Presidente Augusto Pinochet, of the National Republican Party, has announced earlier this morning that he will not seek re-election as president of The CNNP. Current Premeir Hugo Chavez is expected to run in the primary elections of the R.N.P., although he has not officially made any statement regarding the issue. While the R.N.P. seeks to find a candidate, the Social Democratic Party has wasted no time in preping a candidate to run in the primaries, Carlos Saúl Menem, has announced his run for the primary elections for the Social Democrats. Finally, you have the Populist Party, which has Luis González Macchi running for the primary nomination. |

Presidente Augusto Pinochet lashed out at Premeir Hugo Chavez over his recent comment of both the Syawlan and CNNP governments cooperating in an effort to "undermine" the authority of CENTO. In a press conference earlier this morning, Presidente Augusto Pinochet ordered the resignation of Hugo Chavez from the post of Premeir. Hugo Chavez did step down and issued a formal apology to the people of Sywala, the CNNP, their respective governing bodies, and the director of CENTO. However, this incident has only fueled the N.R.P's desire to keep Hugo Chavez as their candidate, and he has announced to adopt a more ultra-conservative (fascist) platform. Silvio Berlusconi, Vice-Presidente, has been appointed to fill the vacated post as Provost Premeir. |
