Never been to the west, unfortunately. In due time...

Awesome! LA is my favorite city in the world. You should really come here. ^_^

Same as, I've lived in the States for a year, but that was in Boston, but i've never basically been anywhere in the west of the U.S. I would definitely love to visit California... B)

Anyone from Europe that has never toured the American West is missing America. When I drove with a German friend, just to Wyoming he was dumbfounded - he had no idea really how big our country is. It is amazing - Utah, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Nevada, and yes, Washington (Go in September, the dry season. It doesn't rain then, and it is beautiful)! God's country.

This summer I'll be on deployment. Once fall arrives though, my enlistment will be up and then I'll be going to college.

I may try to sneak a vacation in there and go to Seattle for a week to vist some old Navy buddies of mine.

I wasn't judging the country, nor was I judging the entire American population. Infact, I wasn't judging anyone.

I was just giving my opinion of rich, white and spilt American teenagers who have no respect for the cultures and traditions of Italy which I would say is one of the most cultured nations in the world.

So sue me. Or better yet, come over here, say it to my face and then see what happens.

Oh, and you can take this to the mods as well.

1. You said, "typical American teenager", that was a sterotypical judgement of all American teenagers.
2. I'm not rich...
3. "Culture" and "Tradition" are meaningless when the nation is suffering under economic collapse and oppressed by a tyrannical dictator. Maybe its just me. Maybe its just because I'm a "typical American teenager." But I think that freedom matters more than culture and tradition.

Here, here!! That, dear CE, is NOT the opinion of a "typical American Teenager". The "Typical American Teenager" is unaware that Italy HAS culture. Gucci, Prado, yes, but art and culture, nah.

What good is art and culture in an islamic fundementalist state? Where are the Budda statues in Afganistan?? What great art is coming out of Saudi Arabia? Tell me about all the Taliban scholars and their great works of criticism? There is a wonderful book, I reccommend, called "While Europe Slept - How Radical Islam is Destroying the West from Within" by Bruce Bawer.

You have double digit imigrant growth and declining white birth rates. In no time, Europe will be predominantly Islamic, and you will have a fundimentalist Islamic state in Europe. I don't see how it can be avoided. Then, my dear CE, as a catholic, you might as well give up the ghost.

And please, don't just call me a racist, If you have an opposing view, present it, but no name-calling, please.

I agree with you New Harumf, that we have allowed way too much immigrants in Europe, and as a French, I can say we have way too many foreigners in France who can't get along with the local people, learn our languages and respect our laws and culture. BUT on the other hand, I think it is very ill-adviced to have an American administration that is as incompetent as our leaders or even worse, one that is trying to build a wall (!) with one of its neighbours (ie Mexico). I think immigration is in general a good thing, it brings people who do jobs in our countries that poorer people here wouldn't do, but at the same time it should be CONTROLLED immigration, that means not taking everyone in, having regular and strict checks at the borders, allowing in only people who have real passports and identity cards with the visas and all that stuff. Plus, on the islamic bit, i totally agree with you: those guys are coming here, building mosques, not blending with our societies... That's why I think we should try to let in only people who seriously respect our culture of tolerance and respect for everyone, and not accept those that profess radical views and religious extremism. But anyways, I still think it's not up to the Americans to tell us Europeans what to do, at least for France, we didn't engage ourselves in an illegal war that has only created more tensions and more problems in general.
Now, having lived in the USA, I don't have the same prejudices that some of us in Europe have on America, but I still think that at the end of the day, a poor guy over here lives out better here than America, I think that you guys should seriously oppose your president especially when he's thinking of privatizing social security which is really outrageous...
Hope to have more discussions in the future on those issues lol :P...

The hell with CONTROLLED immigration!! What right do you have to be in a country just because you were born there? I say, FREE THE BORDERS!!! Let all the mexicans come over! Privatising Social Security is just the first small step in eliminating all the evil socialist welfare programs that eat away at the livelihood of hard working Americans. Without welfare, there wouldn't even be an issue about the borders because anyone who comes over will have to work for their money and not feed from the government's teat.

Its suicide to open up the borders right now. Because if you do, you'll just have a flood of Mexicans come in and take advantage of welfare and completely bankrupt the American government. But if welfare is abolished, then allowing unlimited immigration will be practical and beneficial.

The Wilderness (and Chancellorsburg right next store) is much cooler than Bull Run, as is Fredricksburg and Antetum. They're all right in the same little area, so you can see a whole bunch - the whole war was fought between DC and Richmond anyway!! I played golf in Fredricksburg, took a divot with my 9 iron, and exposed a Melle bullet from the war!! They are everywhere.

Call your congressman and get signed up for the White House Tour, and any other freebees he can get you (They have a lot they can give away). If you can get to Montecello, it is way cooler than Mt. Vernon, as is Madison's and Monroe's homes. Don't forget a Supreme Court tour, and, hopefully congress will be in session and you can hit the gallery. Visit your congressmen's office too (who is yours?? Used to be Phil Crane, but you have Mallisa Bean now, don't you?)

The archives, and the treasury are cool too! Hell, everything along the Mall is worth it, from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capital Dome!!

Wear comfortable shoes.

Well, I'm taking a summer class which will last until the 27 of June. After that I'm free until late Augustus I think and I'll probably just go to our beaches everyday because I don't really have any plans nor money to make plans to go anywhere else:lol:

As for LA or California in general...you can keep it :P I much prefer the southern east coast to the west coast any day. Especially the women  They all seem to have this same voice type and it really annoys me :ph43r:

Give me Wrightsville beach, a good breeze, a few waves and that my friends is a perfect summer B)

Exams and masturbation.

Turning to drawing and masturbation if I can't get a job, turning to homelessness on the streets of Birmingham if the situation continues.

That's quite public. Indecent exposure. Get arrested. Solved the homelessness problem.
