OOC: this is just for short news castes IC: EEN: Eastern Empire News As stability returns to the Eastern Empire, Sovereign in exile Shoa Conn announced today that he will be bordering his private curise ship along with Trilateral Comission Councillors Ivan Borodin, Ron Baskaran, and Terrence Johnson to set sail for South Africa. As many are aware of now in the international community, South Africa has been hit with two nuclear bombs. The Sovereing released this statement: I leave today for South Africa on a mission of good-will and relief. The country has been devistated, and now that I no longer have matters of state to attend to I see this as an opportunity to help others. I hope this will show the international community that I am not the war bent dictator that I have seen as. Truly I am on a new mission to help all of mankind. We have learned that the Trilateral Commission has cleared the Sovereign to leave and will escort the cruise ship with several gunboats, with destroyers, aircraft carriers, and air patrols to assure that the Sovereign does not try to pull anything. As well as keep the Sovereign safe from rebels within South Africa. This has been an EEN report. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News As several nations have announced expansion projects, so too has the Eastern Empire followed in that trend. The Tok'Conn governing council has announced today that they plan to make many changes to the Empire. "The Eastern Empire is seen as a vicious civilization whose military rules all. In today's Asia, such a nation is not needed since peace it secure throughout. That is why we're going to make many changes to TheNeoDynasty's caste system. We think the system itself is very useful to the Empire, it ensures that everyone has a job and one to the best of their abilities. However we feel it puts the military to high in the economy and power. We'd rather see political, scientific, and agricultural groups be put higher to help recreate the Empire into a more peace loving nation." After that statement was made, the Tok'Conn governing council also announced their plan to incorporate several farming villages outside the Empire's borders. These villages will be key to the Tok'Conn's plan in changing the caste system. With more land for farming and other agricultural prospects, it will strengthen the Prim'ta caste allowing to put more emphasis on it, rather than the Shalak-gul. Below is a map of the proposed area for annexation. This has been an EEN report. |

The Assassination Army feels that this expansion is acceptable. Such changes within the Tok'Conn government are also widely viewed as a good move within the Imperial Palace. While we have no resources to spare to assist the new governemt in this expansion, we do of course wish the best to the Eastern Empire. |

We would contend this expansion, but we are frankly to busy to oppose the matter. Shoa Conn has not returned to take control back from his pet council, so we have no time for the Eastern Empire. |

Greater Sakha finds this movement of the Eastern Empire to be intolerable. It is utterly unheard of, to suggest that a nation that lost a war ought to be rewarded with extra territory. Land is the right of the victor, not that of the victim. As such, the Tok'Conn governing council is contravening the laws of not just man and nature, but of the gods themselves. As one of those gods, the thirty-sixth incarnation of Sakha, Lord of the Cold and Death in Battle, stands opposed to this abomination. Furthermore, Greater Sakha urges the Tok'Conn to reconsider their desires to redefine their caste system. A caste system, in those societies that have one, is one of the primary guaranteers of social stability. By tampering with the basic fabric of their society in such a reckless manner, the Tok'Conn threaten not just the stability of the Eastern Empire, but of all of Asia. Surely such a move is not godly? In addition, their devaluation of the military caste is certainly not something that can be supported. The warrior's profession is one hallowed by numerous generations of soldiers, and untold numbers of armed conflicts. By degrading the warrior in this manner, the Tok'Conn turn their collective backs on the heritage of mankind. God-king Sakha urges them to reconsider this abberant move. At the very least, the warrior caste should remain among the high castes, even if not the very first. |

