Due to the range of Asherton's broadcast capability, its media companies decided to work together to bring the atrocities against the now defunct Western Alliance into light. They would use the internet to help broadcast a series explaining what had happened, and it would start with the Imam's trip to a Djiboutian Hospital to meet with the few survivors of the incident.

The first video began with the Imam exiting a military vehicle, shaking hands as he proceeded into the hospital. Inside the hospital, conditions were less than acceptable for a third-world country (seeing as the war had taken its toll on funding and supplies).

"We make due with what we have," a doctor said as he tended to one of the gas victims, who was on one of the few life support machines available. "We had to loot another hospital that had been firebombed by anti-war demonstrators to get this machine. This child is lucky to have it, or maybe not, seeing as he will be crippled for the rest of his life."

The Imam proceeded to a bed where a young blacksmith from a tribal village to the south of Djibouti was resting, his eyes blinded by the gas.

"How are you feeling?" The Imam asked the blacksmith.

"Terrible," the blacksmith coughed out. "I'm blind and I can hardly breathe, its my own personal Hell."

"What happened two nights ago?" The Imam asked. The blacksmith started coughing again, this time bits of blood came out and landed on his sheets. "Take your time, I don't want to cause you any pain."

"No, I will tell you," The blacksmith said as his coughing subsided. "The crowd was trying to get in peacefully, and a lot of people just had their weapons in case the militia showed up and caused trouble. There were a number of deserters in the crowd, they wanted to leave the country before the UNF arrived." The blacksmith started hacking and wheezing again before continuing. "When we saw vehicles approaching, we thought they would close the border and force us to go back, or conscript us enmass to fight the UNF. People in the back started pushing forward, trying to get away. A man close to me fell to the ground as he was pushed and his rifle discharged a few rounds into the air. A bright bullet shot from the gun upwards into the sky, not pointed at anyone or anything. Shortly afterward, we could hear thunder in the distance, and explosions started going off in the crowd. Soon after, many fell sick with coughing and a feeling or burning all over our skin and eyes." He coughed again as the Imam motioned for a nurse to come over to tend to the blacksmith.

"Did the Western Alliance fire at the CNNP?"

"No at first, but once the thunder started, we could see missiles being fired from the hills at aircraft."

"So it was done in self-defense?"

"Yes."

"Unbelievable," the Imam spoke to the blacksmith. The audio started to recede as he continued talking, but it sounded as if the Imam said "Damn the infidels for this."

The Imam went to the next room and saw a cleric, who had taken a lot of the gas and was on the hospital's second and last life support machine. The Imam bowed his head in a show of respect for the fallen religious man and walked out of the frame.

"These are just a few of the survivors from the terrible gas bombings from several days ago along the CNNP-Asherton border," a reporter said in a voice-over as images kept appearing. "However, we want to show the world how bad it is at the site of the atrocity itself."

Video from ground forces conducting burial for the tens of thousands of dead at the site are shown, many soldiers wearing gas masks and working with shovels and bulldozers to create mass graves. "There isn't enough time to give these people the burials they deserve, if they remain like this, it could cause infection and epidemics in this area," an UNF militia corporal said as he looked over the scene. "I pray the infidels who did this will get whats coming to them. They had no right to do this to unarmed women and children. We found bodies of babies and children as young as three years old in the piles of bodies."

"Out of the estimated 149,821 dead, only two hundred men were found to be in the possession of assault rifles. Only one had five bullets missing, presumingly the weapon that started the panic in the first place," the voiceover continued. "We will now use a demonstration to show what may have happened that night."

The scene cuts to a sandbox with hard, compacted sand with rocks and a replica wall like that on the CNNP border. Hundreds of little figurines of people were on one side of the wall as an UNF militia corporal explained what had happened.

"As the crowd began to panic, they began to press against the wall. The people from behind began to push and trample the people in front of them in order to get in. However, the deaths from trampling are very low. We found that at least 97% died from exposure to the blistering agents. That means that the crowd had not completely panicked, and it would appear that the CNNP forces overreacted inmeasurably to the situation."

"Was there any way to have disbanded the crowd without using such harsh methods?" a reporter asked another corporal who stood off to the side.

"Tear gas would have been one way," the militia corporal trained for urban warfrae responded. "Any civilized country has it for dispersing riots. You don't see people breaking up angry street mobs of their own citizens with mustard gas. At the state of mind the crowd was in, you could've fired starshells or rifles into the air and driven them off."

