It as a cold night as the masses began to swarm around the city's center. Everyone had come out to see it, the funeral of their beloved Sovereign, Shoa Conn. Though technically he did not die a Sovereign, he was given the right to a Sovereign's funeral. Though religion is outlawed in the Eastern Empire, the Dynastians still have customs which some can follow all the way back to their Ganosian occupation. The custom for a Dynastian warrior's funeral was simple. Dynastians believe that once a warrior dies, those left behind must announce that the Kalash (soul) is leaving this world for the next. Now to the outsider looking in, it's a strange ritual where the deceased eye's are held open by a fellow soldier, usually a brother in arms, and that brother then lets out an animal like howl which last for about 2 minutes. Once this is done the body is empty. Most of the time Dynastians really don't care what happens to the body once the Kalash is gone, and it's not uncommon to see a Dynastian family throwing out a body into the trash. However, if the deceased is someone of great honor, the body is burned. To be buried is one of the greatest dishonors that can be done to a dead body. In the case of Shoa Conn, his funeral was of the greatest honor. The Prime Shalak-gul carried his body in it's casket to the center of the city and then set it on an altar which was at the very center. Every eye was on the body as Shing Tishomi, current Sovereign came up to the body. Lek tol (goodbye) he said to himself as he open Shoa's eyes. Once he had the eyes open he looked out at the crowd and without warning everyone there let out this horrible cry. It was the sort of noise which sent chills down your spin as it echoed throughout the city. Shing joined them as hey let out a cry which sounded more like an animal cry than that of a humans. Time seemed to slow down as they all cried out until finally it was over and the crowd grew silent again. Shing then signaled for the Prime Shalak-gul officers to pick up the body again and this time carry it to the bonfire built. They placed the casket onto of the large pile of wood and then moved back. Shing took a torch and moved toward the pile. Arik tree-ac te kek he said and then lit the pile. The wood instantly caught on fire and the whole thing was soon engulfed with flames. The entire crowd just sat there in silence as they watched it burn. Shing moved far back into the crowd and was then moved up to a balcony where he'd sit and watch the fire until it eventually went out, which was the file act of the custom. As he sat there Grendel came up and took a seat next too him.... It's a fine funeral your excellency he said Yes, father would have been proud said Shing, Speaking of which how is father? The procedure was a complete success. The cryogenic chamber he's in has been moved to a secure location. I assure you, no one will find him. Good, I know that's what Father wanted. by the way, who is that that we're burning? Some Porto Santo slave we just got in. He was about your father's height so we figured he'd work. Good, good. Once we're done here I'll want the latest reports from NeoDacia As you wish your excellency. And the two of them continued to stair out into the burning flames. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News In an interesting move today, Sovereign Shing Tishomi announced the activation of the Maht-H'a and Toh'Kaht factions of the Shalak-gul. He announced that the two factions were to begin training exercises at the border of the Southern Region of the Eastern Empire (Korea). He said that the two factions were long over due for exercise and with the recently removal of the Trilateral Commission from the border, the two factions (with a total combined soldier count of 1,010,400) would be able to simulate more realistic combat experience without having to worry about the general populus being anywhere near. He said that it's a tradition of the Eastern Empire to always be prepared for battle and it's own that he believes should be continued and will be as long as he's head of TheNeoDynasty's administration. This has been an EEN report. |

OOC- Ah..how I wished I had gone ahead and tried him...but alas, Krantz is dead.... IC- -Kasnyian News Service- The Ambassador to the Eastern Empire had this to say about the recent passing of Sovereign Shoa Conn: "He was a supporter of terrorists. He was a man dishonorable on the battlefield who betrayed his allies. Where as the Alliance saved his nation from certain destruction at the hands of his own nuclear arsenal, he in turn duly repaid our kindness by funding various rebellions and civil wars within the alliance." "He does not deserve to be given a hero's burial. He deserves to be dragged out in the streets like the dog we was." |