:::Private Conversation::: Shoa walks into the great Banquet hall of the old Imperial palace of his father's era and sits to have his regular breakfast. Grendle then walks in with the morning newspaper, he has two copies of course and sits one down in front of the half asleep former Sovereign. Shoa picks it up and begins to read. Shoa: Those blasted fools. Grendle: I assume you found something you dislike Shoa? Shoa: Indeed, it would appear our harmless Tok'Conn have decided to rework our entire caste system. Putting the military far below that of mere farmers and doctors, and those damned politicians. My father worked hard in the early days to ensure that system was flawless. It is because of that system that our nation is what it is today. To tamper with it could mean a great depression for the economy and general stability of the nation. I've got to find a way to ensure that this does not happen. Grendle: Now Shoa, though you might still command many generals within the army, they hold no political power anymore. There is no way you could stop the Tok'Conn without the international community discovering your actions. Shoa: What I need is something to divert their attention. Shoa begins to read the rest of the articles. One article in particular catches his eye and a devilish grin begins to grow over his face. Shoa: It were as if, it was fate Grendle. Grendle: What was that Shoa? Shoa: That which I seek is already in the making. It would appear that Norightsia and the Van Damen Lands are in a tight diplomatic aggression against one another of the lands they are trying to annex. One not supporting or recognizing the others land grab as it were. Why all one would have to due it perhaps tip the scale in one of their favors, and the other will be quick to attack. Yes, with the proper planning Asia could have it's second war very soon and we'll have no part in it. It will allow us to work against the Tok'Conn freely without worrying about the allies breathing down our backs because they'll be too busy fighting one another. Keep me posted on these events, I have some phone calls to make to get everything in order. Oh and one more thing, get me the latest report on the Kasnyia situation, I really hope that investment pays off. You did send the Cardinal's supplies that requested did you not? Grendle: They should arrive tomorrow, and I'll get the latest reports coming from their government. An as always I will keep you posted. Shoa: Good I'll be in my office. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Good evening and welcome. Tonight's top story takes us the Sovereign's palace in the capital. It would appear late last night in the cover of darkness a band of thieves into the former Sovereign's vault. Now currently the Tok'Conn governing council has been using the Sovereign's palace as their base of operations and housing. The Tok'Conn had this to say: We were deeply disturbed that the palace was broken into the way it was. It showed us that we need to "beef" up our security. As for the vault itself, we have no idea what it contained. The vault as far as we know were filled with the Conn family treasury. We've contacted the former Sovereign and it appears he is sending former Sovereignty Minister Grendle to take an inventory and see what exactly was stolen. Thank you Officials have reported that Former Sovereignty Minister Grendle has landed in the capital. No world yet on how is suspected on the burglary. We hope to have more on this soon. This has been EEN report. ::Private Conversation:: Grendle enter the vault and began his inventory of the Conn family "Collection." It took five hours but he finally completed. Oddly enough, everything was still within the vault and he had no idea why it was broken into. Right before he was going to call it a day and contact Shoa, a thought hit him. He rushed over to the back of the vault and opened a very old chest. He rummaged through the chest until he brought out medium sided box. He opened the box and to his horror it was empty. Shoa will not be pleased he thought and he left the vault. He reported that nothing was stolen and then an hour later he was back on Shoa's private jet heading back to old Shangri-La. He pick up the phone and called Shoa. Highly Encrypted Phone transmission Shoa: Grendle what is it man, you know I'm busy Grendle: Shoa the vault was broken into last night Shoa: What, was anything stolen. The painting, sculptors, gold bars???? Grendle: No all your family's "collection" is intact. It's that "rare" piece of your collection that was stolen. Shoa: Not the... Grendle: Yes they were taken and as of yet we don't know who did it. Shoa: The our Intel. might have been right after all, they might be on the rise again. I want a full investigation understood. Grendle: Of course, but what if they've already left the country Shoa: Then world will have something more than me to worry about. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Tonight civil unrest is abound in the Eastern Empire as thousands of Dynastians take the the streets in protest againt the Tok'Conn Governing Council. Posted Image The general public are blaming the Tok'Conn for bring the red death to the Empire which has killed a reported 32 already. It is believe that a flight from Singapore brought the plague into the nation, and since the Tok'Conn stand behind the policy of foreign travel into the nation, the populace is outraged with them. Posted Image The capital tonight is a virtual battle ground as rebel Shalak-gul rushed the city with tanks in an effort to take down what they are now calling "the weak and foolish government." In response the Tok'Conn have gathered the Shalak-gul still loyal to the government to set up defensive perimeters around the key government buildings the rebels are targeting. However, experts are now saying it is only a matter of time before the rebels break through the perimeters due to the fact that more and more Shalak-gul join the rebellion daily. Many also comment that if former Sovereign Shoa Conn were still in power the Empire would not be in the chaotic state it is in. This has been an EEN report. |

