OOC: I have finally remembered to write this up! IC: In a opulent ceremony at the St. John Chrysostom Cathedral of Adowa, South Africa, Cardinal Emperor Maurice I has signed a treaty with Neo-Macedonia finalizing the borders of the two nations. This officially cedes a portion of western South African terrotory to Neo-Macedonia, and settles a boundary dispute that has dated to the First South African War, more than ___ years ago. Cardinal Emperor Maurice met with Queen Chloe's representative, Cardinal Laurence Tilius, and the two solemnly signed the document, printed in the Latin language and with 100,000 words that included plenty of theological statements and Biblical commentaries. The document was co-written by Maurice and Laurence Tilius, and their assistants. The main points were that the boundary has been officially settled along the line of de facto Neo-Macedonian occupation, and South Africa and Neo-Macedonia will forever bury their animosities and will work together to spread the Catholic religion around the world. After the signing ceremony which was attended by represntatives throughout the Catholic world, Emperor Maurice released a cage of doves to symbolize peace, and then he officially dedicated the Treaty to the patron saint of that day, St. Methodius. Celebrations were held throughut the nation, and enormous painted icons of St. Methodius, St. Pope Emmanuel, and the Virgin Mary were paraded in town squares everywhere. Copies of the treaty were also posted at town centers for all to see. |

The Mother of Neo-Macedonia is so pleased to see that the signing to the Treaty was a success and felt so honored that the occupied zone was left to Neo-Macedonia. She stated that for far too long our nation stated at each other's necks and now with the treaty in place peace can now reign between our two nations and forever rule over us. Plans for development of the new area of Neo-Macedonia will be released by the end of the week. -The Sisterhood of Mary On behalf of the Mother of Neo-Macedonia Sacred Queen Chloe |
