The God-king looked on at the crowd awaiting his speech with delight. With a smile on his face, he addressed the assembled people, on this occasion, sure to be a milestone in Asian history. "Friends and allies, this is truely a momentous occasion. I wish to offer my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the Norightsian engineers who have put in so much work on this project. This ship that they have built, the first of the great Asian Union fleet, is truely a miracle of modern engineering. The defense of the northern seas will be a simple task with this great creation. Indeed it heralds a new age for us, for soon the Asian Union will possess a true Invincible Armada, and we will rule the seas. In this age of political tensions, and massive alliances, Asia will be fearless. "Long have I known the joy of war, but my friends in the Asian Union have taught me something else, the joy of peace. For it is the coming peace that gives war its glory. That is why we have a Peacekeeping Force, and this vessel shall make that force unbeatable. Once the Fleet is complete, no one will face us on these seas! Long live the Asian Union!" The God-king moved over to the hull of the ship, and broke the champagne bottle over it, announcing "I present to you the Asian Union Peacekeeping Vessel Greater Sakha!" The cheers of the crowd were full of joy all around. |

The Emperor clapped his hands delightedly after the speech. It was pretty momentous that a God-King of Greater Sakha would be advocating peace. There was then time for photos. There were shots of the rulers shaking hands and of course of the actual Christening. The most famous shot was of the Emperor kissing his wife goodbye. The God-King was by that time already aboard. The Emperor bounded to the top of the gangplank, and then looked back, where the Raja was still waving to the people. "Heard you're getting married soon, old bean. Still interested in joining us?" |

OOC: Whoops... heh heh IC: "But of course, my good man!" said the Raja beaming. "She's a real beauty. Well, I suppose we should be off then, shouldn't we?" Raja James II walked up the gangplank and onto the greatest ship afloat. Just then a black limousine pulled up, and a beautiful woman in a silk Sari got out. "Saroja, my dear," called out the Raja. "What are you doing here?" Rani Saroja bowed to the God-King and the Emperor. "I wanted to say goodbye," she said, smiling. "You didn't have to do that," said the Raja sheepishly. "I say," exclaimed the Emperor. "Would you care to join us on this little cruise?" The Raja beamed. "That would be perfect!" he exclaimed. "It would be my honor," said Saroja. "Excellent!" said the Emperor. "I'll have a stateroom made up for you." |

OOC: Well then. IC: The Admiral immediately began barking orders. The massive reactors were powered up, and suddenly, everything was illuminated. Lights came on, computers sprang to life, and elevators began to hum. The Four Rulers went to the very prow of the great warship, waving to the masses below. In an instant, the massive engines came alive, and the huge turbines began to drive, taking the ship slowly but surely out of berth. She began to steam surely out of Pilgyn Harbour, creating a massive wake. On the bridge, the Admiral took the wheel himself, guiding the behemeoth out to sea. Pilgyn harbour was nearly empty, so no tugboat was necessary. But went out anyways, tailing the leviathan and trying to outpace the swift ship. The Admiral slowed down, allowing the tug to pass. But the little ship unexpectadly swerved to reach the side of her larger companion. It was an unforseeable situation. The entire tugboat was sucked under the waves by the massive displacement of Greater Sakha, and crushed beneath her thick hull. The Rani gasped, and the Raja was there to steady her. The God-King began to demand explanations as the Emperor looked on, cursing himself for not bringing his wife aboard. It was comforting to see another couple in love, but it left a hole in his heart. On the Bridge, the Admiral was swearing loudly, running aft to get a damage report. Luckily, the Greater Sakha is undamaged, although the crew is shaken. Back at the prow, the Raja looked out moodily at the darkening waves. He turned to the Emperor, who had remained after the God-King had left for the bridge. Still holding his wife to be in his arms, he spoke grimly. "I say, isn't that terrible bad luck?" It wasn't a joke, but the Emperor laughed, ruefully, and a bit nervously, altough that was masked by an overall air of mocking. "What do you think this is, Titanic? The Lord God alone decided events. There are no omens, and there is no luck. What happens, happens. And it happens for a reason." With that, he bowed calmly and went aft to seek hs other friend. Not long after, the four were reunited on the bridge, joined by the Admiral. The latter assented to give up his quarters to the couple, but the Emperor deemed it "terrible improper" for them to spend the night together so close to the wedding. So he jokingly lead the Raja downstairs, leaving his fiancee in the least Spartan of all the rooms, and decending down into the bowels of the beast. |

