"Hello, this is Marc Stevens with QNS news, in Quaon Delta. Today, standing Prime Minister of Quaon Delta, Mathew Jackson, has scheduled a press conference. Now, he has said he is considering...no that, can't be right...excuse me, ladies and gentelmen, he's said that Quaon Delta will...well, let's let him tell you." The camera focuses on an average looking white male in a buisness suit. It is apparent that this is PM Mathew Jackson. "Today, I speak of a corrupt body. This body twists laws, opresses its people, and leaves its colonies to rot. I speak of the Free Empire of Quaon. Today, after a vote in senate, Quaon Delta will be leaving the Union of the Free Empire of Quaon. I will lose the title of Prime MInister and take the title of President. Our children will be taught morals in school, not the new age insanity that the Quaonion government would have us teach. Abortion will be define as murder once more. Those who go against nature will be punished. Religion will be taught in all schools. "Today, the Republic of Quaon Delta becomes its own state. Today, the tyranny of Quaon forever leaves us. Today, a new age of glory begins." "Yes, you heard it right," said Marc Stevens. "Quaon Delta has left the Union. We will have more details as the emerge." |

Our Government believes it is of the utmost importance that peace and stability be always preserved thoroughly and thoughtfully throughout our world. However, in this apparent case, it is indeed unfortunate to see a once democratic and open society plunge into darkness. We hope Quaon would think twice of its actions and we would like to say that making religion compulsory could stir unnecessarily religious minorities between themselves. We appeal to respect and tolerance between all the different components of the Quaonian society and hope that the new president will not resort to all-out independence. OOC: Well, if this was a more literal interpertation of the world, they would be Protestant, because in the real world the Catholics have shown a liberallness towards many issues. However, in the game, the Catholics are conservative, so, yes, they are Catholic. IC: "Hello, this is Marc Stevens with QNS International News. Today, in a statement before the press, the Prime Minister of Quaon, Quin Orbor, was quoted as saying the following." "We of the Free Empire of Quaon are saddened by this leaving of the Union. We would like to open up diplomatic ties with the Quaon Delta. We wish to negoitiate a return to the Union in exchange for certain changes to the ruling structure. However, we do not recongize Quaon Delta as a soverign nation, and will take her back if we are forced to." |

You are thinking American/British/Canadian/Australian Catholics. Catholics in a Protestant majority. They are the worst Catholics they are. The Catholics in South America, Africa, Southern Europe, etc. are the most conservative Christian denomination in the world. |

Exactly Norightsia. Quaon, your experience of Catholics is of American Catholics. They do not, in any way, represent the general attitude of the Catholic Church as a whole (except a tiny minority such as Mel Gibson). |
