It's time to vote for the President of Mwanza Jamhuri! Vote for the candidate of your choice, described below. Polls will close on Thursday, February 9, at 9:30 PM. Emara Pėreata Party: New Liberal Party Ideology: Centrist, leaning liberal Ethnicity: 1/2 Pithian, 1/4 Stanish, 1/4 Punjabi Religion: Catholic Previous experience: She was a 2-term Senator from Beroan'ue Province in Very Pithy Stanistan from 1990 to 2000. Description: She promises to eradicate corruption in government, which was pervasive in both Very Pithy Stanistan and Anakolu. She wants to take steps to cut back the "pervasive capitalism" that prevailed in Very Pithy Stanistan and take more steps to protect the environment. She is one of Mwanza Jamhuri's few pro-choice politicians. Also, she has been endorsed by outgoing Interim President Palina Be'krela Gulendo. She mainly appeals to Catholics, women, and environmentalists. Malan Gera'ari Party: Orthodox Workers' Party Ideology: Socialist Ethnicity: 3/4 Anakolan, 1/4 Arab Religion: Orthodox Previous experience: He was the Vice President of Anakolu from 1994 until the end of Oklum da El'fėrina. Description: If elected, he promises to turn Mwanza Jamhuri into a socialist welfare state. He promises food, a job, education, and healthcare for all. Also, he wants to establish closer ties with non-African nations as well as African ones. He wants a more religious Mwanza Jamhuri, even including Catholics. He mainly appeals to Orthodox Christians, workers, pacifists, and the poor. Reza Famika Party: Secular Freedom Party Ideology: Libertarian Ethnicity: 1/2 Pithian, 1/2 Persian Religion: Muslim Previous experience: He was the Anakolan ambassador to Good Cartesia from 1989 to 2003. Description: He promises to repeal existing morality laws enacted in both Very Pithy Stanistan and Anakolu. He also promises equality for all people, regardless of ethnicity or religion. As a Muslim, he has faced difficulties in mainly Christian Anakolu, but has pulled through, and is widely seen as a success story. He mainly appeals to ethnic and religious minorities, business leaders, and secularists. |

The government of South Africa does not support any of these candidates. In particular, Cardinal Emperor Maurice I calls for the "Catholic" Emara Pėreata to reject her pro-choice views, as support of abortion constitutes fatal heresy. |

The polls have closed, and election results are now available. Dr. Reza Famika has been elected President, receiving 56% of the vote. He will be sworn in tomorrow. |

Neo-Macedonia is greatly sadden by the turn out of candidates and by the election results. The mother of Neo-Macedonia herself, however hopes that the previously established military base within Very Pithy Stanistan by her late Husband, Saint Alexander will be able to continue it's operations there.
