OOC: I agree with E and Araam, space em out a lil to make it more eye friendly, people can easily skip a line when its all 1 big conglomerate mess, as for posting it looks like I'll have to restart the storyline. IC: As the 1,000 Eleytherian Troops disembarked from the Airship to meet up with the Kasnyian Garrison, Commander Patrick Edarmi began mumbling to himself "This isn't our battle, we've got a Civil War going on and I'm down here helping Vetans kill French Rouges ... But, I guess the Government knows something I don't" A Kasnyian Soldier ran up to the Eleytherian Commander and asked "Are you Commander Edarmi?"; "Yes, I am he. We are here to meet up with the Kasnyian Garrison and await further orders from the Kasnyian authorities" replied Edarmi, the young Kasnyian soldier quickly responded saying "Than you've come to the right place, Sir! Follow me, we'll put you in contact of someone in authority." Deeper into Proust Occupied Veta, the 2,000 Eleytherian Fighters landed with little resistance, an ominous and frightening silence covered the City distance, papers blew around the streets and there was not a soul in sight, they would hold the perimeter until orders came through telling them which direction to go and what their objectives we're, but all of them knew that this would be a battle unlike anything they've been through back in the Eleytherian Republic. |

OOC: No one is saying he's a bad writer, no one is even saying that he isnt a talented person, all we're saying is he should organize his posts a little bit, that's not so bad is it? Edit- Personally I think he's a damn good writer, just doesent space enough. |

OOC- Q, you wanted Proust, you got him, so POST. Unless you want me to be Proust. IC- Field Marshal Danz was calmly writing a report when Edarmi came in. He smiled. Field Marshal Danz- Ahh, Commander, good for you to make it. Commander Edarmi- Thank you, Field Marshal. What do you request of us? Danz looked back down at the report, reading off the details. Field Marshal Danz- This Proust fellow is making things difficult. The Emperor relinquished his authority, trying to give the Vetans their deserved freedom. Now he tries to take over this place. Commander Edarmi- And you want me to.... Field Marshal Danz- You will of course command all of your nations forces in this conflict. The men you brought with you to this city will help defend it and will help the Vetans organize a militia. The Garrison I control here will launch attacks against Proust's forces. Commander Edarmi- I see. And what of my men in Proust's territory? So far they report no combatants. Field Marshal Danz- They are to seize and hold James Bay, and then secure a route between there and here. That way we can divided Proust's forces in half. Commander Edarmi- I see. Field Marshal Danz- Also, while you will have the support of the Kasnyia airforce, you will have to send in your own ships to take the bay if you need it since the Kasnyian Navy is currently inbound to Texarado. |

