The Seceded South delegates also voted in favor of mobilization and as they account for an additional 1,013 seats in Congress this was an acceptable majority vote for mobilization. However, President Helms wasn't one to run headlong into battle and wanted to pick his enemy wisely. He had heard the plea of Lord Bolton and though the man wasn't from the South, Helms respected him especially with his recent efforts in his homeland. So again the weather president stood behind the podium and addressed the Congress. I thank President Moore and the delegates of Antebellum South for their unwavering support. It is true we share no love for the USNA for they themselves are the embodiment of a Union that so unjustly oppressed our people. However, as my colleague President Moore was quick to state we do see the USNA as family, though distant they maybe. For that reason alone will are quick to mobilize and attack. However, I like many here am a man of reason and Lord Bolton has made a just point. I think it is reasonable to believe that if the South is to enter war it should be as a third party. This way the South can wipe it's hands clean from supporting either of the two sides over the other while also ensuring that further imperialism by Kasnyia is halted and aggression by the USNA is put to rest. |

The Kasnyian Government has sent out a communique- My Government, while disheartened that we must go to war, commends you for not joining the lawless worms of the USNA. As my people too are an honorable race, We shall make it clear to you that we hold your people in no disregard, for your nation atleast goes to war for appreciable reasons. If captured on the battlefield, your soldiers will be treated like the honorable southerners they are. I promise you this. Representing the Emperor of Kasnyia, Mathias Hein, Prime Minister of Kasnyia ------------- OOC- So, you guys gonna collectively declare war on me and USNA? Or are we debating more? or what? |

Let it be known by the Kasnyian government, whose seems to be eager to dispense declairations of war that the current state of the South is simply that of a mobilization to readiness. We have yet to declaire war on any nation or alliance to date and for any nation to take our increased readiness as a threat is simply short sighted to say the least. Any action the South takes is simply to ensure our safety and currently we are merely discussing jointly our options. Let me assure the Kasnyian government that if and when the South is ready to officially declaire war I will perosnally see to it that the Kasnyian government is the first to know. -President Jesse A. Helms, Jr. |

OOC- ouch. IC- I ask that you forgive my assumptions. The stress of this is making us jump to conclusions, assumptions we mistook from our misreading of your proclaimation. We meant no disrespect, as the Kasnyian government wishes first and foremost not to go to war with your people. Your mobilization is of course is a reasonable gesture, and the Kasnyian government understands your motivations. I hope that our nations will not come to blows. -Mathias Hein, Prime Minister of Kasnyia |

OOC: Lol, one could say my last few posts were rash and unfair  IC: President Nathanael Moore next stoood up and addressed the assembly. "I agree with the wise words of President Helms. Now that Governor Bolton revealed that the Yankees have killed a man, I agree that we of the South will need to deal with these dangers as a third party, so we can be always on the lookout for the dangers coming both from Asia and from the Yankee North. Antebellum South stands ready at the side of the Seceded South and all our Southern brethren to face up to these challenges, and we fervently pray to God to preserve this peace but we are also ready to go to war if that is called for." |

Next President Jeffery Comstock stood up to address the Congress. "Gentlemen of the Confederacy, Chepachet has voted to mobolize its miltary, but we will not support an alliance with the USNA. Let us not forget the horrors of Reconstruction where decent southerners could not hold an office or even vote. Instead uneducated blacks and other minorities were put in office. That allmost killed the south. This all was forced on us the the North for starting the war. We, as Sons of the Confederacy, will oppose any alliance with the Northern countries. As for the invading immigrants. They pose no threat to the Confederacy. They are not invading our homelands and trying to convert our children to their ways. I see no reason to attack or ally with them. The North brought this attack on themselves when they outright killed a getleman in cold blood." |