EEN:Eastern Empire News Sad news today from the Empire, as Sovereign Shing Tishomi announced the death of Sovereignty Minister Grendle Iriskha. Minister Iriskha, 102 was a proud and driven man. He's service dates back all to the reign of Sovereign Shoa Conn who first created the position of Sovereignty Minister. Minister Iriskha did a lot for the nation and it is believed by all that he will be truly missed. In an interview, Sovereign Shing Tishomi had this to say: Sovereignty Minister Grendle Iriskha was a great and honored man. He serve his beloved Eastern Empire with everything he had and worked to improve it all the way up to his final hours here on earth. I have approved that he will recieve a full state funeral. It will be performed at the end of the week and all Dynastians are encouraged to attend. It will be held in the center of the capital city, the same sight at which Shoa Conn's funeral was held. I have also decided that since no man could ever replace Grendle Iriskha, that I will do away with his position. However, since the Eastern Empire has claimed territory seperate from our birth boundries, I will be insituting a new system of government for the Eastern Empire, to be reveal to you and the world, in a few days. Thank you No word from anyone within the Empire as to what this new system of government will mean for the future of the Eastern Empire. This has been an EEN report. |

EEN:Eastern Empire News Good evening and thank you for joining us. In our top story tonight Sovereign Shing Tishomi announced changes within the government structure of the Eastern Empire. It was among great secrecy that the Sovereign has made great changes to the government of the Eastern Empire which should provide better structure to TheNeoDynasty. Among the changes, the Sovereign announced that the position of Sovereignty Minister has been laid to rest with it's former holder, Grendle Iriskha and has been replaced with the position of Prime Chancellor. Also to be referred to as the "First Prime" of the Sovereign, the Prime Chancellor's role will be much like that of a vice president. He'll wield some executive authority and power and will head both the office of the Sovereign as well as another new body to the Empire, the Imperium. The Imperium will be a 200 seat democratic body who will wield complete authority over the proposal and ratification process of laws within the Eastern Empire. The Imperium members will serve life time terms and future members will only be elected by the Imperium itself. The Sovereign has legalized the Dynastian tradition of ritual combat as a form of gaining a seat to the Imperium. That is, a Dynastian looking to gain a seat on the Imperium can challenge a current member to ritual combat and if the challenger can kill the councilmen then has a shot at being elected to the Imperium. The council will be made up of only Shalak-gul and Kree'sha caste members. Though ritual combat is widely practiced within the military of the Eastern Empire there will be only one other body where ritual combat will be allowed within the government. The Prime Court is the only other body where ritual combat is allowed for those looking to ascend through their ranks. The nine seat Prime Courts purpose will be to interpret the law of the Empire and ensure that it is carried out. Members of the Prime Court will be given the task of heading the several administrative departments for the many lower courts needed throughout the Empire. The Sovereign will have the expressed right to appoint members to the Prime court and they will serve for life or until they are killed through ritual combat. If killed in ritual combat they will be reviewed by the Sovereign before a decision is made to appoint them or not. Many Dynastians are pleased to see these changes and feel that it will only help is distigushing the Eastern Empire throughout the World as well as making it a strong Empire. Already the Sovereign is organizing the new positions as well as beginning the process of elections for the many seats open. This has been an EEN report. |

EEN:Eastern Empire News Good evening and thank you for joining us. Out tops story tonight is an announcement that Sovereign Shing Tishomi made today on the step of Sto-Vo-Kor. We take you now to the video of that announcement. Picture flips to the steps of Sto-Vo-Kor where the banner of the Eastern Empire hangs high and a podium is setup. Shing takes to it and begins to speak. Dynastians of the Eastern Empire I come to you today with a message of great change. For this morning I passed a bill to make an exception to a law which has low since be in effect within our nation. I have allowed one religion to be represented in our mighty nation. The religion which I have allowed is that of the God-King Sakha. The camera turns to show the God-King standing beside Shing as he continues his speech. Never since the Ganosian occupation has the Eastern Empire had a religion within its borders. The Ganosian were a treacherous bunch who murdered the great Sovereign Shi Conn and enslaved our people to worship their false idols. However, the God-King is not a false idol and his beliefs are very similar to our own. That is why I have lifted the ban for this exception and though I will not force anyone to join, I do encourage it. The picture flips back to the studio. It was a surprising announcement from the Sovereign however polls now show that over 50% of the populace in support of his action. In other news today, a Prime Chancellor was elected. Prime Chancellor Mok has been elected to the newly adopted position and he commented that he is ready to serve the Empire to the best of his abilities. Seats in the Imperium have also begun to be filled and it's first session is scheduled to be held sometime next month. This has been an EEN special report. |