Private Telegram To: Tok'Conn Governing Council From: Emperor Jodo Subject: Rebellion Greetings council members. We have seen your latest news reports and feel that it is in our best interests to offer aid in this. The stability of your nation is of great concern to us, as we would rather not see another varient of Shoa Conn take control of the nation. As a result, we wish to support your current government in opposition to the rebels now storming your governing buildings. We are prepared to send whatever aid the council deems appropriate. Also, our nation has been lucky in the recent outbreak across the globe. Being an island nation, we have little interaction with the international community other than what we allow within our territorial waters. And these are now feircely inspected under quarentine conditions. We would also like to negotiate a trade of medical supplies, and possible evacuation of civilians from the hardest hit areas should the council agree. Signed: Emperor Jodo. |

Private Telegram To: Emperor Jodo From: Tok'Conn Governing Council Subject: Rebellion We are deeply grateful to your speedy response to our situation. Truly TheNeoDynasty has fallen into a state of chaos with which we don't believe we have the power to bring it out of. It also understand your concern about the leadership of our nation and we must admit that it too has become a great concern for us. With each passing day, as you may know by now, more and more Dynastians fall into the ranks of the rebellion and we firmly believe that they wish to reinstate the evil and vile Shoa Conn into the seat of Sovereignty to this nation. We will not stand for that and we will do everything in our power to prevent that, however as we have already state our power is becoming extremely limited. We would be more than willing to allow troopers or any aid your nation is willing to send into our borders. Understand however, the our nation is infected with the plague and it grows rapidly as the day progress. Also understand that within the rebellion is a strong distaste for foreign people and so any form of troopers or personnel from you nation or any brought into the nation would not be met, for lack of a better term, "with open arms." You can expert a strong distance even in trying to enter the nation, though we will do all we can to ensure your people as safe as possible passage into our borders. As for trade and evacuation we would me more than willing to negotiate however we don't believe this is the sort of action our nation should be taking. Our biggest fear is with the evacuation of our people because we fear the rebellion could spread to other nations with minority group who sympathize with their cause. We will await your response.. signed: High Councilmen Zen Tishomi of the Tok'Conn Governing Council |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Tonight as we report to you from the capital city, two Tok'Conn Councilmen are dead, including High Councilmen Zen Tishomi after a sniper fired on them as they were entering their armored SUV to take the Governing Council out of the city to safety. Posted Image The Two Councilmen were hit in straight in the head, causing instant death. The remaining councilmen of the Tok'Conn did arrive safely at the disclosed "safe house." They announced that they will be electing a new high member from the Tok'Conn Faction into the Governing Council, and among them they will be electing a new High Councilmen. In a related story, it is now believe be the local authorities that the hit on the council members was due to their alleged approval of allowing Assassination Army troops into the nation however, no proof has yet been brought to the media on the Assassination Army pledging assistance nor on the Tok'Conn accepting it. This has been an EEN report. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Today Assassination Army troops arrived at the ports to lend their support of the Tok'Conn government. As warned by the Tok'Conn, the AA troops did not get a warm welcome into the nation. They met with heavy fire from gorilla Shalak-gul troops and after a long fight managed to get the upper hand on the gorilla forces and was able to move deeper into the nation. there arrival however is a day to late to save the Tok'Conn Governing Council which welcomed their aid. It was late last night when the remaining three members of the Tok'Conn Governing Council were viciously gunned down in an armored SUV as they made their way from their safe house to one of their government buildings for a last minute paper work. Many of the gorilla forces saw this as the final victory for their cause however, as it was made public only a few hours later, the remaining councilmen of the Tok'Conn were able to swear in a member of the Tok'Conn group into the ranks of the Governing Council. Shing Tishomi, a cousin of former high councilmen Zen Tishomi was sworn in and is the lone member of the Tok'Conn governing council. Sources are telling us that Shing is in a safe location and that the location will only be known by those loyal to the government and the AA troops within the nation aiding the government. We have also received word from Mr. Tishomi himself that he will be holding a press conference in which he plans on releasing to the public a compromise he has been working on which he hopes will bring an end to all this bloodshed. This has been an EEN report. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News As promised, the capital city today prepared itself for the press conference being held by acting Tok'Conn Governing Councilmen Shing Tishomi. Assassination Army troops lines the street in their attempt to keep order within the city as the rebel Shalak-gul troops were allowed entry into the city as per Mr. Tishomi's orders. As they troops and civilians gathered outside the former Sovereign's palace, Shing Tishomi took to the stage a delivered a surprising speech: Welcome and thank you my fellow Dynastians for seeing me today in the name of peace. The past year has seen many great changes for the Eastern Empire. Not only did we by all accounts lose a war, but we also lost our Sovereign. We opened our borders to foreign trade and travel and now we battle an enemy we can't seem to fight. Truly these are the darkest days for our nation and I must say it doesn't help that we have a government which the people cannot support. Fighting amongst ourselves will only open a door for our enemies to enter and crush us in our hour of weakness. As an appointed government official I cannot stand back and watch by fellow brothers battle one another because they do not feel the government represents them and their culture. That is why, for the first time in the history of the Eastern Empire, I am ordering a general election be held to determine the rightful ruler of the nation. This way the public will have a vote as to whom they want representing them in this time of need. Thank you After delivering the speech cheers could be heard throughout the Empire. Though is it not the Dynastian way, the elections are seen as a way of bring back the old ways of TheNeoDynasty that the general public want so desperately to have back. Due to the announcement of the elections, fighting amongst the Dynastians have stopped so that political groups could be formed and candidates could be nominated. It's said that because of this new time of "peace" within the Empire, the Tok'Conn have been able to elect a full council now, however Shing Tishomi has stepped down from his position and has separated from the Tok'Conn to form a separate political group of which he's gaining many supporters. We will have a full list of groups and their candidates sometime be the end of the week. Elections are scheduled to begin sometime nest week (not in RL time). This has been an EEN report. |

EEN: Eastern Empire News Here is a detailed list of the parties running in the up comming elections with their candidates, and their beliefs and policies: The Dynastian Party Candidate: Shing Tishomi The DP are looking reinstate the office of the Sovereign and bring the Eastern Empire back to the glory of it's younger days. They want to turn their attention to more internal affairs though still keeping their eyes and ears on the outside world. They are willing to work with other government and simply want peace for their people. The Tok'Conn Party Candidate: Fou Shung The TCP are looking to aim more at international affairs than that of internal ones. They want to keep the government as it is and believe in creating strong ties between the Eastern Empire and it's neighbors. They also are looking to abolish the caste system in place within the nation and making more social equality. They not only want national peace, but hope to use the nations wealth in promoting world peace. The Shalak-gul Extremist Faction Candidate: Gen. Setzuki Kazu The SEF has a lot in common with the DP however, they take their policies to the extreme. They want to isolate the nation from the rest of the world by closing all borders and deporting want foreigners are in the nation back to their homelands. They want to build an even stronger military and have it run the government. Religious Freedom Fighters Party Candidate: Chad Tozuki The RFFP is a minority group looking to bring spirituality to the nation. They want to abolish the laws which prohibit religion within the nation and begin work on bringing religious organizations into the nation. They feel that there is a force beyond the human will and Dynastians everywhere have a search for it. The polls will open later this week (probably tomorrow or Wednesday)and the results will be broadcast as soon as they come in. Thiis has been an EEN report |