OOC: Fine then. It begins.... IC: On the Bridge..... It was night, and the bridge was illuminated red. While the VIPs were taking their rest, the night shift had the duty of keeping the ship on course. The Admiral, who never seemed to sleep, was on bridge. Suddenly, a blip apeared on RADAR. Closer, the signal manifested itself as a ship's would. Closer. It wasn't moving. The lookout couldn't see it, even with nightvision field goggles. Closer, suddenly, the Radioman picked up a signal. He fed it into the speakers. Suddenly, the silence of the Bridge was broken. "SOS, SOS. This is S.S. Bering Sun, whaler out of Kanitsu. We've been hit by some kind of explosion. We are taking on water and listing. Send help, Coordinates XX, YY.........SOS, SOS. This is S.S. Bering Sun..." It kept repeating itself. But the voice was getting more and more nervous as the minutes dragged by. RADAR seemed to indicate that the vessel on the screen was at the coordinates listed by the Sun's radioman. The lookout called Ship Ahoy! The Admiral made a decision. "Send a life boat out. We need to locate these guys. Something doesn't seem right, but I can't allow the Gid-King to be seen as incompassionate to those in need." The boat was readied, manned, and sent out... |

The Sun was listing badly as the boat reached it. The crew could not be seen. Tenatively, a two man expedition climbed on deck. The four men in the boat had to try their hardest to keep the boat anchored to the stricken vessel. A storm was definately in, and the swells doubled the difficulty. The men waited for a good ten minutes. The expedition still hadn't come back. Water was already lapping the deck, and they realized that at the very least, they had to escape with all six crewmen from Greater Sakha. Leaving only one man to keep the boat afloat, three ran across the deck and disappeared below deck. The ship could be heard groaning. She was just about to go down. The lone man was about to cut the ropes and run, until he saw what appeared to be one of the Sun's crew. At least he was wearing a whaler's atire. The lone man callled out to the man on deck, who trotted over to the boat. But the supposed crewman didn't answer the battleship sailor's query as to the location of his men. He simply pulled out a silenced and flash suppressed pistol and shot him dead. The lookout saw only the listing ship. He couldn't make out anything transpiring aboard. Suddenly, the boat seemed to jerk free. It began steaming towrads Greater Sakha, just as the Sun's deck disappeared. The boat got closer, closer, as the swells grew larger, and the Sun disappeared forever. |

The men of the Greater Sakha were amazed to see twenty men step off the boat, not a single one part of the rescue team. They had no time to ask questions. The Dynastian warroirs pulled out their weapons and began killing. It was a good enough distraction for Origen's seven man team to sneak into the bowels of the ship. Alarms were sounded everywhere, as sailors rushed on deck to engage the boarding party. |

The Emperor and the God-King were not long in coming up towards the deck. The unknown assailants had reached as far as Alpha gun, and were slaughtering all sailors in sight. Some tried in vain to bring machine guns to bear on the deck, but truth was that aprecautions against a boarding party had been totally factored out of the design. The enemy fought with blades and submachine guns, it was all the sailors could do but drop their service pistols and try to wrench AA guns out of their sockets to use against their foes. When the Emperor saw this, he immediately annalyzed the situation. None could say that Galerius Quintilianus was a coward, he had fought in the Great War of Succession on the side of the Pope (I know this is impossible by CE's reckoning, but not by mine). He had been battle tested in the Conquest of the Original Empire, and the Revolution against the Communists. Galerius Quintilianus was a soldier at heart, and soldiers know how to fight. The only weapon he had was the Sword of St. Stephen he had worn to the Christening. He wasted no time unsheathing it, and after a quick prayer, charged into battle. **** Pelagius was not at all impressed with the sailors of AUPKV Greater Sakha. They fought tenaciously, and with everything they could get their hands on, but his Commandoes made easy work of them. This second attack went largely unnoticed by the crew. Only those they ran into found out about it, and they were heading on deck to fight the Dynastians. They reached their objective in no time at all. The reactor was a thing of genius. It also powered the huge cooling system that allowed the Greater Sakha to resist chemical and martini-related attacks with no great strain. There were four, massive neo-nucularium reactors. If someone had known of their objective, it would have been simple to deactivate them beyond the commandoes' ability to sabotauge. But no one knew. That was why the Dynastians fought over head. |

Quiet and somber, and, as always, surrounded by an aura of eerie silence, the God-king stood as an isle of tranquility in the midst of chaos. Glancing around area room with his all-seeing eyes, he caught the eyes of one Dynastian after another. Even for these battle-hardened warriors, a chill went down them as His gaze met theirs: those eyes spoke that he knew who they were and who had sent them. In that solemn voice of doom, the voice which calls men back to the ancient age, when one went to war whenever the crops no longer needed to be tended, he pronounced upon them. "So this then, is what becomes of dealing with such. Know this: I know why you are here. Think not that your master can escape the wrath of God." Unlike the Emperor, the God-king did not fight. |

