Neo-Macedonia will send a few sisters from the Sisterhood of Mary as respentatives. We have always shared good ties with the nation of Mwanza Jamhuri and hope to continue these ties through to the future. |

President Reza Famika paced around the convention center. He was quite nervous, as this is his first major world event he will be hosting. He had no reason to be, however. Outside, the sun shone, and it was warm, but not hot. The flowering trees across the street at the Maisha Botanical Gardens were just starting to bloom. It was still light outside, so there was not much activity going on outside. However, come nightfall, the streets would come alive. Inside, the final preparations were being made. He had arrived before sunrise to oversee the decoration process. Green and white ribbons graced the convention center hallways, and colorful streamers hung from the ceiling. Inside the kitchen, cooks scurried to finish their dishes, which included traditional Pithian, Anakolan, and Stanish dishes, such as sweet cassava fries, pomokëfa (a curried beef dish), and mango slurry. He went outside to get some fresh air, and to see if any guests arrived. He was followed by his wife, Shahara, as well as former Governing Council members Palina Be'krela Gulendo, Nabolu Gapoë, Miremo Lére, and Vishnu Dhani. He had hoped that their presence would ease the transition between nations. Then, the guests started to arrive. |

Ambassador Narus arrived rather early, stepping out of a white limo with Norightsian flags streaming out behind it. He was wearing a blue pinstripe suit with a carnation pinned to the chest pocket. A dark fedora graced his head, which was more or less six feet, three inches off the earth. He removed the hat to bow respectfully to the Presidential Family, revealing a head of curly auburn hair. He replaced the hat, and shook the President's hand. He kissed the first lady on both cheeks, and proceeded inside. |

.The Neo-Macedonian limo was the next to arrive. The two sisters sent by the Sacred Queen were sister April, and Sister June. They had arrived in the country via the private base which Neo-Macedonia operates within Mwanza Jamhuri and then took the limo to the convention center. After the two Neo-Macedonian guards stepped out, the two sisters followed. They were both dressed in the traditional white gown with a small tiara on their heads holding in place the thick veils which covered their faces. Rosaries in hand, they glided up the stairs and greeted the President and his family. They gave gracious remarks on how beautiful the city looked as well as the convention center and then entered to join the other delegates inside |

After the delegations arrived, the President decided to take them down to the main hall. A giant round table with white sheets and a cornucopia was set up in the hall, and he invited the delegates to sit down. In addition to Ambassador Narus and Sisters April and June, Stephanie Chu and Eli Wagner had been sent from Negative Matter and Good Cartesia. President Reza Famika decided to exchange pleasantries with all the delegates. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, the situation was one of chaos. The chefs had underestimated the amount of time it would take to cook all of their food, and were now in a panic to get things done. Meanwhile, somebody put a basket of grapes in the microwave, and somebody else, thinking the microwave was empty, put another dish in and started the microwave up. The grapes exploded in a blast of plasma, and the wooden basket caught on fire, filling the kitchen with smoke. The President, the Mwanzans, and the rest of the guests, oblivious to the events transpiring in the kitchen, continued to converse. Dr. Famika felt quite good at that time, thinking everything was going smoothly. He was with the Norightsian delegation at that time, proposing a closer alliance between their two nations. Earlier, he had proposed a free trade sphere consisting of Mwanza Jamhuri and Neo-Macedonia, and was awaiting their response. |

Ambassador Narus was nursing a cola (Norightsia is a mostly "dry" country, which relies on soda to replace alchohol) and listening attentively to the President as he spoke of a close alliance between Mwanza Jamhuri and Norightsia. He was rather impassive, but chuckled at the President's jokes from time to time. A stoic, a stereotypical Norightsian. All Norightsian ambassadors were more or less like him. "May I remind you, Mr. President, that such an alliance was proposed by the Colonial Authority quite a while ago, before the war here. However, needless to say, the Emperor was somewhat disappointed when the old Very Pithy Stanistan administration declined the offer to join the Holy League, and became more...religiously ambivalent. Now, don't forget that Norightsia has been on good terms with your administration, and don't think that we are in some way insulting you or your predessesors, on the contrary, we desire to maintain mutually profitable trade relations with your nation, because we are just doing what His Holiness asks of good Catholic nations." Dr. Famika sighed ruefully. He didn't see how a league that constricted its members so could be good for anyone but the Pope. However, it was useless arguing with one of these gents, they were just representatives of the real machine. He did however manage to convince him to bring up an initiative that would bring a lot more Norightsian trade to Mwanza Jamhuri. He had estimated that perhaps he could increase his trade surplus by 15% or more. And there was always later that night, after more guests had arrived... |

The sacred sisters listen to the good president as he proposed a much loser relationship between their two nations which would consist of free trade. They took in his words carefully before they gave their answer. We as always we've have good relations with your nations said April An we have no reason not to continue trade with you said June So I believe that free trade between our two nations would be something that our Sacred Queen will be interested in replied April. Of course you will allow us to talk to the Sacred Queen first and then contact you again on the matter? asked June A littel dizzy from the conversation the President agreed and was glad to see that Neo-Macedonia may be interested in such a trade agreement. Pleased with how the conversation, he excused his self to go speak in the Norightsian Ambassador. The two sister went on to the refreshment table to get somethng to drink. |

As President Famika was talking to the two Sisters, one of the cooks came into the room and said that the food was not ready yet, and asked him if he could stall. He simply nodded, and after a few moments, went up to the stage. He began to speak. "Friends, we gather here on this joyous occasion to celebrate the beginning of the spring planting season and to hope for a great harvest to come. That is the traditional reason why we celebrate the Spring Festival. However, right now, we are gathered here to do more than that. We are here to celebrate the links of friendship that bind our nations together, transcending race, nationality, religion, and politics. I would like to thank all of you for coming here tonight, and I would like to let all of you know that it means a lot for myself and my nation to have friends like you. And with that, I leave you with two more words. Isanët gutad!" And with that, the kitchen doors opened, and waiters came out carrying various dishes. |
