Lol, wahtever. IC: The Emperor greeted the God-King respectfully and welcomed him back to the Palace. The richly dressed man and his huge entourage made themselves a home inside. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Emperor gladly recepted the South American monks. In flawless Spanish, he praised their devotio to God and communicated his thankfullness attheir arrival. He got a diplomat from the Mexican embassy to show the men around. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Camizuan diplomat was greeted along with the Emperor's congratulations on the Doctor's sucess in the polls. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Gallian representative was shown courtesy, although the Emperor was a litle wary of the European Branch of the Poitiers Pact's only representative. Still, the man was quickly emersed with the hobnobbing VIPs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Dawnsian envoy was greeted kindly, and the Emperor wished him a pleasent stay. He also said he was looking forward to meeting the Emperor if he arrived. The Middle Easterner quickly spotted fellow Orthodox Amazonians, and went over to chat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another of the Emperor's best friends, the Grand Duke of Kasnyia, was recieved joyously. After relating stories from the good old days before Shoa's betrayal and the DSC, the Kasnyian made his way in. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shing Tishomi was after all the Emperor's "nephew", so he was granted the respect of the Praetorians guarding the ball. However, only two armed men were allowed to accomapny him inside, for security reasons of course. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The representative of the Sisterhood of Mary was accorded the respect that only Catholic dignitaries got in Norightsia. It was reverent, and delighted to beof service. After failing to look upon her, the Emperor commented on the strange new developments out of her and and after a short converstaion, allowed her in. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Harumfians were greeted with the pomp that a Catholichead of state deserved. They walked in after a short greeting and found their South African counter-parts. A brisk theological discussion soon broke out. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The guest from Atlantis Primary was greeted with friendly unfamiliarity. Although this nation was an ally, the Emperor knew very little about it and was curious to ask the man about his home later. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Lambda League's envoy was greeted with some curiosity, indeed, he was curiously dressed. But the Emperor accepted the man's business card graciously and allowed him to go in, where he soon ended up at the bar, where he struck a converstaion with President Gray. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Laab was greeted warmly despite his status as an enemy of Norightsia, and the fact he had publicly attacked Norightsia verbally before. He was shown into the depths of the Palace to borrow one of the Emperor's fine suits, but he instead decided on a nondescript coat a servant was wearing, much to the young man's dismay. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Cardinal Morreo enjoyed the reverent respect of the attending Norightsians as he spoke to the Catholic Emperor Jodo. He maintained his hankerchief mask, but was generally calmed by the beautiful music and friendly people. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Chironian Emperor was recieved respectfully. The Emperor wanted to get to know his fellow AU nation head of state, but was forced to stay outside to greet more guests. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Quanonian envoy wasted no time greeting their host and making it inside. They were happy to have the chance to find new trade partners out in Asia. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kurtz's valuable gift was gratefully accepted by the Emperor. It was a thing of beauty, and quite pricey to be sure. GQ had a servant take it up to his study. OOC: That's eveybody, butSaber, who got his own post! |

Saber looked at the Pascoag agent for a long time, then he spoke, "I am an old man, near my death, and death does not concern me other than that it will be a blessing. My wife is also old, and very devoted. You are a young man, so let me give you some advise. Marry a Carmalite Nun! They are sworn to silence, devoted to work, and perform all dutues when needed. A better wife can not be found. But I digress, it is my age, I think. I do not fear assassins anymore, but I fear for my son. It was a mistake to bring him, but, he insisted." "Perhaps you can do me a favor, and quietly remove him from the party and stealth him to safety? I myself, will face these leaders with my wife." "But, Dr......" said the agent. "No "buts". I am too weak to fight, to old to be a threat, and my mind isn't strong enough for debate, so, please, do as I asked. I ran from these very people once, and I will not run again." With that, the agent escorted Saber back to the reception. OOC: Now, which of the attendees will violate the Laws of Hospitality and hastle Saber? I am curious to find out!! |

