuted in those infamous lands. We would like to hereby reaffirm our desire to support them in any way possible, we are at their disposal as we have always been. Thanks again for being here, and I will know answer to some of your questions, but for goodness sake, please be brief as I still have important meetings to have with my Brazilean friends. John Davenport, BBC NEWS 24: Your Majesty, is Great New France going to be more involved in the Middle East in the coming days? What conclusions did you draw from the Socotra crisis with those states? Emperor Jean-François de la Tablière: Well, I would like to first answer your first question indeed. I believe that our great nation will continue to be involved in that crucial and strategic region. We have strategic interests in that region, and we cannot ignore them. We reaffirm our support to the United State of Israel in its dearest attempts to find a plausible peace with its neighbours. We also support it in its fight against the Islamofascist elements among the Palestinian people. Whilst we have no qualms with the Palestinians, we are increasingly worried of the danger of contamination that represents Islamofascism. We implore all sound and rational leaders of the Middle East, among Al Araam who we want to reach out tonight, to fight decisively those radical elements that poisoning any attempts at reaching to a lasting peace to that conflict. We hope that peace and stability will ultimately triumph. We also hope that our Genesian Catholic brothers and sisters will be free to worship in all those states and we will continue to monitor closely their situation in all of that region. Gregory Peck, CNN: Your Majesty, how come are you holding such a visit to a state that is known for its racist comments? Doesn't it pose some problems to the relationship between Great New France and its allies within the Holy League? Emperor Jean-François de la Tablière: Now Gregory, you should be careful, my friend. We have never condoned any racist comment and we continue to condemn them in their entirety. They are not in line with our Genesian Catholic rhetoric and we have made it known to our Brazilean friends. We would like to hereby say that we sincerely hope to increase our bilateral relations in all ways possible with our Brazilean friends in all areas, and we have seen the same willingness from them, and we are grateful to that. I would furthermore like to stress our common view in many crucial issues, and we both hope to put our own input in the Middle Eastern peace process. Denis Laroque, GNF TV2: Your Majesty, but in the light of the Brazilean involvement with the Confederates, doesn't that clash with our interests in being close to our Holy League allies? Emperor Jean-François de la Tablière: Whilst I was talking with Brazilean officials, I have made it known to them that we believe it is in Brazil's best interest not to continue being there: we hope that that conflict will be rapidly resolved, to the benefit of all parties involved. We would also hereby like to reaffirm our continuing and strong line in respect of the noble principles of the Holy League, for which we will continue to stand for. The Holy League is for us the mother of all alliances, and in no way we will allow ourselves to see a deterioration of our relations with our major allies inside that crucial alliance. That is indeed why my next state visit as you all know will be to our strong ally Velorya: I hope to strengthen Great New French-Veloryan relations there as well as discussing major issues and challenges that we are both facing. I thank you all for being here, that will be it, good bye to all of you. |

OOC: My thoughts exactly, I will actually be very surprised if France isn't disciplined for this since the Brazilians are fighting with us, the confederates. However, this may actually work in our favor if the Brazilians were able to again French support and keep them neutral (which they are now right?) |