President Jesse A. Helms, Jr. was pleased to hear from President Comstock and stood to address the Congress once more. Let it never be said that reason does not govern in Chepachet. It is true we cannot in good favor ally ourselves with the North. They are and have always been a traitorous people of whom we must watch closely or else be struck. However, on the same note the Kasnyians are of Asia, a land stricken by wars and imperialism. I think that this war is a more detailed matter than something just black and white. For that reason I motion that this Congress vote to merely "stay alert" to the current condition of the North and for the creation of a new Mason-Dixon Line to be defined as the following: Posted Image Posted Image I vote that this Congress us this line to determine its stance on situation on our continent. Thusly, any such dispute which involved countries North of this line are of only "security Concens" to the South. However, should that disupute fall south of this line, it will be seen as a direct assualt on the good Southern people of this continent and this Congress will act accordingly. |

President Comstock rise to address the delegation again. "I second this motion. We will remain on high alert and be on a watch and wait basis. I would also like to bring before this congress the issue of the NAN. Once again they invading the land of the whites and are saying that it is for religious reasons. I have already ordered troops to move into Iowa and Minnisota regions to stop the expansionist red skins. I would like to know that I have support of this confederacy if it comes to blows." |

The line was drawn really to just separate us from the North, although there are other reason as to why the line was projected all the way across the Texas border, but at the moment it just an idea I've been having "OOC". As for Northern Florida, they've not yet proven themselves a threat yet for us to be bothered by them and since they are south (Like us) we feel that we can trust them more easily than the North though the AC does worry us a bit. IC: Since this Confederacy was founded on the summit to deal with the NAN, I must agree with the President of Chepachet that it is perhaps time to revisit this issue. As for the proposal submitted by Texarado, though the Seceded South is thrilled to think our lost Southern brothers are once again interested in rejoining our people it does still bother us that the nation practices communism. I will withhold my person vote on this matter until I have heard commits from the other presidents. OOC: Hey E, any chance they be willing to change if it meant they could get in? If not, any chance in a forceful regime change in Texarado? |

They only call themselves communist to justify enslaving all of their citizens instead of just the black ones. In other words, yes, they will change their names and political rhetoric, but you're not going to get the dictatorial government to give up power. |

President Comstock rose again to address the delegation. "I vote in favor of Texarado joining the Confederacy. As long as they stop practicing the evil that is communism. In the case of the NAN I have not only sent in troops but have also passed a bill through the Chepachet senate about annexing the territories of Iowa and Minnosota. (OOC: I got mapmaker approval) This way there will be no chance in Hell that the reds will persecute any defenseless whites with their imperialistic ways." |

President Nathanael Moore got up on the podium to address the delegates. "I agree with President Helms and President Comstock, that the South must make the it clear to the world we are prepared to defend our homeland. This Mason-Dixon Line will be a strong statement of our sovereignty and will serve as an effective defensive frontier against Northern Agression. "But I am also willing to work with the Yankkees to fight our common enemies, such as the aggressive Mexican Empire. The South is strong and proud now, and we are more likely to Reconstruct the North than any plot that the Yankees may try against us. "As for the issue of the red man, Antebellum South is fully committed to defeating the Indian menace, and we will support Chepachet. I applaud Chepachet's efforts in ensuring that Iowa and Minnesota will not fall into the hands of savage, naked tribes of red men. "Finally, I would like to say I will only support Texarado's membership in the Grand Confederacy if the Texaradans reject communism. Marxism is the most ungodly and evil system of government, and right the government of Texarado is enslaving white Christians, as if they were no better than oxen or negroes. If Texarado wants to become a true Confederate nation, I reckon they must first become an Anglo-Saxon, Christian, democratic republic." **** A few moments later, in a secret meeting in a highly secure room in the basement of the Grand Confederate Congress, the Antebellum South Secretary of War, Julian Hawkins, presented his Southern colleagues with this top secret map and proposal: "Let us regard this 'Secret Mason-Dixon Line' as our ultimate long-term goal for the restoration of all the rightful lands of the South back to their proper Southern owners. In the future, I hope that Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware will be reclaimed for the South, preferably by peaceful means, God willing, or by war, God forbid. What say you?" Posted Image |
