President Kumal Harinandansingh would officially like to apply to join the Baghdad Pact. He hopes involvement in such an interestingly drawn organization will help assure allies in the Middle East, as the region is complementary to greater India and so close, and as to ensure a supply of oil, a resource scarce in our nation.

The Resplendent Dawn would like to reopen the vote on Proposition 1, ceding control of the Suez Canal to the United Nations. As you all know, the Papacy has been a large proponent of our accepting this proposition. Furthermore, cooperation with the Papacy has strong benefits. The Pope has agreed to do everything in his power to return Jerusalem to the United Nations, if will give the Canal to the United Nations. I think this is a good deal, as the Pope has a large sphere of influence, and because having Nag Eghoeg, a nation who is working against us, in our area is dangerous.

I ask you all to please reconsider this proposition.

Also, I think that we should work to get Ammochostos elected regional delegate in Asia. I just realized that Ammochostos was in the UN!

I disagree. The Baghdad Pact is in its early formation. Giving land to another pact would weaken this pact. We must hold onto the land.

O.O.C.: The Suez canal is technically a canal, not a land ;)

This is a sad day. Surely we should surrender the canal in the interests of peace!

I propose we set the terms of the Suez canal occupation, so the rest of the World can see our good faith.

I'd like to propose to open the canal for all non-military ships from all nations over the World.
