What country would I want to live in?  Well, Nag, probably.  I don't thing the Lambda League would be that bad except for the weather, HOT HOT HOT!

Weatherwise, the country of Los Angeles, and freedoms are pretty complete, and he'd let me work to my wealth's content.

Places I would NOT live - AA, NH, CE, NRE, Paradise, or any radical muslim state.

What, I thought I was your political idol... You don't want to live in Esternarx? Its in New Zealand and it's hardcore capitalist.... I'm hurt, NH, I'm really hurt...

OK, sorry, yes, I'd prefer Esternarx, but I also like Los Angeles. Let's see, sixteen year old arson - 21 year old surfer!

You figure it out!!

Well so is LA, only I think LA is more so.

And RL you is his political idol, IC you be damned lol. :P :P :P

LA is a "left-wing utopia", Esternarx is a "capitalizt". LA has a 27% income tax, Esternarx doesn't have taxes of any kind. LA's economy is "developing", Esternarx's is "frightening", now you tell me which is more libertarian?

That's cause I don't do any issues. I think I've done like two for LA. On Forum LA is more capalist than Esternarx IMHO. And no danger or irradiation.

Trilateral Commission
May 30 2006, 03:11 PM
Hmm between the Pope or Phelps/Jack Chick I could easily adapt either way. My personal behavior isn't too deviant anyways.

But I'd rather work and live in Nag Ehgoeg (which I see as a sprawling high tech city, similar to Bladerunner or Coruscant from the new Star Wars movie). I'll also pretend I'm a Muslim and go on a hajj in Paradise.

I've actually always thought of "Trantor" (the planet wide city at the heart of Isaac Asimov's Galatic Empire) or "Prime" (the home world of the "Syntha" from the "Void" games) when thinking of Nag Ehgoeg.

Which is weird because Coruscant was more or less based on Trantor and Prime reminds me a lot of Bladerunner (in fact I might have to work a scene from Bladerunner into the story I'm developing).

Lol nice. I'm looking forward to that. And I think you have done a nice job in your RPs conveying the whole atomsphere and distinct "aura" of Nag Ehgoeg, so good for you.

In case anyone wants to live in or take a vacation in my countries:

Trilateral Commission resembles Fritz Lang's "Metropolis".
Antebellum South resembles "Gone With the Wind" and "Littlest Rebel" (the shirley Temple film)
Greater Shambala, "Triumph of the Will" and "Olympia".

Wadj has a huge government welfare system, and more civil liberties than you can shake a stick at. I'd live in Wadj, and I'd love it.

Sarawakh is extremely capitalist, with a lot of political freedoms, and moderate civil liberties.

Saxe-Coburg is socialist, and more controlling than Wadj.

El Imperio Mejicano is an authoritarian dictatorship, but as long as you don't question the system, the government treats you ok.

Le Congo Leopold is freaking insane. Don't live there.

Actually, I wouldnt mind living in Henraeld. In all honesty, its not a bad nation. Well, wasnt (pre-nuke). The only really bad thing they have going for them is that A.A. wanted them dead.

In actuallity, Henraeld is the opposite of A.A. now.

If the Wadji government tried to pull any of the crap the US government has pulled in regards to civil liberties, the populous would go on a rampage of Gandhi-esque civil disobedience. Wadjis don't give up their rights.

No no no. Of course Wadjis are a far more freedom-loving race than Americans. What was I thinking?

Damn straight. Americans can be manipulated by their crappy-ass presidents, whereas Wadjis won't take any of that crap. Wadj has been perpetually at war with Scythirus, and the government has not taken away any of their civil liberties.

In America you just slap the word "Patriot" onto a bill that severely limits the freedoms given to you by the constitution, and say "If you're not with us, you're with the terrorists" and you can get Americans to do anything you want.