"So then, why do you think the CNNP did it?" The Reporter asked. "Would you care to speculate?"

"I believe wholeheartedly that they believe us to be inhuman, like animals," the corporal responded. "This is another attempt by the Catholics to mount a crusade whose goal it is to drive Islam from Africa."

"And you?" The reporter asked the first corporal.

"I disagree with my counterpart and suggest that they are doing it to "get even" with Sistan over a mistake in targetting," the first corporal said. "Since they don't have the will or the strength to attack Sistan, they attack us in order to extract their revenge. It is a coward's tactic."

The scene switched to the Imam's office in Bossasso, which the Imam speaking to the audience. "Members of the Faith, Members of Civilized Nations around the world, I ask you to review the evidence we have provided to you. This atrocity against our people is a mark against those who commited it and to those who support it. It is also a black mark on the UN, an organization that is supposed to reign in such dangerous regimes as the CNNP. If they take no action, they are as guilty as the people who perpetrated such heinous acts."

"To the nation of Nag Ehgoeg, we condemn you outright for siding with murderers and an incompetance! How dare you, a so-called civilized nation, condone the murder of innocent women and children! How dare you condone those whom fired first and claim that the defense against the gas attack was the reason for the gas attack! It is beyond any comprehension that any sane nation on this world of ours can think in such a manner!"

"As leader of Asherton and representative of the people, I have no choice but to demand the CNNP conduct the following:

1. Turn over all information regarding the incident immediately so that the officers in charge of the gas attack be charged as war criminals.

2. War criminals should be turned over immediately to us for war crime tribunals.

3. The CNNP will pay a minimum of $250,000 to the surviving family members of those who perished in the gas attack.

4. The CNNP will pay for the hospital bills of the survivors in all medical issues that have been concluded to have come from the attack.

5. The CNNP will pay the wages of the soldiers who had to bury the dead from the attack.

6. The CNNP will pay for the full cleanup of chemical and radiological weapons traces from the afflicted soil.

7. The CNNP will pay for all of the military hardware they destroyed in their aggressive attack on Western Alliance forces.

8. The CNNP will issue an apology for the attack and accept full responsibility for the atrocity.

As of now, I am ordering military units to step up their alert levels and continue to patrol the border between Asherton and the CNNP. We will stop any attempt by this rogue nation to invade and conquer our nation in this new crusade. If the CNNP has any conscious at all, they will accept responsibility and take action to remedy the situation as best they can. Allah akbar!"

At the end of the video, contact information was given for the Asherton Foreign Ministry so that foreign governments and private individuals could request copies of the gathered evidence for themselves, and offered an invitation to a third-party nation to investigate as well.

Press release from the Trilateral Commission.

"CNNP and Nag Ehgoeg's actions are a terrible blow to the credibility of the UN. The Trilateral Commission calls for deadly retaliation against the instigators of the WMD attack, and also the removal of UN forces from Israel and the turnover of Jerusaelm and the UN sector to Trilateral Commission control."

------

Excerpts from the Tuesday Mass homily delivered by Cardinal Anders van Barnevelt, Archbishop of Johannesburg South Africa

"All praise be to the Lord God. On this day the just hand of our Lord has spilled the blood of nearly 150,000 Muslim infidels. The CNNP is the captain of the Host of the Lord (Joshua 5:13-15); the Christian steel of their righteous sword was guided by the Holy Spirit to pierce the hearts of the enemies of Christendom ...

For we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another (Romans 12:5) and we the communion of saints go forth to defend the unconquerable and incorruptible Body that is the Christian Church sovereign under the Bishop of Rome ...

It is the duty of Catholics to aid CNNP and kill the infidels of Asherton. The Synod of All-Africa in the apostolic tradition will give an indulgence for all militant Christians - every Asherton Muslim that you kill will shorten your stay in Purgatory by 5,000,000 years ... We serve in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."

Meanwhile, along the Western Alliance side of the border with the CNNP, tens of thousands of civilians began to gather around the border crossings, a good portion dressed in the Militia outfit of the Western Alliance, trying to get into the country. A large portion of the crowd was armed and becoming frustrated as time wore on.