EEN: Eastern Empire News With elections over it is time to reveal the results and in a landslide win, the Dynastian Party has been declared the winner. Cheers and celebration could be heard across the Empire since it turns out the Dynastian Party was the most favored by the public. After receiving news of their win Shing Tishomi, the parties candidate released this statement: Picture of Shing Tishomi: Posted Image Truly this is a great day for Dynastians everywhere and as promised, I will bring the Eastern Empire back to it's former glory. I ask the Asian community to not misunderstand me, everyone knows that Shoa Conn was a terrible Sovereign whose crimes are too numerous to account for. However, his Eastern Empire was one loved by every person in this nation, and it is that aspect of his reign I hope to recapture. She the Eastern Empire will have to change, however I believe that the Tok'Conn, whose intentions were good, failed to realize that change takes time and it was because of that that they failed the people as a government body. It is because I want to recapture the glory which was once Shoa Conn's Eastern Empire that I, Shing Tishomi, am hence forth declaring myself Sovereign of the Eastern Empire and am reinstating the former government built by the former Sovereign Shoa Conn. I once again ask the Asian community not to be alarmed by these actions for though I am reinstating Shoa Conn's government, I am not reinstating his policies. Unlike Shoa Conn, I hope to bring a new face to the nation, one that except other nations as equals and it is my dream that in the near future the Eastern Empire will have peaceful relations with all it's neighbors. Thank you. This has been an EEN Report. :::Private Conversation via Highly Encrypted Transmission::: After a day of moving many of his thing into the Sovereign's palace Shing sat down behind his desk within the newly renovated office of the Sovereign when a communications screen light on a table behind him. He walked over to the door and made sure they were securely closed and then sat back in his chair now facing the screen. He accepted the transmission and a face from the past came over the screen. I was wondering when you would call me father Shing said. I suppose congratulations are in order my son, it's good to see one of our own back in the seat of power even if it couldn't be me. Now father Dynastian will never forget the great Shoa Conn, your name will echo in history for many years to come. I suppose that is true however I am a little disappoint you chose to use Tishomi as your last name. Now father you and I both know the international community would have been great against a Conn running for office, besides Tishomi is a name which is seen as more peaceful since the last man to have it was a Tok'Conn. That is true I suppose said Shoa, So how is your twin brother doing? I suppose well father, I left him in Brazil. You know how he is father, he enjoys philosophy and archeology whereas I prefer politics and warfare. He may be my brother and my twin at that, but I believe that I'll never understand him. I was told you two were as different as night and day. I am just glad to see you two survived in the world alone with only yourselves and then many servants I had protect you while I ran my government. My father did it to me, and I did it to you, it is the way of us Conns. I know father am I believe it made me a better man because of it. I need no one in this world but myself. Well, I need to be going Shing, but I am sending Grendle to you, I assume he'll be able to take his old post yes? Of course, these is actually a regional affair I wish for him to attend. Excellent, well then until we talk again... :::End of Highly Encrypted Transmission::: |

Sovereign Shoa Conn has dead tonight at his home in exile within the old Palace in old Shangri-La. Unofficial reports had begun to appear within the last three months that the aging Sovereign was in fact dying of a rare disease oh which may doctors believe is a hereditary disease. Though no one has come forth to verify these reports, it has been verified that the Shoa Conn is dead. Though many throughout Asia despised Shoa Conn, Dynastian everywhere praised him as a man who brought their culture back to them after the Ganosian occupation. They are now in a state of mourning. Since Shoa Conn was a Sovereign, he will receive a Sovereign's funeral service. More on that as we get it. Once again, frm. Sovereign Shoa Conn is dead. |
