Catholic Europe has re-armed, although not to the highly militaristic and well trained level before the Treaty but nonetheless re-armed. |

OOC: Well, technically it was collateral damage. He was saying a mass in honor of the late King of Poland when a Prussian explosive landed on it. He was dragged from the wreckage and survived for a few days in a secret bunker under the city. So its not like Prussia searched him out to kill him, but he died because of Prussians. Oh, and to CE, I saw your post in the European continent. Thanks! |

Today, the small detachment of Assassination Army troops numbering 15,000 strong entered Catholic Europe waters. At this point the fleet is waiting for furthur orders from CE and are standing by. Once they recieve the orders, the 3 destroyers guarding the transports will be turned around, and head back to The Assassination Army. This has been an Assassin News Services update. ((As promised. 15,000 catholic troops for your use. Small arms, and light vehicles are accompanying them as well. Use them as you see fit.)) |

The troops from the Assassination Army are to be sent to Saxe-Coburg and to be deployed on the front line against Prussia. More troops are getting ready to be sent to Saxe-Coburg. Around 30,000. That should mean that I will have deployed around 70,000 troops to Saxe-Coburg (including the troops from AA). However, don't forget that I will keep most back in order to launch a successful invasion of Israel once the others have invaded it. |

Posted Image "I cannot allow this gross growth in Papal strength to be allowed. This is in violation of international law, and so I am authorizing a quarantine* on the Suez Canal by the Grand Fleet. All vessels will be subject to search by Egyrian ships. Any vessels from any nation carrying arms will be halted and the arms seized by the Egyrian Government. The arms will be placed in a secure location until such time as it can determined what are to be done with them. I call upon Egyria's allies to support this endeavour to enforce the law and protect the peace - before Papal tanks overrun your borders." -Sheik Saddam bin Mohammed of Egyria *** OOC: * "quarantine" in the sense that Kennedy used it - that is, blockade I've actually PMed United Elias about purchasing the rights of the Suez Canal from him - as he has no need for them, and Patrua is gone - but as of yet he hasn't replied. The fleet will not be in the canal itself, but north of Port Said, where the Canal opens into the Mediterranean Sea. Posted Image |

We see only three solutions: 1. To seek an agreement with the egyrian government to allow the passage of paradisian transports; 2. To ship the weapons via air cargos for twice the price, obviously paid by Catholic Europe; 3. To destroy the egyrian fleet with the Air Force. Therefore, we ask to the egyrian government what is needed to allow the passage of the paradisian transports. |

Nag Ehgoeg, as always on this matter, stands by the Papacy. This nation deserves the right to defend itself - especailly after the collapse of the oppersive military force imposing these rediculas sanctions. We find this "quarantine" to be in violation of the 15th Resolution which established free shipping. While powers invovled may not be associated with the UN, know that international president is in favour of the Papacy and Paradise. Nag Ehgoeg, as representative to and of the UN, will not stand-by and watch a nations right to defend itself disappear under the pretence of "international law". We thus urge you to come to an agreement with Paradise. |

"Is the message sent?" "Yes." Sheik Saddam bin Mohammed was talking to his Minister of Diplomacy, Omar ibn Zaid. The Sheik had expected a natural response to the blockade, and Paradise had given him that natural response. Whether or not Egyria's allies would stand by her, the Sheik knew that the setup of the situation now required a delicate breakdown of it by political intrigue. "Do you really think they'll go for it?" "They'd have good reason not to - but good reason to as well. With the collapse of the Patruan government, the Paradisians must recognize that Egyria has effectively taken her place as one of the major governing powers of this region. United Elias is perpetually silent, as is Oaksendom. Egyria is taking her place alongside Dawn, Paradise herself, and outcast Scythirus as the primary dictators of policy in the Middle East. The other nations are either partially involved elsewhere - accursed Catholic Europe - or are our allies - Wadj and Al Araam. Egyria has now gone from the outspoken desert outcast that it once was to a leader in this region. Egyria has a sphere of influence now, and Paradise is not stupid enough not to recognize it." "Do you really think they'll go for it?" "No idea whatsoever. Time will tell. Sooner or later, time will tell..." |

Here are some facts regarding the current issue: - Every nation in the World has the right to defend itself from foreign aggression; - Paradise needs to support its muslim brothers; - The more foreign customers for Paradise, the more exports we do and hence the more wealthy we become. Therefore, paradisian government has adopted the following resolutions: 1. The original shipment intended to Catholic Europe will be sold to Egyria at the marginal cost of production. A non-aggression pact between Paradise and Egyria is to be signed in the following days; 2. A second shipment will be sold to Catholic Europe via air cargos at twice the original price. Since our stocks are empty, the first shipment will begin in a week and the last one in approximatively three weeks. OOC: NE: Just curious about one thing. You are, at the same time, giving UN sanction and participation to the Israel mission, and supporting Papal re-armament, which would probably be used against that very Israel mission. Am I reading this right? Am I missing something? |

Israel may not feature in the Papal plans. Poland is now far more important and the Pope may seek peaceful means of resolving this issue because he is on quite good terms with Emperor Constantine. |