In the distance, loud diesel engines could be heard. They didn't sound like the diesels of a military vehicle, but more like the diesels of heavy machinery. Over the hills seperating Djibouti City from the border came bulldozers, surrounded by a bunch of other vehicles ranging from cars to militia technicals (armed with machine guns and recoiless guns). The bulldozers, plated with makeshift armor and stolen from local construction projects, lowered their blades and pushed on towards the walls. The technicals aimed their guns at the CNNP troops manning their positions and waited for their counterparts on the other side to make their move. On top of that, the cars and other lighter vehicles drove straight at parts of the wall showing no sign of stopping... to anyone observing the situation, it appeared as if they were about to conduct a suicide bombing of sections of the wall to allow people through.

Quote:

The refugees swarming against the border crossing began to worry as they saw what appeared to be military vehicles approaching. They desperately began to push against the border, tensions mounting as the vehicles drew closer. People began to be trampled under the weight of the crowd as it surged forward, the climax of the human wave coming with a burst of gunfire from somewhere within the crowd.

The vehicles left the road and scattered at high speeds on the hard ground approaching the border. Their orders were to protect the refugees at the border, but secretly they had been told to take advantage of any situation to allow them to "open the border wide enough for the refugees to flood in."

In the surrounding terrain, SAM missiles ranging from SA-2 Guidelines, SA-3 Goas, SA-6 Gainfuls and SA-8 Geckos awaited the beginning of conflict. Their radars were turned off, but judging from the sounds of jets flying overhead, it sounded as if the CNNP had the airspace near the border occupied.

Meanwhile, Western Alliance HQ ignored the radio communications coming from the CNNP.

OOC:

The guys with the heavier weapons and vehicles who may have been moving in to maintain order and find deserters. You gassed deserters, men, women and children. Surely those five year olds weren't soldiers now, weren't they?

Of course, you also gassed and attacked the men and vehicles coming to restore order, and probably the most available vehicles to transport the wounded to hospitals. Effectively, you sealed their fate.

Also, the air defenses were probably there to guard against attacks from the UNF and Sistani air forces in a last ditch effort.

As for the bulldozers and the cars, might've been people fleeing with whatever they could get their hands on. Since you fired first, you'll never know now.

OOC: Meh, too bad, so sad.

Nagian News Network

This is NNN.

A Black Day For Freedom of Speach.

What you are seeing now on our web broadcast, internation news television and in the Nagian News Paper are real and unedited images which have been authenticated by ourselves, our government and a third party source.

For those of you listening to our radio broadcast I will describe these disturbing images for you.

These first shots show the steady gathering of individuals on the CNNP-Asherton boarder. We can clearly see armed and hostile citizens being denied entry to the CNNP. We can clearly see the gathered force refuse to disperse and even try to effect illegal entry in this one shot here.

We see uniformed soldiers. Make no mistake ladies and gentlemen of the world, this is a milita.

We see bull dozers and heavy machinery.

We see weapons, including specialised anti-aircraft equipment.

We see an approaching military convoy.

Does the Asherton government really expect the international community to believe that deserters would wear their uniforms?
Does the Asherton government really expect us to believe that those fleeing a country would choose a method of transport that can bearly take them above walking pace but is a large and threatening target capable of smashing through a boarder control point?
Does the Asherton government believe that they can allow their citizens to carry specialised military weapons, at a conservative minimum cost of $20000 per unit, and have them not be suspected as a military target or known terrorists?

Can we trust a government that allows the destruction of hospitals in order to wage an unceasing and senseless war?
Can we allow a government that supports the looting of hospitals in such a tragedy to broadcast a message of hate?

Did a hostile force gather at the CNNP boarder. The facts say yes.
Was this force the first to discharge their weaponry. Again, this is fact, they did.
Did that force pose a threat to the CNNP in that it had the means to invade and take the lives of CNNP citizens. Yes.

Asherton has repeated stated that these where refugees. It has extended a great sense of loss towards the deaths of these so called "refugees". But I ask you to consider what where these refugees fleeing and why.

Would a responsible government allow a refugee problem to pose a threat? I think not.

Much has been said about the loss of life to women and children. To which our only retort is quite simply if a nation cares so little of it's citizens as to allow them to riot with military grade weapons on a nations boarder after they have been denied access into said nation, then I doubt very much if they are above conscripting women and children into their terrorist cause.

The NNN throughly denounces the popularist lies being spread by Asherton and calls for a public shaming.

However we do agree in point that the CNNP should clean up it's weapons spill. Perhaps Asherton should allow the CNNP the chance to do their duty to the envioment by allowing their military to establish a secure beach head in Asherton so the spill can be cleaned.