IC: Commander Edarmi: Actually Eleytheria-Duo has no official Navy, too costly it would seem -- Besides our Government has been taking interest in working on advanced avionics lately, I heard something about a new military Aircraft under design. Field Marshal Danz: Really? That seems interesting, but as I said you wont be able to seize the bay successfully without any naval support. Commander Edarmi: The best we have for a navy is civilian fishing trawlers outfitted with machine-guns, but I'll call Kugaaruk Command and tell them to divert a few for special force purposes. Field Marshal Danz: Very well, though I would advise caution around that bay unless you want it to rain mackerel -- and men. Commander Edarmi: By the time we get done with the Rebellious bastards, it will be raining mackerel and men, you can count on that... ------------------------------------------------------------ Six miles away from their objective the Eleytherian Forces in the combat zone receive a transmission from Edarmi; "Listen up, your orders have come through, you are to strike and secure James Bay, Proust's forces are known to be in the area so proceed with caution, we need you to drive a wedge between James Bay and the Kasnyian Garrison, this will have you surrounded on both sides by Proust's forces so stay sharp, if you let your guard down we'll be needing 2,000 body bags by tomorrow." the Captain replied "Yes sir! We won't let you, the Vetans or the Kasnyians down, Sir!" The 2,000 Eleytherian Forces dispersed into smaller squads and began quickly but stealthily storming along the corners of the roads on both sides, twenty minutes after leaving their position gunfire broke out. "Drop that Son of a Bitch!" shouted one of the Eleytherian Regional Guard referring to a French Rouge firing his FAMAS out of a store window, one of the Frontier Guard aimed his semiautomatic top loader and fired twice, dropping the French Revolutionary; "Nice Shot!" Shouted one of the Regional Guard who was reloading his AK-107. Suddenly two armored jeeps came speeding down the road and began firing a .50 Caliber machine-gun at the Eleytherians, a couple of the Regional Guard positioned their GP-30's in alignment with the French Jeeps and fired, the two grenades pierced the jeeps glass and exploded, sending the doors and top hatch flying across the road. As the Eleytherian Forces looked around, they realized there we're injured comrades on the ground, as they scrambled to help the sound of more Armored Jeeps was heard coming down the road, one of the Regional Guard spotted six vehicles rushing down the street and shouted "F**K! Incoming, take cover!". Several Territorial Guard took cover behind a brick wall, hidden from view of the jeeps they readied their RPG-29's, they quickly jumped out and fired at each of the jeeps, the rockets we're so powerful they exploded only after going through one side of the jeep and began exiting the other, a few of the jeeps we're reduced to nothing but a charred frame and twisted metal. As the Eleytherians pushed harder into the growing resistance it became clear that Proust had more supporters than anyone could have thought or if they did know anything about it they sure didn't tell the Eleytherians, even if Proust was insane he was obviously respected by his own men. Finally they came within only a mile of their objective after taking a beating from all sides and suffering hundreds of wounded and setting up a string of casualty collection points along their route, but there was now a problem, a large force of Proust's men we're dead ahead well outnumbering the Eleytherian Soldiers, their commanding officer radioed Commander Edarmi and asked for advice; "Sir! We are only one mile away from our objective but the bastards have blocked our route with a huge number of men" Edarmi: "How many, Son?" Eleytherian Lieutenant: "I can't say but possibly thousands, and they are only a hundred meters away if that Sir, we're exchanging mild fire but nothing major erupted yet." Edarmi: "Roger that Son, I'll request the Kasnyians to give you an Air Strike on those coordinates" Eleytherian Lieutenant: "Roger that, Sir." Commander Edarmi contacted Kasnyian command saying: "This is Edarmi of the Eleytherian Command in Veta, my forces are pinned down one mile from their Objective at James Bay but the French Rebels have a significant force blocking them, we need the most precise low powered antipersonnel bombs you have dropped around 150 meters ahead of our boys, we can commence an advance from there what is your reply, out." |

Proust had seen the airdrop coming on radar and had not wanted to have his men fight when he had paratroopers dropping to their right and left. And so he had retreated them into the various strongholds in the area, including the large French base on the coast of the James Bay, which would, if he had his way, would become the prime supplier of material to the new province. And then those pesky Eleytherians showed up. If they didn't check themselves soon, they would pay for their mistake.... They had struck a troop convoy on their way to secure the St. Lawrence River when the buffoons had attacked. Immediately he alerted the bulk of his command to start a major offensive against the Eleytherians, who had no viable air cover of their own. He pounded the table. Proust- This land belongs to France! -------------------------------- The Kasnyian High Command on the other hand had sent in the same ariships used to transport the eleytherians and refitted them with Fuel-Air Bombs to remove the French thrust against the Eleytherian forces. As the airships approached, they saw the familiar puffs of smoke of the anti-air flak being used against them, along with the usual RPGs and Stinger missiles, all easily taken care of by their remote guided auto-cannons. And then they raidioed the Eleytherian forces. Kasnyian airship Captain- Look out below. The airship doors opened, releasing their deadly cargo. |