EEN:Eastern Empire News Good evening and thank you for joining us. Our top story tonight is the mass murder of all members of the Imperium of the Eastern Empire. The democratic council was created by Sovereign Shing Tishomi last year to conduct legislation of the Empire. Though the Sovereign had the final say in all the legislative matters of the Imperium, the Imperium had great power when it came to the laws of the Empire and effected Dynastians everywhere. However at 2pm today as the Imperium was in it's regular session, Shalak-gul soldiers stormed the Imperium building and mass murdered the entire legislative body. Only the Prime Chancellor was left alive and, who we now know was the military leader of this operation. In an interview, the Prime Chancellor had this to say:
In another interview Sovereign Shing Tishomi himself spoke out about the days events:
When given a poll, 99% of Dynastians say they approve of the Sovereign's actions. They believe in the system of government given to them by the First Sovereign Shi Conn and believe that over the years it has serve them well. The 1% that oppose the Sovereigns actions are believe to be sympathizers with the Tok'Conn faction of the Eastern Empire of which, despite many laws made against them, still seem to exist among the populace of the country. As a final thought of the event, the Sovereign did promise that all members of the Imperium killed would be given an honorable cremation aside from those who are now believe to have committed treason. They are to be put in graves with the other dishonored. This has been an EEN report. Thank you and good night. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Good evening and thank you for joining us. In our top story tonight news from the capital is grim as pictures flood news stands across Asia depicting the once mighty capital Shangri-La as a burning pile of rubble. Sakhan and Assassin forces laid waste to the Capital as part of their Eastern Empire campaign. We have also just recieved word that our beloved leader, Shing Tishomi has been assassinated by none other than God-King Sakha XXXVII as he marched his men through the streets of the Capital. Hundreds of thousands of Dynastian are outraged and have begun mass rioting in their cities. Though we have no official word, we believe the Assassin forces are now pulling out and as for the Sakhans, they have begun to make their way to the Northern border, leaving a tail of destruction in their path. From there it is hoped by officials that they will be heading back to their own country. As for the Empire herself, a state funeral will be held for the beloved Sovereign tomorrow, with military leaders being recalled from all over Asia. It is said that after the service, the heads of the military will be meeting to discuss the future of the Empire. This has been an EEN report. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Emergency Boradcast Channel Good evening and thank you for joining us, our news tonight is an update on the situation in the Eastern Empire. Since our last news cast two weeks ago all of the Gull commanding officers have made significant advancements on their plans to take the Empire for their own. As of last week this borders (Shown below) have stayed relatively the same, and are now being permanently claimed by each Gul, who have begun referring to themselves as "Region Lords." Posted Image Region Lord Tezuko an the Drovna Shalak-gul has captured most of the Northern regions of the nation, naming Praxis his capital. Regional Lord Rhun an the Maht-H'a Shalak-gul has claim most of the eastern parts of the nation, naming Anzu his capital. Regional Lord Uran an the The Toh'Kaht Shalak-gul has claimed some southern parts of the nation and all of the western parts, including some previously unclaimed land. Seems while fighting the other region lords, Region Lord Uran pushed his forces west, closing a small gap within the Empire. The new border now looks like this: Posted Image Posted Image Region Lord Uran has claimed Synesta as his Capital. Finally Lord Deis an the Vor'cha Shalak-gul has claimed all of the Korean peninsula except for the capital (with sum surrounding area and village of