Sensational news for everyone, we are extremely proud of this amazing achievement for our nation and humanity as a whole! Our first man on space, Astronaut Jean-Loup de la Marinière has been onboard of our rocket Ariane 4 and has sucessfully entered our Shuttle Atlas-1 where he will stay for 48 hours. He intends to do scientific research, examination of the moon and analysing samples of plants and mice that were sent with him, and look at their behaviour in space. We hope that this research will benefit not only all of us in Great New France and our people, but all of humanity as a whole. May God continue to bless our space hero Jean-Loup de la Marinière, Amen!

Nicolas du Cresson de la Chardière, Prime Minister of the Empire of Great New France

The news that another nation had put another man into space didn't even register as a blip on the Nagian news.

OOC: It's ok, it's the Earth Pope who doesn't like nukes. The Space Pope is a whole different person. Honest.

We give them acess to any communications and/or logistical equiptment they desire or would so need as to help their research and explore the benefits of cooperating with a power who has sent a man into space.

The Republic of Eleytheria-Duo congratulates it's Neighbor and JAUST Ally, the Empire of Great New France, in its successful space launch and its independent ability to put a man in space.

Valley Land News, the major media network in Eleytheria-Duo would like to journey to Great New France to document this historic event, this would be a fine time to prove that our ties are still strong and that both the Greater Culture Act of Free Nations Treaty and the JAUST Treaty are upheld by us all.

Good luck on your space endeavors, you have support from your Ally & Neighbor, Eleytheria-Duo.

Map Tsar and Southern Gentleman

The Seceded South is pleased to see that the French were able to accomplish this venture for which they sought to conquer. However, the Seceded South remains confident that space is a complete waste of mankind's resources and hopes that nation will see likewise and give up this futile attempt to find life where there is none.