It has been suggested that the milita could have been dispeared with tear gas. Would you use a pepper spray on a thug armed with a machine gun? An incapacitant would have only further provoked an already hostile group, and would have done nothing to stop the incoming military convoy who could have then equiped the milita with the means to resist tear gas.

Lastly we will address the claims of the Trilateral Commission. The TC has stolen religious and historical artefacts. It has damaged sites of religious and historical importance. It has conducted mass kidnap, a disreguard for international law and illegal wars. They are in no possition to critise the NNN, nor to make the ludicras assertation that the NNN, a public broadcasting service, speaks for the elected UN representives of the world. If the Commission wants to secure Isreal from the infullence of a governmet they do not trust then they sould join the UN and thus be eligable to govern the UN sectors of Isreal. They would do well to pay more attension to the international community.

CNN News Special; Live from the Presmodium.

Presidente Augusto Pinochet: My fellow citizens of The CNNP and the international community. A few days ago, the border situation turned into a deadly scene of outright destruction to what has been confirmed by our military as armed hostiles. Insurgents. Our military forces were comfronted by an unprecedented situation when it came to border and national security. The Ashertonians at the border turned violent and unruly and posed a clear and present danger to the national security of The People's Republic of The CNNP. The unrecognized Ashertonian government has made claims of injustice that those killed at the border were innocent civilians. Ladies and gentlemen; armed boys, women, and children hardly constitute innocence. A full military review is underway, General Diego De La Vega has been temporarily relieved of command, along with his immeadiate staff. We will confirm that our policy towards armed insurgents was to secure our borders, but not at the expense of using unauthorized weapons. We will freely admit that the dastardly defense with chemical and biological weapons was unauthorized.

We cannot stress that enough. There was no authorization for the use of UN defined Weapons of Mass Destruction. While we accept our responsibility of unauthorized use of UN controlled weapons, issue a formal apology to the international community for this unfortunate turn of events; we would also like to state for the record that the refugee mass was not abiding by our customs and border patrols. They showed no signs of attempting to communicate their true intentions. It has already been reviewed that several attempts at communication were negligently ignored. So I must ask, why if these people were so innocent and armed to the teeth, were their superiors demostrating all the signs necessary of known hostility possible.

It is because those men and women were terrorists. If given the chance to enter our borders unopposed, they would have with no heart or conscience done the same to our people. We have already been suspect before to international sponsored terrorism and we have adopted a hardline policy to deal with such vatos should it be attempted again.

The use of Weapons of Mass Destruction we formally apologize to the international community and have inquired to the Ashertonian authorities for more negotiations. Again, they have not given us the courtesy of a reply, much like their ally the Principality of Sistan. We apologize only to the UN and the international community at large but give no recognition to the heretical regime of Ibrahim. Their government is a puppet state, Muslim extremist state of the Sistanis. They were attempting a terrorist attack and we stand by our military for the defense of our border, but not with unauthorized WMD's.

Again, a formal military inquiry has begun with General Diego De La Vega; and a possible court martial will insue. We reserve the right, under our constitution, original juristiction and no citizen, at least without our process of law, will be extradicted for the attack to a nation where it is apparent no law even exists. We will immeadiately assume full financial responsibilty for the clean up of the border. We will also be open for an independent UN team to investigate further claims. Vaya con Dios!

I too condemn Asherton in its crass plea towards the international community. It would appear as if the military vehicles were purposely herding the "refugees" towards the border in order to force the CNNP to react violently towards them. The Western Alliance purposely intended that their ctizens be killed so that they would get sympathy enough to gain asylum abroad in order to escape a just force (UNF) who was attempting to arrest them for crimes against the state. They have attempted to fool all of us with their bogus theorizing and inhumane tactics, and have thus proved that they think us imbeciles. I for one refuse to be insulted by an uneducated Arab dog who seeks only to recieve no punishment for war crimes like looting and bombing hospitals. Their foolishness is deplorable and their hateful rhetoric towards Catholics and Europeans in general is intolerable. I petition the UN to make this hateful regime pick up its own mess.

Throughout the streets of South Africa ordinary citizens are demonstrating and protesting against the Asherton government's treachery. Encouraged by the clergymen, many mobs of South Africans have held round-the-clock protest vigils in support of the CNNP, where effigies of the Imam have been symbolically torched. In the frenzy, several Christian South African civilians have been executed by the fanatical mobs, who accused them of "Icon-smashing" which is a sin that many local Catholics associate with Islam. Korans are being collected and burned in bonfires, while the call for war against Asherton has reached fever-pitch.

