As someone who remembers 9/11 all too well, I would like to express sympathy and support to our British brothers and sisters on this, the one year aniversary of the horrible attacks on the London transportation system. May this never happen again. |

I didn't even realise until I got on the tube today and noticed all the Metro's (a newspaper) with 'REMEMBER' splashed on the front. Also, 7-11? |

Yeah, I got the date wrong, and I can't edit it, or I would. That's my dr.'s appointment. |

I work at one of the hospitals that went into emergency mode because of 7/7. We didn't remember the 2 minute silence. Loss of life is always bad, and I really feel for the families of the victims, but really 7/7 wasn't that big of a deal. 7/7 made for good Metro reading. And it gave the Daily Mail an anti-terrorism piece that didn't advocate giving into government fear mongering. It was a terrible, terrible, event for those who were personally invovled. But as a nation, I really don't think 7/7 hit us that hard. |

And let us hope and pray that terrorism never does. |

It won't. There's nothing I can say that won't look like I'm trying to cheapen the victims of 7/7. I'm an athiest - to me there is nothing, nothing, greater or more special than a human life. When someone's life is taken against their will, it is one of the most terrible things that can happen. BUT Britian is in no danger of terrorism. And I personally believe that if the majority of British citizens didn't think this on 6/7, then 7/7 would never have been allowed to happen. I'm not saying 7/7 (or 9/11) were conspiricies by a government to attack their own people in order to force through anti-terrorism laws. I am saying that more could be done to stop these attacks, and that I think that this wasn't done because it was convient to the government's agenda. |
