Today the Emperor sent a large expeditionary force to secure and control a northern part of Australia. We take you to him live now... Emperor Jodo: "We realize that this move may seem sudden to many of our citizens and to the international community. Let me be the first to say that this should not be interpreted as a hostile move. Our nation has grown far beyond anyones expectations, and requires certain natural resources and space. As such, the Australian areas are relatively free and open. We expect the lands to be fully incorporated and scouted within 2 months, and the local Water and Power supplys to be fully active nearly a month after that. We will then allow the area to open for people to move and live in as each area comes online." Reporter: "Sir, isnt this fairly expansionist?" Emperor Jodo: "Our people deserve the best. And if that means we have to go out there and get it ourselves and take what we need, Then I guess we need to start doing it. This conference is over." Interesting thought process the Emperor has shown. The C. York Peninsula, as we have found out, has been the target of Imperial expansion for months. This has been an Assassin News Services report. |

Just another example of the expanionist idealisms harbored by many of the AU nations. The Eastern Empire will not recognize this expanision and will gladly be the first to oppose it. -The Officer of the Sovereign, TheNeoDynasty OOC: As if you didn't see that coming :P  |

I support the annexation that is taking place by the Assassination Army. I will send 2,500 missionaries for this unconquered part of the world. Pope Emmanuel III |

Norightsia stands by the Assassination Army, a bastion of Catholocism and civilization. The people of Australia are better off with them than with their own government. |

We thank the nations who have given us their support, and of course look forward to diplomatic relations with our newest neihbors. As for the nations speaking out against the AU and of our expansion... we hardly recognize your protests considering past circumstances. We will not allow another Porto Santo incident to occur and will feircly guard any and all territories claimed by the Assassination Army. OOC: Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Just some friendly poking. |

The Assassin forces moved with swift purpose and force. Nearly 200,000 men and women swarmed the beaches of Northern Australia, and began to fan out. The landing sight was promptly secured, and the forces began to spread out. The military was in control of the operation, with Hicks in command. It was his first command and he didnt want anything to go wrong. Several villages were already known to be in the area fromt he satalite photos. The natives hardly numbered in any significant forces, and would soon become part of the Assassination Army anyways. Several days later, a huge area had been secured. Much of the northern area had been placed under Assassin control. Several villages and small towns had resisted, but they were pacified and the towns deserted. There were no Assassin casualties beyond the minor scrape and bruise. By this time major construction crews had begun to build a large coastal fortress, capable of housing larger ships so more supplied could be ferried in. Power plants, and other structures needed to be built to supply any local population were already being constructed. The Emperor had given Hicks 3 months to get the first city up and running. He planned on having it up in 2... and it would be a major focus of Imperial power from which he could spread his influence. The Emperor would be pleased. OCC: Unless someone objects, can the area be added to the map? |

The Eastern Empire still stands by it's actions in Proto Santo and still mourn the loss of those who righfully held sovereignty in that area. -Office of the Sovereign OOC: Though I oppose it IC, I have nothing against it OOC, though if Norightsia could make a side note of the map saying that the Australian expansion is not recognized by TheNeoDynasty that would be fine :P |

OOC: Its on like Donkey Kong! In all seriousness though, I know what you mean. Hence the more aggressive attitude of my nation as of lately. Plus, its no secret that my nation has had its problems with yours IC and it doent trust your current leader. On top of that, we never really agreed to a ceasefire between our nations after Porto Santo. The conflict kind of just died out due to the stuff in Europe. Basically, we have our own little cold war between us. Least, thats how I look at it. Let me know if you have any good RP ideas. I cant promise to be extremely active since I'm on deployment and still without my computer for a bit more... but a long drawn out slower paced war would suit me just fine. |

OOC: hmmm you know I never did realize that  we never did agree on any sort of ceasefire, hmmm. We'll I'll give it some thought and get back to you on that. I agree, a slower war would be better for me, one which is LOOOONG and DRAAAAWN out, kinda like a border war where you kinda just have little battles here and there. I attack you then retreat, you return the favor and then go home and it just continues until our two nations are tired of fighting and we make up so sort of agreement that is bound to be broken years later after a brief term of peace. Now thinking about it, you could help out the Prince of what's left of NeoDacia. It's no Secret that the Eastern Empire is looking to finish what they started there and crush what's left of the country. You could do what I did in Porto Santo, and support him. Then well just fight along that border for a while until we're bored and then we'll figure out some way to end it lol |
