OOC: I have no idea how to build a navy. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'd like to buy some ships from other nations and corporations if anyone is willing to sell them to me. IC: PRIVATE & SECURE TELEGRAM TO: All Baghdad Pact Nations FROM: The Government of Wadj Due to our new territorial expansions, it has become evident to us that Wadj requires a navy as part of its armed forces. However, this will take time, and the defense of Egypt is crucial to the Baghdad Pact in order to retain control of the Suez Canal. Therefore, we wish to request assistance in the defense of Egypt and the Suez Canal until such time as our navy is prepared enough to defend Egypt without outside assistance. We thank you for your assistance in this matter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Associated Press. Port Said, Egyptian Wadj. On a visit to Port Said in the newly acquired Egyptian territories of Wadj today, Sultan Ibrahim announced that Wadj, for the first time in its history, would begin the construction of a navy. The Wadji government has approved the construction of ten destroyers, two AEGIS cruisers, and one aircraft carrier. Though the Navy will start out quite small, the Sultan has promised that with time it will grow to be a force to be reckoned with. Since the war with Scythirus began, the improvement of the military has been a top priority for Wadj. The Wadji government is also said to be interested in purchasing already constructed ships for use in the new navy. |

OOC: Al Araam has warship constrction facilities at Busheshr and Masheshr on the northern tip of the Persian Gulf that could build you a navy. Also, you can look at Patrua's "How to make a military manual" for a good beginning explanation of how to go about creating a navy. As for watching over the Suez Canal, Al Araam has the recently constructed Mediterranian Sea Fleet that will be bound for ports in the Resplendent Dawn that could take over guard duty of the Suez until Wadj has time to construct a navy. It's right on the way anyway. |

I have posted some naval info you can use if you like on my military thread...it is in the African thread though. Also, here is a good site for some naval info NAVIES. Hope it helps a bit. You can also use the spread sheet Patrua left on some of the How to Make a Military threads, I use it to base my general military capabilities. |
