It was a hot day as the thin, tall black man walked along the dirt road with his large black hat protected him from the sunlight. He wore the traditional black clothing of a priest, which only made it seem even more hot. He also wore a small wooden cross around his neck and in his right hand he held close to his bible. However, he really didn't mind at all how hot it was and the only thing on his mind other than the biblical text which seems to be constantly running through his mind, was reaching Bethenien. The sun had fallen a bit and so the man grabbed the rim of his large black, sombrero like hat and tipped it forward. Finally after hours of walking he saw the edge of the city of Brethenien. Namibia as a nation had ceased to exist a long time ago and as for it's cities, though who didn't fall seemed to become self-sufficient and locked themselves away from the outside world. The man had come to change all that, and it would be for the better. He walked to the center of town, it was the market place and like most days around this time, it was busy. Women looking for the best deals on fresh fruit and clothing, while the men looked to build better tools. The man went to the center of the town square which happened to be the town's fountain and stood on top of it. He quickly scanned the crowd, hoping to document in his mind every face that was present before he began... Brothers and sisters your time has come, she shouted, the lord has not forgotten you. The lord has sent me to tell you that he forgives you of your sins and that he welcomes you back into his eternal Kingdom all you need to do is believe again! By the time the man had finished the crowd already had their full attention turned to him. It was a small, isolated town after all so they didn't get many visitors especially those preaching about God. Some seemed to show a little interest in the subject, however others were simply irritated. They didn't like the idea of outsiders, especially those trying to "preach" to them. What has your God done for us? one man asked from the crowd My God has done plenty for you my brother, said in man in black. He has given you the rain needed to grow your crops and the life in which you need to exist. He has keep your city safe from those in the outside world who are agents of Satan. Now, though let me ask a question for answering one.....what have you brother done for God? I see no church in which to praise his name and I see no cross around your neck. Why I doubt you even keep his book in your house, why brother? Why do you not show the love and respect he shows you? The man gave it some though, as did the rest of the crowd. He was about to answer when another man spoke up. Though the first man was a none believer he did at least acknowledge the fact that there was the possibility of a God. The man who cut him off from answering however, was much different. You God has given us none of those things. It was we, who worked hard after the fall of our government to stay strong as a city and not drift into becoming a tribe like out ancestors. We plowed the fields and built the houses and we did so with no help from your God. Face it your God does not exist and simply put, he nor you can do anything for or against us. The man in blacks expression never changed throughout that entire speech. His faith never wavered and he replied to the man in kind. You my brother are down a dark path, one which only heretics walk. I tell you now that God has sent me to save you, and only those who take my word to heart will be saved after God gives judgment unto this town. The man in the crowd simply laughed. You can sit up there all you want, but it will not change our minds. You may fool some here, but you do not fool us all. I say those who don't wish to sit here and listen to this crazy man should come with me, after all the fields will not plow themselves. With that the man began to walked away from the crowd. Following him was about nine other men, ten in all. The man in black studied the faces carefully before returning his attention to the crowd. My children you have made the right choice and I tell you that tomorrow God will reward you with life and as for those who walk the path of the heretic, they will surely be punished. With that the man continued to preach the Catholic faith to the crowd until it became late and he sent them home. The local hotel owner was among those who stayed and offer the man a room for the night, free of charge or course. The man in black sat in a chair next to the window and used the moon light to read the bible. It was about midnight when he stopped and looked out the window. There wasn't a single light on in the entire city, which was relatively small. It was time to make his move and so he opened the window and climbed out of his room. He moved through the city like phantom, inspecting every house one by one without anyone in or outside the house ever knowing he was there. He was looking for something, and to be more precise, some people. After a few minutes of searching, he found one....it was one of the men who chose to leave with the other man to plow the field. The man in black picked the door of his house and made it all the way to his bedroom without the man awaking. He watched the man sleep for a few moments, remembering how he looked at he inhaled and exhaled. Finally, the man kneeled down on one knee and prayed to God, asking God to give him the strength to fulfill God's will. He then rose and grabbed the man's head and snapped his neck before he could ever wake. The man was dead, the heretic was punished, the town was almost clean. He snapped the neck back in place and left the same way he came in, making sure not the disturb anything. The