Nagian News Network This, is NNN. Reporting live from Israel where General Jett Fango is making an address from the United Nations... sorry, I've just been informed he is making the address from the former United Nations building in Jerusalem. *Cut to the United Nation's building established by Nag Ehgoeg. The camera pan's over number of soliders decked out in the Nagian Special Forces Armour (NSFA) who seem to be fortifying the building. A tall man, of Arabic desent is standing infront of the new Nagian Flag. He is wearing a new design of Nagian Armour, previously unseen..* "For longer than some would care to mention, Nag Ehgoeg has kept Jerusalem safe. It is we who stepped in to stop this 'Holy' City falling into the wrong hands. It is we who rebuilt in wake of those who would despoil it. It is we who have defended the city while wars where waged in it's name. It is we who shepparded the City through the Red Death. "And it is we who will continue to keep the city. "The United Nations as a body have done nothing to protect the City thus far, and we will not simply hand over the City to those who can not be trusted with this site. Thus we are coming to an agreement with the Trilateral Commission to assure the Cities independence from aggressive military pacts seeking to steal the City from it's rightful guardians." **** OOC: Not entirely sure what's going to happen here. If the UN (or Holy League, or indeed any other faction) wants to fight for it things could get interesting. Otherwise this is going to be used for hashing out the Commission's annexation of the UN sector of Israel (pending mapmaker approval). |

The Resplendent Dawn is greatly opposed to this action. As a member of the United Nations, we demand that Nag Eghoeg turn this sector over to the United Nations, who hold the legal title to this land. We call on the other nations of the United Nations to reject this blatant disregard for international law. Furthermore, the UN sector of Palestine is contiguous with the Resplendent Dawn. As Nag Eghoeg is currently involved in setting up a pact whose express intention opposes the Dawn and her allies, we will treat a continued Nagian presence in this area as a hostile act against the Resplendent Dawn. Furthermore it is somewhat odd that Nag Eghoeg is coming to an agreement with the Trilateral Commission to "protect" the city of Jerusalem. The Trilateral Commission is known for the infamous St. James Day Massacre in Jerusalem, and is only nation that has ever acted hostily against the Holy City. We demand that Nag Eghoeg and the Trilateral Commission make clear their intent in this matter, instead of continuing to hide behind further obfuscations. OOC: Trying to stay a step ahead Nag? |

OOC: Not at all, it was TC's idea :P **** Offical Press Release: "The Resplendant Dawn is welcome to think whatever it likes. The referals to a pact against them is nothing more than slanderous propoganda, as our intensions are merely to form an alliance to discourage future war. "Furthermore, the Trilateral Commission's past actions merely demonstrate how they and Nag Ehgoeg have been the only nations capable of securing the City, with all other attempts failing horribly. "Nag Ehgoeg will continue to keep the Commission in check, without the aid of the United Nations, as it has done so single handedly thus far." |

Nag Ehgoeg has no right to seize the city of Jerusalem. They voided their right to occupy it when they removed themselves from the United Nations. As a member of the United Nations, we demand that they vacate the area immediately. Nag Ehgoeg has shown itself to be a rogue nation. On order to be accpted back into the Middle Eastern community, they must abide by international law and vacate Jerusalem immediately. --Sultan Ibrahim of Wadj |

Actually it's both :) **** "Where was Wadj when the city requested that UN lend aid? Where was Wadj when the city was ravaged by war and plauge? "Nag Ehgoeg has been here, protecting and serving the people. Nagian citizens have been born here. Jursalem is pratically a part of Nag Ehgoeg. When we left the UN, so did they. "We will not bow to this international terrorism. The City shall remain with us, and open to the international community at large. No changes in the day to day running of Jursalem will take place. "Should you aggress against us, you show who the rouge really state is. It is you, who shall abide to international law." |

Despite Nag Eghoeg's attempts at confustion, international law is clear. The area around Jerusalem is the United Nations designated sector. Nag Eghoeg never held that place, except as UN representatives. International law demands that Nag Eghoeg surrender Jerusalem and its environs to the United Nations. Yuhannon Ibrahim |