Ludia. Region Lord Deis has named Kasa as his Capital. As for the actual Capital of Shangri-la, it has been left untouched, and it has been generally agreed among the region lords that no one shall lay claim to it. A blood feud has been declared which states that only the last living Region Lord can lay claim to the Capital and the whole Empire. Once a Region Lord dies, his family's claim to the Empire is forfeited. The area around the capital is a DM zone and though anyone may pass through freely, most citizens are now beginning to chose sides and moving to the new Capitals. Ludia, the other territory unclaimed by the Region Lord is said to be claimed by the Tok'Conn. Thought to have been extinct, it seems the terrorists group known as the Tok'Conn (Against Conn in Dynastian) has remained operating in the Empire and now which chaos reeking havoc, they have laid claim to Ludia and some surround territory. Seems no joint effort by the Region Lords is in store to take Ludia as most have their full forces deployed at their borders, continuing their fight amongst one another for dominance. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Emergency Boradcast Channel Good evening and thank you for joining us, we are reporting live from our underground bunker in the Capital of Shangri-La. I'm Jo Su-mi and here is the latest news from the war torn country of the Eastern Empire. It has been six month since last we broadcast and yet little has when it comes to the war itself. The Region Lords are still at battle with each other with no clear winner in sight. Mandatory drafts have been instituted in every region to help continue the war effort for all leaders. Some have even begun to brand their soldiers so that other Region Lords can't take them as prisoners of war and then turn them against their enemies. Some of the most basic supplies in many parts of the country and become precious commodities such as food and running water. Many cities are without power and not because of infrastructure damage but due to the fact that those who worked the power plants are now being drafted into the many armies. True chaos reigns supreme now in a once thriving metropolis. The once proud and powerful caste of the Shalak-gul have been reduce to little more than animals, pinning brother against brother, and sometimes even father against son. Though nothing has been made officials, some estimates put the current death toll at about 5 hundred-thousand people, most of which are soldiers. Many experts believe a good million Dynastians will be dead by the end of the year. To further add to the chaos, Tok'Conn terrorists movements have been on the rise, forcing some Region Lords to shift between war efforts and home land security. Already between the several factions biding for dominance, it's estimate that they've collectively captured 7 hundred Tok'Conn agents, with an estimated 3 thousand still on the lose. With so much death and destruction happening in the Empire the only peaceful place to been in the Capital itself, which has become a complete ghost town. Most inhabitants have been forced out of the city, to live within the controlled areas of the Region Lords, most being put into forced labor camps for the production of weapons as well as farming. The Region lords themselves refuse to enter the city, many stating that only the last one to remain should be allowed into the city to assume the thrown of Sto-Vo-Kor. We here at EEN will try and continue to get the latest facts on the war for anyone within the Empire who can still watch TV. For EEN, I'm Jo Su-mi signing out. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Good evening I'm Jo Su-mi and here are our top stories. His excellency Sovereign Shing Conn announced the reestablishment of a democratic body in the Eastern Empire. This comes to a shock to most since only six years ago this same Sovereign dissolved the last council, killing all it's members for treason. The council, to be referred to as simply the "Dynastian High Council" will be a small democratic body numbering around 20 members. The members themselves will be appointed by the Sovereign and overseen by the Chancellor Mok. Already the Sovereign has appointed many members to the council, all from the Keir'os caste and from prominent families in the Empire. Though his excellency was not able to comminent on the matter personally, Chancellor Mok had this to say on his behalf.
In other news tonight the Empire announced it's final map of the Eastern Islands, the Empire's claims in the Pacific. Posted Image The Empire is claiming the city of Vakova as the provisional capital of the islands and all administrative operations will happen there. The Empire has released several reports showing that the integration process with the natives is going smoothly as well as construction of our military installations. Dynastian citizens will be able to travel to the islands in the coming months. |