man in black continued this until all ten men were dead and then he returned to his room at the hotel without anyone knowing he had left. The next day he awake to the beating of someone on the other side of his door. He quickly dressed and opened the door where he found a young women weeping and out of control. What is wrong my child? You must come see, they are all dead, the men who left, the heretics, God has killed them. The man in black grabbed his bible and followed the young girl. She brought him to the town square where the towns people brought the bodies of the dead men. everyone in the crowd was weeping when the man in black arrived. He quickly stepped up onto the fountain again and addressed the crowd. This is truly an unfortunate event, but it is in these times we must remember that this was God's will. They were heretics, the chose to leave God and in return God punished them. God is loving and God is forgiving, but you must want to receive he love and receive his forgiveness to get such. They were not, and because of that God took their lives. So please my brothers and sister I say now, open your hearts and ask for God's forgiveness, ask for God's love. The man in black then flel to his knees and began a prayer. The entire crowd joined him and began to pray. It was that single acted that assure him that his mission was a success. That he, a prior of Neo-Macedonia, had fulfilled his duty to his Sacred Queen. Now Bethenien like Karasburg before it, was on the path of change and would soon be ready to be accepted and annexed into Neo-Macedonia. The priory of Neo-Macedonia until now had existed in isolation and in secret. It was created by Cardinal Tilius with order from Sacred Queen Chloe shortly after the sisterhood of Mary. The priory had one specific purpose, to bring the word of God to the masses by any means necessary. From the outside the priory looked the same as the Sisterhood did. Young men joined the priory and were taught the word of God. However, where the sisterhood taught by example, the Priory taught by conditioning. Young men were slowly stripped of everything the priory saw as evil and in it's place they put holy scriptures. They conditioned the body as well as the mind by putting priors through a rigorous "boot camp" lifestyle where they were taught to be excellent combat soldiers and assassins. The end result was what the Primate of Neo-Macedonia saw as the perfect religious citizen and soldier. The word of God was the only thing they had on their mind and they were completely loyal to God, the Pope, their Sacred Queen, and Cardinal who headed them. They would do exactly what they were told without question and would do it was perfect precision. |

I commend the policy of the Neo-Macedonian Queendom in seeking to gain more souls for the Holy Mother Church and God, bringing them back from the Devil into the bosom of the Church. Pope Emmanuel III |

At it had been a week since the prior of Neo-Macedonia had been sent to old Namibia to start the conversion process. He was now home, walking down the long marble hallway that was dimly lite by the sun which was now high over head. His priest uniform was a little tattered from his travel but as he walked he slowly brushed it off and re positioned his hat. He came to two large oak doors and knocked. Al elder voice from inside demanded he enter and so he did. At the other end of the room was a small ornate desk and behind it sat the Cardinal Tilius. The man approached the desk and removed his hate. As he ran his fingers threw his hair he bent down on one knee. Ahh my child you have returned, I assume with good news? asked the Cardinal As you commanded me and as God guided me, I have show the heretics the light. They are now willing to except God for what he is, and a re ready to join the ranks of the other devout Catholics of Neo-Macedonia. Good, good my child you have fulfilled your duty to not only this kingdom, but also the Holy Mother Church as well. You'll be glad to know that your Pope has had nothing but good remarks for your service here. (OOC: I'm going to treat the Pope's remark as a telegram sent to the Cardinal after receiving word from him about the Priory) The man smiled a bit, pleased that he had served his Kingdom and church well. To know that the Pope has sent good remarks only reaffirmed his faith and obedience to the Kingdom and the Church. I will send word our Sacred Queen that the people are ready, She will begin the annexation immediately. Now go back to the Priory until I call for you again. The man bowed and then left the room. ........................................................................ NMN: Neo-Macedonia News Today the Sacred Queen announced that Neo-Macedonia is answer the call of the Faith. She remarked that over the past week, the people of the former nation of Namibia which borders Neo-Macedonia have collectively began to send requests to the Sacred Queen for her to consider their cities and towns for annexation. It seems that the people have begun to show a growing interest in the Catholic faith and feel that the only way to be one with the faith and church, it to hail under a flag which is obedient to the church itself. The Sacred Queen had this to say about the request: As servants to God, who are we to turn down such a request. I have already orders soldiers to the border, and they will soon make their way to the towns which have requested annexations. Once we've taken into account each of the cities, and their turn devoutness to the faith, we will begin the annexation process. The Kingdom as a whole seems to be looking forward to the addition of the people which seem so willing to serve the church. Proposed Annexation: Posted Image |
