The following edict was published by the Imperial government today: "As many of you are aware, members of the organization that names itself 'Roman Catholic Church' and which is classified by law as the Latin Papal Denomination, has had certain restrictions on its actions and its members' privelages as a leftover from the War of Succession. In the past, I have removed some of these restrictions as peace and prosperity returned to the land. It is in this spirit, that I would like to announce the abolition of restrictions placed on Roman Catholics. Roman Catholics are hereby returned to same full privelaged status as other religions, which they had enjoyed prior to the war. All reguations on Roman Catholic rights and privelages currently existing within the body of Imperial Law are hereby abolished. Our Roman Catholic citizens have proven themselves to be good and loyal citizens, and will henceforth be free from suspicion." In other news, the Imperial government announced that all pharmaceutical companies would undergo a series of strict inspections, commencing tomorrow. |

''Our nation applauds the actions of freedom and trust towards the Roman Catholic Church. This is a great day for people everywhere, we are looking forward to establishing more positive relations with the Resplendent Dawn and their Imperial government in the very near future. We have in response order our Mediterrean Squadron to standown and return to base." Presidente Luis Macchi |

New Harumf and the Atlantis Primary applaud your wise decision to return Roman Catholicism to its proper place as a leading religion in your nation. New Harumf is dispatching 1,500 monks to re-establish churches, and prostlatize for new members to the faith within the borders of the RD. Atlantis Primary is sending 750 missionaries to RD, in an attempt to convert others to the Catholic Faith. |

This is a most glorious day for which I give thanks and praise to the Holy Mother, whose prayers and invocations have brought those of the One True Faith from oppression into freedom as they should be. I offer my personal thanks to the Dawnsian Government. Pope Emmanuel III OOC: I should really return the favour but I'm not going to! :P |

While members of Christian denominations other than the Catholic Church are not persecuted, the Catholic Church remains the only denomination to have representation within the Nagian Government. The government of Nag Ehgoeg approves this dropping of double standards and second class citizenship but, as the people of Nag Ehgoeg have equal rights regardless of religion, we see no reason to give government representation to any faith group not currently represented. |
