I am opening this thread so CE can post his ideas for the Olympics, since the rest of you just don't get it. CE, please, when you are ready.

How to choose the Host City

Basically, I was thinking that all admin and moderators would get one vote each and they would be the only ones who would be able to vote and choose which city gets to host the Olympics. Then this would be as follows:

1) We give everyone two days to make a post if they wish to nominate one of their cities to hold the Olympics (they can only nominate their own city and they can not endorse other cities).

2) They would have to, in that post, detail why their city should hold the games, trying to persuade the voters. This should include things such as the size of the city, the funding etc.

3) Once all the entries have been submitted in those two days, the voters then have a day to make up their mind as to who they wish to vote for (N.B: If a voter sumbits their own city they are not allowed to vote for it).

4) The result is then announced.

The number of Events at the Olympics

At least for the first Olympic Games that we RP, I was thinking of limiting the numbers so that we don't overburden ourselves.

Games that will be RPed

1) Track Events - 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1500 metres and marathon
2) Swimming Events - 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1500 metres (in one flying style only though).
3) Field Events - Shotput, Javelin, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, High Jump

All these 3 will be both male and female, so it's doubled basically.

I was thinking of putting some team sports in there like hockey but I appreciate comments regarding the inclusion of some events and the exclusion of other events and what you guys think.

Sorry that I've not added to this but my phone was stolen last night when I was at a club, I had three hours sleep and I have an essay to do tomorrow so I won't be able to really finish this off until Friday at the earliest.

It is time to evaluate your drinking volume when you start having things like phones stolen. CE, slow down. My lover (the Queen) had this problem, and I had to teach her when to lock everything up in her purse, so, in your case, your man-bag.

This is NOT a good sign, and if you were my responsibility, you'd get a good spanking!

Maybe CE was just taken advantage of by a real thief. I've had things (even phones) stolen, and I try never to get smashed.

No, New Harumf was quite right, I was too pissed to notice (but I was not that drunk). That however does not diminish the fact that a thief stole my phone.

Well, do you not drink when you go to a nightclub? I do and so of course I was drunk. However, I was not completely out of my head (as I have been other times) but, of course, alcohol will not help me realise if a thief is stealing my phone.

Lol, you actually no me better than I give credit for! That's amazing, considering you've never even met me in real life. Seriously, I know it sounds vain and everything (and it probably is) but you just described what I'm like to a near enough T.

Nnnnyeah. I wonder how I got that right? Ya don't think there are people like you here? Naaa, couldn't be. Of course, when I was young, hanging out in clubs, we didn't have cell phones to be stolen, but I lost a lot of nice lighters!! Believe me, I can tell you more about you than you can imagine!!

Perhaps, just perhaps, you should put your phone in your pocket (not down in your underwear, god knows how many strange hands will get down there). Do they offer phone insurance? Might be a wise investment.

1) It was in my pocket.
2) I do have phone insurance.

But I only just had my phone stolen in March. It's very annoying, thieving bastards.

I've had a cell stolen in the states before. Nice little bill I had to fight off after it was all said and done.

Honestly, who talks to someone in Japan for 4 hours straight?

In relation to this question - yes, please do. I'm very busy at the moment to be able to devote enough time to forming something which will prove to be very complicated and hard to form (just look at nswiki's description on the olympics).

Hmm, if the phone was in your pocket, how the hell did they get it?? You were so drunk you couldn't feel someone's hand going into your pocket, or does that just happen so often that you've gotten used to it??  B)

Ok sure, I'll keep you informed ahead of everyone else so you can have the final say if you wish.
