Here's an idea, it doesn't prevent impersonation (which is one of my biggest concerns) and it only works for firefox users but Quick Chat adds a chat room to whatever website you're surfing.

So dowload, and log in. :)

How do you install it? Can it be used on the Yahoo browser? I think it's the same thing as firefox, but I'm not sure.

Well, since it's a browser-specific plugin...

But I think that this Yahoo browser is the same thing but with a different name. It looks just like Firefox, and it acts like it.

I have a tools menu, but it only has "online protection", "parental controls", "anti-spy", "pop-up blocker", "shortcuts", "internet options", and "browser options" in it.

Then it doesn't sound like you have extensions on your browser.

Do me a favor and tell me what it says when you go to the help menu and select the "about" option. If you could post a screenshot of that screen it would be perfect.

What is the advantage of Firefox over IE?? If there isn't one, why bother?

Wadj, I am SBC too, and you can use SBC Yahoo Browser, of standard IE. I go back and forth between them all the time, since I am not a big fan of the SBC version.

Adblock - a plugin which allows you to control what on a page is blocked.
Increased security.
Not IE.
Tabbed browsing - so you don't have thirty thousand windows open at once.
Fully customisable.

And probably a lot more, but that's what converted me.

I don't think you realise what an advantagem"fully customisable" is.

Every tool you could ever want (well everything I've ever wanted) to improve your internet experience is available as a firefox plug-in.

Firefox, feature wise, is about the same as every other browser (can't speak for Oprea, but IE now has tabbed browsing, and coding wise it's been as "secure" as FF for a while [the only reason FF is "more" secure is that more people code to exploit IE specific feaures]).

The reason I use firefox is that it's simple and quick to use, and simple to download more functions to your browser. IE might have tabs, but they're so tricky to use it's better to just have different windows. IE might be as secure, but IE is the castle with swarms of barbarians outside trying to break in, where as the firefox castle is in a quite little mountain range.

What about ads?

You want a popup blocker? You got it.

Yeah. I converted when IE wasn't shibby.

I also converted before IE decided to shape up security wise and steal tabs from Firefox.

However I like to keep tabs on all the browsers to make sure that I'm only using the best.
