In today's news, the High Priests of the God Sakha have announced the deification of a new god. This time the new deity is the former emperor of Norightsia, Galerius Quintilianus, who lived and died embodying the ideals of the gods of war. The Divine Galerius as he will be known, is allowed to be portrayed in images of the God Sakha and his servitors, images of the gods of war arrayed for battle, and in his own image, as the Patron Deity of Norightsia.

This is heresy and blashpemy. And to defame such a true and good person is even worse. such false and blasphemous pronouncements and worship will send you all straight to the pits of Hell.

Pope Julius IV

OOC: Which makes it all the more memorable. Especially because Shoa Conn is also a Sakhan God. ^_^

Its Galerius, BTW...*sigh* His name already forgotten. :( :P

IC: I'm not sure how to respond to this development. Although I am glad that my late cousin is being honored and remembered in Greater Sakha, it is somewhat odd that this action has been taken. I will assume this is merely misguided tribal superstition and ignore it, although I defend the Pope's righteous and just defense of the character and piety of the late Emperor.

****

Some disallusioned intellectuals, formerly Muslim Sumatrans, formerly pagan Synar, and downtrodden peasants throughout the former Imperium have begun converting to Sakhanism in light of this development. However, many of them follow a cult form of Sakhanism, where Sakha is a all powerful and Divine Creator, whose sons were GQ and Shi Conn. They believe these two are comrade deitie of good, however, Shoa Conn is viewed by this sect as a trickster god, who enjoys tampering with the work of the other gods. No real organization as developed among these people, and nither government has made any comment.

While we believe stauntly that the Hu'fievren is the Creator, we would like to exchange theologists to study each other's religions. Sakhanism and Zolonism are very similar: perhaps the Sakhan Gods are Zolon Gods as well.