When the Eleytherian Soldiers in the Combat Zone received the radio transmission from the Kasnyian Airships one of the Regional Guard shouted "Everybody down! Air Burst Weapons inbound!" The Kasnyian bombs visible overhead quickly fell onto the French troops and burst with a loud rumble, a split second later flames burst in all directions as the intense heat and concussion rendered the French Defenses useless. Another bomb burst to the left and then to the right of the Eleytherian Forces, flames and debris flew over the heads of the prone soldiers, most of the Frontier Guard had never seen such fierce fighting, and being the low end troops of the Eleytherian Republic they were issued with woefully inadequate rifles for an urban environment, nevertheless, morale was very high. Finally after the Fuel-Air Bombs stopped falling, everything was silent save the small pieces of debris not yet settled, the Eleytherians would push on, James bay would either fall to the Eleytherians or they would die trying, they preferred the first option. As the Regional Guard encouraged the Territorial and Frontier Guard to stand and proceed, they drew closer and closer to their intended goal, skimishes plagued both the French Rebels and the Eleytherians who were both desperately trying to reach the Bay, albeit the two sides had different reasons for wanting to reach their destination. Before too long the sound of water could be heard in the distance, the Eleytherian Forces morale was only strengthened by this sound, but before they had a chance to relish their current achievements, another French combat team closed in launching a last ditch attempt to save the Bay. One of the Regional Guard shouted "Damn! They don't give up! Kill them until they stop coming, quickly lads, take cover and shoot them in the ass!" and battle broke out once more, this time the French were in no position to stop the Eleytherians though and they fell back to the bay, the Republic's Forces finally had the bay in sight, but a major number of French Reinforcements beat them to it, they dug in as fast as possible, an assault was now imminent... Eleytherian Lieutenant: "All right boys this is it, our objective is right around this damn concrete wall, fight hard and without fear, move fast and take cover behind anything that stops bullets, if we can get in the French defenses we've got them, FOR THE REPUBLIC!" Suddenly all of the soldiers began shouting "For the Republic" and the troops stormed around the corners at the French, from all sides the Rebels were under siege, the Eleytherians already bitter against rebels from their own country would not let the Vetans suffer the same injustice from these scoundrels. They rushed behind the nearest cover they could find and began firing unto the defenders, brave men were dying in the name of freedom, finally the French fire began to let up and it was noticed they were fleeing their positions only to find that their enemies took notice and began charging their defenses, the Eleytherian Lieutenant jumped up onto the wall and fired a grenade into the ammo stock before the French could rearm themselves, suddenly a massive explosion sent concrete and fire raining down all over the area and the Cache was destroyed, a French soldier turned and shot the lieutenant several times and he fell behind the sandbags. The other Eleytherian Soldiers were enraged at the loss of their commanding officer and jumped over the defenses and began engaging in melee engagements with the French Rebels, the battle was now raging with their enemies only three feet away, some filling each other with lead while others preferred to fight with their knives. Finally all combat ceased, the French Rebels either got away or were captured, one of the Regional Guard ran to the side of their fallen Lieutenant and began medical treatment, but to no avail... The Lieutenant looked at the soldier and said "We've done it, for the people of Veta and for freedom of people we don't even know we've killed the bastards -- *Cough* -- I am proud of you, all of you -- *Choke* -- We've come far, and with better leadership you can go farther than I could ever take you..." the Regional Guard stared into the eye of his dying officer and said "No one on this Earth could have lead us as far as you have sir, we respect you for your skill, leadership, bravery and honor, none of us could ever forget what you have done for us, and for all the world" with that said, the Lieutenant smiled and laid a heavy sigh and died. The French Flag was lowered and the Eleytherian Flag was raised, the bay was reclaimed, but the French will undoubtedly launch a counter attack soon enough, and with the Eleytherians now severely low on Ammo, the men were exhausted, and Casualties were high, and a counter attack from the French Rebels was very likely... |

The French retreated into Veta unaware that the Freedom Fighters were right in front of them. When they arrived, it was a slaughter. Vetans fired their AK-67s automatically at the French as they approached. The French never had a chance to respond. They were cut down instantly. Every Frenchmen was dead within five minutes. But it wasn't over. Proust had kept some tanks in west Veta for situations such as this. The standing orders were for them to be deployed if the situations looked dire. They rolled out of military bases. AA guns fired into the air to stop any Eleytherian planes from bombing the tanks. THe tanks loaded their ammunition and made their way towards the Freedom Fighters. The Freedom Fighters were within range. The first shot fired. An ball of explosive energy fell in the center of the Fighters camp. Within a second, the center of the camp was nothing but fire. The rest of the Freedom Fighters scattered. OOC: Blood Queen time! |

OOC: You want to make up your own guns? This is fine. Just don't make up guns which are identical to RL guns and change the name insignificantly. It's misleading. If you're using AKs then use real AKs or don't use the letters "AK". |

OOC: Ughh... Look, I was thinking of a gun for Karna Veta to sell to gangsters that would make maximum profit. At first I thought of an extremely technologically advanced gun, than thought of an automatic shotgun, than realized what people as evil and clever as Karna Veta would sell: a gun that's the same as an existing gun with a different name and nips and bobs that'll make people think it's new and more advanced. |
