They will come up with a third serie, probably preceded by two movies. That's not that bad.

It had to end eventually anyway...

Yeah and it'll be interesting to see what they come up with. As for the movies, I'm looking foward to The Ark of Truth however Continuum I fear will be a disappointment but we'll see.

An yes I knew it had to end sometime, but they're like ending it in the middle of a battle for goodness sakes. I mena as far as I can tell the Ori won't even be completely delt with by the time the series ends.

But hey at least I can by all the seasons on DVD and relive the adventures over, and over, and over again

Ok, so I watched the series premeres of both SG1 and Atlantis.

SG1, I liked it although I had wished I hadn't read the wiki page on it because knowing what's going to happen takes the fun out it. I still know in the end the series is going to let me down, as it did Nag already but at least I'll have fun before the end.

Atlantis, Well it pissed me off and made me happy all at the same time. I was pissed that they did nothing with the Ancients from the last season. Are we to assume the replicators killed them off? if so wtf...can't we at least have one Ancient on our side pleeeeeeese <_< . On the other hand, the replicators did give up ZPMs for the city, and with the ones in the city gone they are ours now :D Of course watch them do something incredibly stupid and lose them just like they lost the ancient war ship.

No, only SG1.

They were playing Atlantis while I was at work so I missed every episode in the season. I ten missed half of SG1 (caught the final though, which is all that matters).

Hey guys, what's the Ninth Chevron for?

My sources suggest "dimension", functioning the stargate in a similiar way to the quatum mirror (and thus forming the basis of the Universe premise) or possibly (though less likely) to be "time" (as we already know stargates may function as time machines but it's believed the series will be set present day).

But I have no reliable intel as of yet.

I always forget there are actually ninth instead of eight. Hmm, well you've got seven Chevrons to go across your own galaxy, the eighth is used to hop from one Galaxy to the next, so the ninth.....hmm you're guess is as good as mine, but I've heard much of the same rumors Nag has heard. However, from what I know about Stargates and their functions, it takes an incredible amount of power to function eight Chevron address (reason why they need the ZPM to get to Atlantis) so I can only assume the Ninth will take even more than what the ZPM can give or at the very least more than one ZPM...maybe three (the same number Atlantis needs to fully operate).

Weeeelll O'Neil built a makeshift power device from the core of a staff weapon... so a ZPM isn't strictly needed... a few Mrk II generators might be able to do it (well they can power a chair can't they?)... of course they've never risked it in the show... but hey... possible. Unlikely though. But still... ZPM not needed.

lol Ok, maybe "needed" was a strong word. Yes O'Neil did built to homemade power device and yes the Mrk II generators...but I'm just saying, they'll certainly have to pull something together to power that ninth Chevron.

But all that aside, I am glad that haven't (as of yet) f'ed themselves over in Atlantis and lost their ZPM... they did only leave on there right?

Uh... no. Re-watch the episode. Or read the spoiler:

The Spoiler

They hyperspaced to get to a new planet... then ran out of power. So they're drifting between solar systems with a mostly depleted ZPM with nothing but a ZPM powered shield between them and the cold vacuum of space.

The Atlantis finale.

...

Season three is the most recent series right? And First Strike (Episode 20) was the last one in the series right? (They bomb the *spoilers* so the *spoilers* send a *really cool thing with a stargate* to attack Atlantis.)

Cause I'm fairly sure that's how it ended... on a cliff hanger for season 4.

Samantha Carter is coming to Atlantis. I wonder how they will justify this with the two coming movies... Continuity is an important aspect of Stargate.

It won't necessarily mean that they happen at the same time. Samantha's arrival probably takes place after the movies.
