QuadN News Synar Crosses the Line Banda Aceh--As is well known, the relationship beween Synar and Norightsia has always been dodgey at best. Synar was among our four initial enemies, disputed our right to the isthmus of Kra, and threatened to back up a joint Estonia/Conqueror Worm invasion that was planned. Through diplomacy, and the help of Sarwakh and Ganosia, did our great Emperor difuse the situation. But ever sice, Synar has sat comfortably on its Island fortress, even as the other three Initial Enemies: Burma, Estonia, and the Conqueror Worm all fell to our forces. But they have cast the first stone in this fight. It is no secret that the original capital of Syna was nuked by Ganosian terrorist Bijj at the end of the Valahalla incident. The capital was moved to Banda Aceh, but the government has been in seclusion, the people in depression, and the economy in recession. Synar has grown so weak that the Emperor need do little more than snap his fingers and cause them to tremble before us. But even that did not stop the insolent Synarians from launching an assault on us. Just yesterday, a Norightsian destroyer en route from Saigon to our military bases in the Nicobar Islands stopped in Banda Aceh for repairs after a storm damaged its RADAR array. However, while docked, the ship, INS Nike, was fired upon by Synarian military personnel. The sailors clearly saw men in fatigues fire several rocket propelled grenades at the ship, before speeding of in a jeep with the Synar flag flying from the back. All in all, only minor damage was done to the mighty ship, but the mere attack was provocation enough. The rowdy Synarians must be taught a grim lesson in diplomacy, manners, and chivalry. Their cowardly attack will reap them war for their insolence. Even though the Emperor is currently away, Legionary Command Issued this statement: "It has become abundantly clear that the government of Synar, as well as their vassals throughout the whole of Sumatra, have no respect for Norightsia, and are cowardly enough to launch terrorist attacks on our docked ships. We will not be played as fools by the Sumatrans. They believe we will not retaliate because we fear the Eastern Empire condemning us fr landgrabbing. It is obvious that this a retaliatory strike, with the purpose of punitively removing sovereignity from a childish and dangerous government. How can shipping be safe in Sumatra's many valuable ports if terrorist attacks are launched against any foreign ships there? This is a necessary messure, and will be carried out with minimum loss of life." Already, troops on standby in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to the Flumes incident have been called up and are heading for Sumatra. It is expected that a beachead will have been formed by the time of this broadcast. Sumatra is expected to fall within the week. That is all.... |

In an interesting event, the Imperium of the Eastern Empire has sent their support in this event. Synar has never been an ally to the Empire nor a favored nation. Ever since the Eastern Empire took the regional UN delegate position from the they have opposed Dynastian, especially during the Ganosian occupation and have done nothing to change the fact since. Though the Eastern Empire still views this as an Imperialist move by Norightsia, they see the Synarian destruction as the lessor of two evils. OOC: Thinking about the Eastern Empire being in the UN still cracks me up  :P lord that seems so long ago |

OOC Yeah but they abide by the excellent 19th century tradition of nations sending observers to faraway battles as "tourists". |

The foreign observers will be tolerated. They are welcome to dock in Banda Aceh, whose portis already in Norightsian hands. Other than that, they can use Norightsian facilities in the Bengal Islands or the Isthmus if necessary. |

"We thank the Imperial Government for their hospitalty. The CSS Cavalier will carry cadets from the War Academy and Naval Academy to study the progress and execution of these battles. Several Southern gentlemen and their wives will arrive in Bandah Aceh to gain a good view of the battlefield and watch the naval battles while picnicking on the deck of the Southern warship." --Antebellum SOuth Consul to Norightsia, Lt. Col. Dominique Auboussin. |

It is good to have such noble company. Unfortunately, we don't expect the conquest to be much of a battle, as the numbskulled Synarians have barely got an army together. However, the Southerners will find Norightsian troops and civilians most hospitable. They are to be allowed anywhere in Norightsia, including and up to our front lines in Sumatra. They can even view the nuclear wasteland ruins of Syna, whoe radioactivity has subsided to rather safe levels. --Lucius Aurelius Norightsian Liason to the Antebellum South Consulate |

Should any Sakhan troops be necessary for this campaign, the God-king would be most delighted to send them. |

We thank our great allies for their offers of assistance, but really their military might is not needed on this campaign, and is better conserved should the Assassination Army's be required in Henraeld, or either of them required for a war against the AU by the Eastern Empire and her allies, supposing she has any. --Legionary Command |

The Buddhists will be allowed to set up hospitals near the front lines, and have our protection as long as they stay within our lines. If the Buddhists should cross into Enemy Territory, they will be considered spies. However, so long as they follow this rule, they are welcome to fulfil their religious obligation to heal by treating those few innocent civilians injured by the inept Synarian Armed Forces, as well as Norightsian soldiers. Currently, the entirety of the Synarian mainland is in Norightsian hands. Unfortunately however, the enemy has retreated into southern Sumatra. Therefore, we are launching strikes across the border into the lawless portion of Sumatra to bring the warlord allies of Synar under Norightsian control and government, as well as to capture those enemy fighters who crossed the border and are seeking refuge there. That is all. --Legionary Command |

Even with TC, its a crap shoot. A question of loyalties, more correctly. The TC were in the AU, and probably would hesitate before atacking it, especially from the ME. |

OOC: Theres still some 'shadey' nations in Asia still. Or, you can call for assistance from outside Asia. Heck, employ some mercenary forces from Greater Shaka. You know he's always looking for a good fight, and as hired Mercs he would be avoiding AU interference. Not that I'm trying to get my rear-end kicked or anything. |

OOC: I forgot about them. See! Lots of people can help you out. ^_^ Edit: Plus, my other Nation Henraeld rebelled and has a nice amount of Assassin weapons. You can always ask them to help out, though I'd rather you RP their use since it would be odd fighting myself. |

Synarese warlords made camp on the beach. Percussion grenades could be heard in the distance, as Norightsian forces pushed futher south. Only two days ago was Sumatra home to a isolated, withdrawn nation. Now an imperialist goliath from the north is pillaging their homes and families in the name of their peace-loving deity. But they would not give up. They will fight till the death... OOC: I spoke to Synar today, and told him that his nation is gone. He was really pissed, but I told him that he never posts, so they assumed we wasnt playing anymore. He was adamant about keeping his nation and says to expect a post in the near future (i.e. tomorrow). Because I've told him to post many times before, I will only try to delay this annexation for about a weeks' time. If he doesn't post by then, that sucks for him :P |

OOC: I think the AU always supports AU nations against non-AU nations. So asking the AU in would be the worst thing Synar could do. Especially with certain less than scrupulous AU nations. |

OOC: True. But I dont remember anything about this war that Norightsia mentioned being the cause for the conflict. So, I was thinking that maybe it was made up for the sake of the annexation of a dead nation. But since he's not actually dead... well, you see my train of thought. |