"And Nag Ehgoeg was under defending themselves from the Commission and being ravaged by the plauge. Yet it was us, not the United Nations at large, who committed to the defence and rebuilding of the City. "The designation of this sector was determined by Nag Ehgoeg. We proposed, negotiated, and founded it. We've defended, nursed and rebuilt it. We did these things in the name of a United Nations that frankly has never existed, except as a facade for policital power, now being weilded by this Baghdad Pact - a corrupt vessel by which a military empire seeks international approval for their expansionistic invasion polices. "International law is clear, the land indeed belongs to the UN. But this is our home. We defy the United Nations which has become no more than a puppet organisation for oil barrons. "Think what is best for the City. Nag Ehgoeg has kept it peaceful and open to all. We have rebuilt and done nothing but good here. Should you wish to invade, you confirm the UN is nothing but war-mongering paper pushers. "Do what is best for the peoples of the world and ceed the land to us offically. "You may have legal right, but not moral." |

The Trilateral Commission and Nag Ehgoeg are pleased to announce the formation of the Jerusalem Committee, an international alliance with the purpose of administrating the UN Mandate in central Israel, including the holy city of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Committee will secure this area of land until further notice. The Jerusalem Committee's members are Nag Ehgoeg and the Trilateral Commission, and we appreciate advice and input from other nations, especially UN nations. The borders have been sealed shut and no foreigners are permitted to enter the UN mandate without permission from the Jerusalem Committee. However, border security protocols remain the same and international visitors are welcome to visit as long as they do not pose a security threat. Furthoremore, we are currently negotiating terms for UN inspectors and UN personnel to assist the Committee in administering the land, so that it may be more effectively governed. ******** The governance of Israel will remain basically the same, and will enjoy continuity from the UN Mandate to the Jerusalem Committee administration. There is widespread fredom of speech and freedom of religion. Order will be maintained by joint Nagian-TC police and military forces. At the moment, Trilateral Commission soldiers are entering the UN Mandate territory to join the already-present Nag Ehgoegian soldiers. Military projects such as army bases, naval bases, and defense perimeters will be constructed as soon as possible, with cooperation between the Nag Ehgoeg and Trilateral Commission. There has been a flurry of international criticism against this seizure of power in Jerusalem by Nag and TC. TC official John Kellermann responds to the charges, "As always, the Trilateral Commission makes its motives clear. The Trilteral Commission is surrounded by many potential security threats, most notably the Baghdad Pact power bloc whose unbalanced power may destabilize our own country, our region, and possibly the entire world. In light of geopolitical realities, we have decided to swiftly secure tenable, defensible military borders and territory. Our plan for Jerusalem will increase the security of our nation, the seciruty of Nag Ehgoeg, and the security of the world at large" |

Nag Ehgoeg thanks our ally in this matter for this clear and consice statement of aims, clarifing our stance on the city. We do, however, continue to state that the United Nations should offically recognise Jursalem as part of the Commission, and accept the Commities right to admisinster the formor UN mandate. **** OOC: Wow... Nag Ehgoeg is the bad cop for a change! |

The Trilateral commission welcomes co-sovereignty over this territory by Nag Ehgoeg, for an indefinite period of time, considering that many Nagian nationals have always lived in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas. |

I demand that either Nag Ehgoeg returns to the UN or they hand over control of their sector of Jersualem over to the UN. This breaks all agreements which were made when the issue of the Holy City first came up. Pope Emmanuel III |

~Private Telegram~ To: Pope Emmanuel III From: ERA Wadj - United Nations Delegate, Baghdad Pact member Resplendent Dawn - United Nations member, BP Member Quaon - United Nations Delegate, BP member Lambda League - UN member, BP member Ammochostos - UN member, BP member Only two members of the BP are non-UN nations, one of which being Paradise. We will not surrender the Holy City unto a military alliance in the name of international law. They have military might, polical might and economic might. We will not hand them control of religion as well. Should the United Nations take control of the City their power will be absolute. The biggest threat to the Pact is the Holy League, as it is the only comperable alliance. Handing over the City to the Pact does not harm Nag Ehgoeg in the slightest - we have what we desire. It will however, strengthen them immeasurably while crippling the Holy League. We regret that we have to work with the Commission in this matter, rather than the Holy League - but remember it is you who have streched our relations. Nag Ehgoeg is not a member of the Holy League by your mandates, and thus will not be governed by your anti-cloning mandate. We urge you to support our control of the City. Should you do so, we of Nag Ehgoeg will ensure that Genisis City will always have access to the Holy Land. We will not, under any circumstances, allow the City to fall into the hands of a Muslim dominated military alliance. And I would have thought the Church would feel the same way. |

Don't forget, Paradise's colony, Neo Paradise, is the South American UN Delegate. Also while a preponderance of Pact nations are UN nations, the converse can hardly be said. |