OOC: GQ would probably let him anyway, although I will pull another little gimmick instead. IC: The "Pascoagan" led Saber back to the dancefloor, where his family was now watching the Duke of Kasnyia and his wife dance. The man pulled out Saber's chair and let him sit. The old man quietly whispered to his wife, as the agent glanced about trying to look nervous. Without a word, Saber's wife forced the boy to go with the stranger. At the entrance, a couple of guards tried to stop him, but he flashed them a badge and kept walking. The boy, afraid to get lost without his family, kept pace with the tall man. They went around the front of the Palace and into the carpark. An old American import was waiting with the engine running. The agent through the boy in the car and the driver sped off. The man returned to the ball to assure Saber that the boy was safe in the Pascoagan Embassy, waiting to be picked up. Of course, Saber didn't know that there was no Pascoagan Embassy in Velorya. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone had already arrived, and the Emperor had returned to the party. After dancing with his wife; sharing a drink with the Raja, the Grand Duke, and Emperor Jodo; and graciously accepting compliments on the infants; he was pulled aside by the Cardinal Morreo. "What is the heretic doing here!?" the Cardinal demanded viciously "Honestly your grace, I don't know." "Was he invited?" "Of course not. No one was invited specifically. All were welcome." "Whose foolish idea was that?" "My own. Its a custom..." "Look, the Pope was scheduled to arrive to bless the bambinos, but what can I possibly tell him now that the very air has been defiled by that...that..." "Don't worry, your Grace. I have a plan." "A plan?" "I'm going to...remove Saber. I'm already working on..." With that, the "Pascoagan" trotted over and whispered in the Emperor's ear. The Cardinal tapped his fot impatiently on the hardwood as he waited for a reply. The Emperor grinned as the man left, vexing Morreo even more. "What was that?" he commanded an answer "It would appear as if a developmen has been made. My agents have kidnapped Saber's boy." The Cardinal's eyes watered with joy. "You're not serious! His holiness will be so pleased..." "And I shall give you partial credit for the event too, your Grace." "Of course. I am glad that could be worked out. I shall have only good words to say to His Holiness. But what of Saber?" "They should be getting around to it shortly..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saber was enjoying the feeling of absolute safety he fealt even in the second-most Catholic nation on Earth, when a policeman shoved his through the crowd to Saber. The old leader was perplexed, wondering if they meant to arrest him. The man looked at a clipboard and nodded to himself. He then addresed Saber... "Mister..." He looked at the board again "Saber? Mister Saber? Saber nodded "Yeah. I'm Sgt. Calpus. Is this your boy? The policeman showed Saber the sheet of paper. On it was a picture of Saber's son, who looked quite scared. "Yes, he is my son." "OK, good. He ID'd you. He's actually down at the station. We pulled over a Pascoagan Embassy staff car for speeding down the block. Inside was a convicted child molester. He had your boy and a Pascoag Embassy staffer tied and gagged in the back. Apparently he car-jacked the embassy worker and was trying to take the boy home and rape him. The staffer claimed he was ordered to bring the boy to the Pascoag embassy. The boy confirmed. By law, you have to go down to the station and ID him, along with any other family member traveling with you..." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Antonio Quintilianus was sitting alone at the bar, watching his brother Varus dance with his wife, the Queen of Kamchattka. The last born, and the last married. If at all. His oldest brother, Galerius, hadn't ever approved of any of his prospective girlfriends. So he was left alone on the big night, with both brothers married. One even had kids. As he was moping about, he noticed that someone had come to sit down beside him. A woman, he could tell by her scent. A rather elegant perfume, Catholic European to be exact. When she ordered his suspicion was confirmed. She had a pretty voice, delicate and melodius. He fealt her nudge him. He turned wearily and looked her up and down. She couldn't have been his age yet, she didn't look like she was out of her teens. She was really pretty though, and he couldn't help staring. He ran his fingers through his dark hair, trying to highlight his equestrian features. "Yeah?" She smiled, prettier than ever. A rosy blush accented her cheeks. "Well, you see..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Galatea Marcomanus, the Emperor's cousin and princess of Norightsia, was jus plain bored. She had had to blow off a date for this? It was true, she wasn't in her teens anymore, but she was still one of the most beautiful women in Norightsia, at least by her reconings. She was a celebrity too. Usually it was good to have a famous cousin. But this party was really boring. It was formal, just how Galerius, and apparently all other world rulers, liked it. They were doing a waltz now, and almost everybody was dancing. She saw her cousin talking to the cardinal from Catholic Europe, and his wife briskly instructing a servant about her babies, but other than that, it looked like everybody was dancing. Then she spied a man sitting by himself, sprawled out in an elegant armchair. He was dressed like a general, or like the old dictators in Africa who wore the uniforms even though then never served. His uniform was far to neat, and far too glistening with medals to be someone in an entourage. She walked over casually, so as not to giver herself away. Before long she was in the armchair next to his, covertly spying on him. At one point, when he appeared particularly lost in thought, she made her move. "Aren't you gonna to dance?" She apparently surprised him, and he shook his head ruefully. "No." he replied, "I've no one to dance with. Lord be praised, she thought. "Then may I have this dance?" |

OOC: Well, my original thought was to have him open private discussions of reconciling the Church. People can get very conservitive in their old age, and start thinking about the wrongs they might have committed in their lives. And he is tired of excile, and quite frankly, his usefulness for RP is passed. Anyway, if you are going to kill him, it should be done by the inquisition, demanding his confession to herasy. I don't know how you go about killing a Carmalite nun, but I was the son alive, even if you keep him in a high tower somewhere for the rest of his life. |

He can be extradited to Catholic Europe. There I will execute him for heresy (by burning of course). I will try the nun on suspicion of heresy and for breaking her vows of celibacy. She will then be burned at the stake. The son can remain in Norightsia if you want. Perhaps the Emperor will be lenient on him for his young age. |

It is not up to Norightsia. The Cardinal knows that they are there. He will tell the Pope if nothing is done to them. Therefore, it is up to me. That is a realistic turn of events. Now, Norightsia, could indeed decide to do nothing but that will definetly make him fall foul of the Pope like never before. Allowing the leader os a schismatic movement to wander freely in and out is to be a schismatic and heretic oneself. |

OOC: I'll extradite Saber and the nun to Catholic Europe. Kill them if you wish, although I had intended to kill them myself. As for the boy, I think that he is better alive, but secret. Just like the NeoRoman boys, we can use him as a trump card later on. |

Well, as Harumf hasn't responded for Saber, I'll take that as a yes. IC: Saber and his wife followed the man outside. No one stopped them and they were not missed. The trap was sprung out by the police cruiser. The "cop" had the couple stand in front of the cruiser while he "asked a few questions". There is a camera mounted on the front of every cruiser that transmits directly to the station. The tape, later used as evidence, showed a man in the unform of a Tek"Rema guardsman, and wearing a plastic cartoon cariacture mask of the Emperor, of the sort common in the Eastern Empire. He snuck up behind the cop and pistol whipped him hard. The policeman fell over and the man leveled his gun. Screaming, "There is no God but the Soveriegn!" in Dynastian, he fired a shot into the nun. She screamed and crumpled to the ground. He then whipped out a Bashir knife, and crossing himself backwards, stabbed Saber in the heart. Saber cried out loudly, and a shot is heard from somewhere offscreen. The Dynastian crumples, grabbing his abdomen, which cannot be seen. Then, a man in a suit runs over, and seeing the camera, shoots it with a revolver. |