Prime Minister Cardinal Hurgronje says "South Africa does not want war, and we only want the vindication of CNNP's sovereignty and security. However, Asherton's crimes against the sovereign Catholic nation of CNNP and their shameless treachery will earn them censure from all civilized nations anywhere, whether Christian or non-Christian."

-------

Press statement frm the Trilateral COmmission:

"The Trilateral Commission rejects the NNN's empty platitudes. As it stands right now the UN is merely another military alliance, using the guise of "international law" to excuse the agenda of member nations. The Trilateral Commission will realistically deal with the UN as we would with any nation or bloc of nations. The Trilateral Commission reiterates its opposition to the partitioned sovereignty of Israel."

The Imam began to speak on the television news channels of Asherton again.

"The Nation of Asherton will accept the CNNP acknowledgement of the attack, but we condemn them nonetheless for labeling those refugees as terrorists. We have admitted from the get-go that some of the people in the crowd were deserters from the Western Alliance militia and still had their guns, but that only one gun had been fired in the entire exchange, even after the gassing had occurred. If these people had so wished to harm the CNNP and its populace, it stands to reason they would not of held back when attacked."

"We see that not a single CNNP soldier was killed or injured in the exchange, but 150,000 people were brutally killed by poison gas. It stands fit to reason that the CNNP views all Ashertonians as unfit for the title of being called Human Beings. They fail to recognise our nation after we have fought long and hard to carve out a place we can finally call home. These bastards from the CNNP deserve neither the salvation from God that they struggle for, nor cooperation from us in international affairs, for they are nothing more than common murderers."

"As for these slanderous remarks against the Western Alliance, while they were my enemy, they were an honorable enemy that knew when all was lost and when the time had come to save as many as they could. While I condemn some of their citizens for firebombing a hospital, I praise the work of the other hospitals to salvage what equipment they could to save the lives of countless people prior to the gas attack. To those who would citicize such efforts, I ask of you this: Are Christians the only ones who can take what they need to survive? Are Christians free from being branded as looters just because of their beliefs? No one is innocent, seeing as Catholics still have confession after thousands of years of existance! Not to say that all Muslims are innocent, seeing as we are capable of some horrible things in our own right, but to brand us with such strong labels such as 'terrorist' and 'looter' does nothing but strengthen our resolve against your threats and slander!"

"We will maintain a strong military presence along our border with the CNNP and begin erecting defensive positions. It would appear that the CNNP is too weak to control its own military, and is too shortsighted to see the folly of attacking the populace of Asherton again. Also, we will be strengthening our military to combat any threat to us by any country that would wish to test our sovereignty again. Allah wu'akbar!"

OOC:

I'll begin formulating final Ashertonian military strengths soon.

[Morbo and Linda chuckle.]

Morbo: Kittens give Morbo gas. In lighter news, the terrorist nation of Asherton is doomed. Blame rests with known idiot "The Imam" and his tiny, inferior brain.

Linda: So the upshot of things is, that despite facing international condenation, The Iman has maintained their rediculas plees of innocence while preparing for war.

Morbo: Their actions are FOOLISH!

Linda: Ha, ha, ha. Oh Morbo, they sure are.

"I see that "the Imam", as he wishes to be known, has made yet another false plea to the world on a whole. I wonder why yet again he chooses to use hateful anti-christian rhetoric and condones looting. I rather like to call him "the Terrorist" as he most certainly is. This new tape reminds me of Osama Bin-Laden's tapes offering a truce. It screams two words: "Cowards" and "Trap". I am in fact insulted that "the Terrorist" has considered me a man with the intelect of a child. I am tired of suffering his repeated racism and religious hatred. As far as I am considered, he is just as bad as Hitler. But we have the chance to stop him before he puts his sadistic plan for world domination into play. Any man who supports this terrorist is an enemy combatant, Muslim or otherwise. All of the rioters at the gate were either terrorists, or were controlled by terrorists. They deserved the death they faced. I have no qualms saying this, as Asherton is obviously ruled by perverted delinquints who use their own citizens for cannon-fodder so that they can complain. Asherton is truly the most evil nation I have ever come across. May it fall soon."