OOC: Seeing as Wadj refuses to post. <_< IC: It wasn't long before the Raja appeared on deck. He had somehow acquired a revolver, and immediately began firing into the melee. The Emperor noticed his best friend, and quickly parrying a Dynastian thrust, retreated to speak with him. "My friend! I am afraid I must ask you to leave." "What are you talking about old chap, I just dropped by!" "I am afraid that a few of these heathens may have gone down the hatches. Your bride isn't safe. I don't want to risk her whilst these savages continue to put up such a heated fight. You should go below and fetch her. I want you to escort her off the ship in a life boat I've prepared. You can sail to Bering Island. When we've put these fellows down, we'll send for you. But II am simply too worried about her to fight." The Raja looked apprehensive, and he clearly fealt bad about abandoning his friends. The God-King was now dangerously close to the fray, without showing intention of moving out of the way. But his husbandly instinct took over, and he obediantly went below deck. The Emperor continued to fight for another fifteen minutes whilst the Raja was below. The God King was now right upon the battle. Suddenly, a Dynastian dove through a couple of Japanese sailors, and ran the monarch through with his bashir. The God-King crumpled to the deck. Galerius, in a fury, wasted no time in beheading the adversary. Not long after, the Raja and Rani appeared. "I say! Galerius, old boy!" The Emperor trotted over, winded. They were not more than 10 yards from the encroaching Dynastians. "What is it James?" "Where is this boat you speak of?" At the back, on starboard side, the last one. Climb in. Take a few sailors with you for good measure. Sail out to Bering Island, and try to stay warm. We'll see about picking you up." The two friends said their goodbyes, and the Emperor saluted the Rani. But just before the Raja began to walk off, he started. "I say! Where's Sakha? I should like to convey my goodbyes." The Emperor frowned deeply. "He's dead James. He didn't budge when the fight reached him, and the bastards cut him down." "How awful!" The Rani gasped. The Emperor nodded, but the Raja was speechless. It was Galerius who broke the silence. "Go now. You are not safe here." With that, the royal couple of Sarawakh escaped AUKPV Greater Sakha. **** Wyclif, Pelagius's lieutenant, surveyed the reactor. His men were hard at work hardwiring the systems. The first step was to seal off the reactor. This was in case coolant were unduly leeking into the reactor istelf. Of course the reactor was meant to be shut off at the time, so there was a great deal of bypassing to do. But he had plenty of time. **** Pelagius charged p the stairs, submachine guns blazing. I was a while yet to the bridge, but he had decided he would reach it sooner rather than later. Once the sabotauge work was done, he had only one problem left to deal with. |

The Bridge was in chaos. The Admiral could not keep his own officers calm, let alone the common sailors. Already, some were trying to escape in lifeboats. He had given the order to shoot the deserters on sight, but wasn't sure if anyone was complying. Truth be told, most men were looking out only for themselves as this point. Suddenly, the door burst in, followed by roaring fire and the sound of a concussion. Men with submachine guns inflicted a feirce culling of everyone there, except the Admiral, who dove behind an overturned table and pulled out his sword, blessed by the God-King himself. Pelagius very deliberately strode over to the computer, and popped in a disc. It began to play over all the screens and speakers of the ship at maximum volume. The same broadcast was sent to every news network in the world. It was Origen's face that appeared, on a replica of the Bridge. The voice began its speech... "People of the world, I must inform you that I am verily saddened by what is to come, and what has already happened. The people of the nation of Norightsia have suffered much, and will soon suffer more, to earn their freedom in blood. For too long now, they have been held captive by two men. One of them is in Genesis City. He is the pretender who calls himself the Holy Father. He has abandoned Rome, the Holy City, to establish his den of sin in Constantinople. He forces those who desire to follow the One, Holy, Apolostolic Church to commit a myriad of sins to appease him. The greatest of all these sins is the Inquisition. This man is the Apostate, the false prophet heralded by God to lead us astray. He must not be followed. The other is not so far from where I am now. On this very ship, AUPKV Greater Sakha. He is our most Holy ans Just Emperor, Defender of the False Faith. It is true that he was a great man, who was a friend to many, a great husband and father, not just to his family, but to Norightsia. But he has been enslaved by Genesis City. He commits her errors blindly, in the reason that he may thus be saved. But he follows a Pope in name only. The Apostate claims he is the Pope, but acts not as our servant, the vicar of Christ, but a tyrant. One who senselessly murders all who oppose him. This is unacceptable. Therefore, the greatest son of Norightsia, as the greatest son of God, must give his life to save his people. Thus shall it be done. Sic Semper Tyranus!" Everything happened in that one moment. Pelagius started the engines. The Admiral lept out of his hiding place to smite him down. The Emperor, fearing for his wife and children, and realzing that he may never see them again, dove overboard, and Wyclif, Wyclif pressed the button that stopped them all. The reaction was not long delayed. When the reactor put out the necessary power for Pelagius's command, it heated up. But the core had been compromised. Immediately, it tried to douse the reactor with coolant, but those lines were shut down. The temperature became too hot, and the atoms changed their movement. Then it happened. An airship, overhead watching, detected that a white glow permeated the center of the ship. Suddenly, a fireball ripped the ship apart like God's Own Fist. Shard flew everywhere as the Ice Ship was obliterated. The huge heat wave shot upwards, disintegrating the airship's skin, and freeing the gases that held it aloft, which promptly exploded. The mangled wreck plummeted into the other mangled wreck, in some of the coldest waters on earth. Then there was nothing left. |
