OK, so probably since I was a freshman in high school I have always put my wallet in (usually) my left pocket. I don't exactly know why I prefer to put it in my left pocket instead of my back pocket but I do. My brother (older than me, I am the youngest of three) always picks on me about it, and though I know it's all in good fun (my siblings and I are always constantly picking on one another) I can't help but wonder why I do it, and if I am only one of few who do it. So for those of you who actually carry a wallet, please indulge me and tell me where you put it. |

Front right, usually. Never in the back though. That's just uncomfortable. |

Always in the right back. Its probably a completely irrational reaction to getting made fun of for putting it in my front pocket when I was younger but it stuck. Now I put it in my back right pocket. My phone in my front right. And my knife and keys in my front left. :gnarkgnark: |

See I hate sitting on the darn thing too. Mine goes in my left because I put my keys and knife in my right. An E yeah I can see why but it's really not all that strange and if you think about it, it seems more logical because it would be harder to steal from the front than the back pocket. We at least I think so, but I usually have my hands in my pockets so who knows  |

As long as I can remember, my right rear pocket. Keys in my front right, knife in my front left, colored hankie in my rear left (color depends on my mood, CE, so no smart mouth). I am left handed, so I have no idea if that makes any difference. There have only been a few occasions when my wallet was not in my rear pocket. For some reason, every time I have been in Europe it goes into my front right pocket, or a money pouch - irrational fear of pickpockets I suppose (I envision gypsy professionals with much greater skills than the thieves of America). Also, on crowded New York subways it moves to my front pocket as well. That, to me, is just common sense!!! |

Left breast pocket if I'm wearing my jacket. Front right if I'm wearing shorts or jeans or something. Generally with my hand there too. |

I keep mine in my left side pocket. Back pockets are uncomfortable, and its awkward to keep taking your wallet out of them. |

Sounds like it to me. All geeks and nerds carry at least a swiss army knife, so maybe that's what you are missing. Ask for one for Christmas and join the fun!! |

That's because you go to school in Illinois, Lake County in particular, where they would turn you over to the police if you were caught with any sort of blade on you, and you'd be sharing a cell with Esternarx, the Firefox of Southeast Texas!! I heard of one incident where a 1st grader came to school on Holloween dressed as a fireman, and he had a little plastic axe as part of the costume, and they kicked him out of school! Once you get to Galesburg, start chewing tobacco, working on a still in the woods, and taking physics classes, you will find a good Swiss Army Knife indespensible. |

Meh, that's mainly because our school system is retarded, in every sense of the word (I heard about a kindgartenner that was expelled because he picked up a L shaped piece of paper and pretended it was a gun for cops and robbers). |

When I say "our", I mean "our" as a nation. Now, as everyone is not American, that means "America." Our school system sucks in quite a few ways. No child left behind, no tolerance laws, etc. |

Yeah, no child left behind, because if you do, they might have a bit of fun!! But that's OK. The board of educations here are doing a real good job of training a whole bunch of sheep that will just follow authority blindly! We'll be a monarchy in a generation or two. |

I'll see if I can obtain a stiletto then, and prance around with it like the lot of you. Although I don't see how I wouldn't get arrested. |

 Well, I certainly don't know about prancing  :P But it isn't uncommon here to carry around a knife. It was always funny to some how if a teacher would be trying to open something and couldn't, they'd ask if anyone had a knife and wouldn't be surprised at the number of people to offer one. However, that was a select few, in reality you would be arrested for carrying what the school labels "A concealed weapon." I carry around mine because I always seem to need it here and there. Oh and if you are going to get one here is a little advise from your friendly neighborhood country boy. The old saying goes that if you hand a man your knife closed, then he must return it closed. If you hand it to him open then he must return it opened. Why? Well, to most old timers here it's bad luck to have your knife return without it being in the same position when it was given. Do I believe it, meh maybe not but I like to be traditional in that sense. |
