The Timbuktu Times Just days after Admiral Claude Nero signed the Treaty of Santo Domingo, The Songhai Dominion expanded again to include an area known outside of the NationState Universe as Mauritania. The Campaign surprised most of the Songhai General Staff, as there was no Government to speak of in the NationState country of Maratanica. "We just marched a few divisions straight to their capital," Colonel Ishmael Muhammad said. "There was no resistance." Residence of Maratanica residence look forward to receiving basic services, like garbage collection and running water. "They abandoned us," sayd local resident Ali Ghamal. "It's like the Government just left to deal with more important things." President Mel Freeman, when asked about future plans for Greater Songhai, made no mention of future invasions. "Our objective was to examine the feasibility of establishing a Sea Port," Freeman said. "Last week, our Foreign Affairs Minister visited their capital. The country had been effectively abandoned, so we accelerated our timetable." The Maratanica Campaign serves as an unbelievable contrast to the Caribbean Campaign, which lasted two years and resulted in a powersharing agreement between Greater Songhai and the former resistance. |

You should indeed first consult with me and get approval before making an annexation. In this instance I believe your annexation is largely reasonable, so I will let you take the southern half of Mauritania/Maratanica. That way you can get coastline for a port without taking up an excessive amount of land. The northern half of Mauritania/Maratanica will be left unoccupied. I have sent you a PM to clear things up. |

The Republic of Greater Songhai accepts the terms outlined by the Trilateral Commission. The initial objective of our expedition was to gain access to the Atlantic. Our objective was met and our expansion is now recognized by the International Community as legitimate. As a result of this recognition, I shall ask the National Assembly to "Big Up" the Trilateral Commission within the next week. We also sincerely hope that the Trilaterals Big Up themselves. Sincerely, Melvin Freeman, President |

OOC The nation of Trilateral Commission has nothing to do with it. Map business is done by me, the person and not the nation. :) ;) |

Actually, since you mention it, I'm selling shares in the European Continent Map. You can buy one of 100,000,000 shares by giving me the equivalent of one dollar in a foreign currency of your choice. Offer not valid in Ouaxaca. Sorry, we do not accept Canadian Dollars. |
