I think we should err on the side of consistency with past forum rules, personally.

Exactly, couldn't agree more.

Paradise, just over rule the poll and decide on one nation per map.

At least one person voted for two nations when they meant to vote for one, so actual vote totals should be 10 for one nation and 8 for two nations.

Is there any proof of that other than hear-say?

I know, I saw the original post, but he could just be trying to get an extra vote for the ones and take one away from the twos... Not that I don't trust NRE. I trust him, but its always better to have proof when its such an important dispute like the changing of rules.

I don't think it's possible to attain the type of proof you're looking for, which means we either accept that he actually voted incorrectly or we create a new poll....

Like I said, I believe him, so lets just take him on his word... another poll would be annoying...

I don't buy it, and butter my buns and call me a bisquit, but I want my two nations!

Some random facts:

At least 9 people have voted for 1 because 9 people made posts in the thread stating that they want 1. 3 people made posts stating they want 2.

So why did you post saying that he could be lying?

He was asking for proof. When proof was revealed everything was good.

Why does that matter? It's not like because they didn't post, it's invalid!

Quaon... *sigh* you're just as bad as CE.

NRE voted for 2 and said he made a mistake and wanted to vote for 1.
There was a possibility that NRE had actually voted for 1 and was lying in order to take a vote away from 2 and put it on 1.
HOWEVER 9 people voted for 1 and nine people posted saying they voted for 1.
As the NRE wasn't one of those people, we can conclude that he did not vote for 1 and that we can safely count the number of votes cast for having only 1 nation as being one higher.

We can not reduce the number of votes for having 2 nations by one, as NRE may not have voted, unless everyone who voted for 2 posts.

Everyone's vote for 2 still counts and no-one has said otherwise - regardless of whether they posted or not.

However this brings the total number of votes to

10 for 1 Nation
and 9/8 for 2 Nations

Thus the people saying 1 Nation win. Good for them (I said 2 Nations).

The poll says 1 nation.
Paradise says 1 nation.
1 nation it is. Quit fighting it and think of a way to kill off a colony.

Hmm, how do I dispose of one of my two countries? Thanks, guys, this is a real delemma now. I should have known that your Eurocentric views would not be able to acknowledge two distinct Americas. Ohh, you see a distinction between North and South Africa...............

I think I'll allow 2 nations for the American Continent map and keep the two maps separated (as it is now). It will be the only exception though. Other regions will still have the 1 nation per map rule.

...

Well CE will be happy :P

Understand, I'm not complaining - I voted for 2 nations.

But WHY bother have a poll if you're not going to use it?!?

I did accidentally vote for two when I wanted to vote for only one. I know I already said that but I figure I'd say it again, for continuity.

An if we're allowed to have ther two nations, I think I'll keep my SA colony then B)
