Like the Monarchs thread, I have created this thread so that you can post something that is to do with your nation, or another nation or even the region as a whole, but that has no relevance to the other threads that are in the forum. Therefore, to stop random threads being created that may only be posted in once, like the Monarchs thread we might as well lump them altogether as if they were special news broadcasts, either on TV, radio, Internet or in newspapers. |

CEN News Update "Since the War of Succession, massive building projects and other infrastructure building has taken place, as Catholic Europe tries to forget and heal the wounds, damage and destruction wreaked by bombs. However, there persists, in Genesis City and Rome, a constant and dangerous reminder of the terrible atrocities committed on their citizens - radiation. Whilst it is believed that perhaps around 100 million were killed directly as a result of the War of Succession it is thought that perhaps around another 40 - 50 million people have, since the end of the War to the present day, been killed by the indirect effects of radiation. Cases of cancer in Genesis City and Rome have increased by over 400% as many people continue to live in squalid conditions, drinking water that is, effectively, laced with radition and living dangerously close to the epicenter of the nuclear bombs. This is particularly true in Genesis City as many people have chosen to live close to a statue of St. Joan of Arc which survived the nuclear bomb blast despite being very close to the epicenter in deed. As a result of this there is thought to be, still, in Genesis City alone, millions of orphans who have been orphaned through radiation rather than the direct effects of the War of Succession. Catholic Europe has become used to the a generation of orphans after a generation of orphans. Ultimately, people will continue to live, work, play and pray in these devastated areas and one day Catholic Europe will emerge from her dark and painful period and be glorious once again." |

The NeoRoman Star For the best news in the Empire, just look for the Star After a year of secret construction, NeoCaesar Julius Augustus publicly announced today, that NeoRome is sponsoring it's first colony. The Colony is called Sardinia and Corsica and is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea. For a long time now, the NeoCaesar has been in search of an area where inhabitants were in need of help and had no centralized government to help in the areas of social welfare, education, and the economy. One year ago such a need was found in the town of Aktau and a small surrounding area. The people were in desperate need of help and after several polls were taken, it was shown that the populace was more that will to incorporate themselves into a NeoRoman lifestyle and be govern under NeoRoman Law. With that, NeoCaesar put together a large teak of government officials to setup a centralized government and transform the separated towns into a fine working Colony and so one year later we have the NeoRoman Colony of Sardinia and Corsica. In an interview, Grand Governor Philippicus Bardanes had this to say: I am so pleased that his excellency has finally made our presence here in the Middle East public. It was rough the first 6 months trying to establish the native people with the NeoRoman way of life and government, but once they were introduced to it and began to live their lives by it, theyhave really flourished and brought themselves together into this fine colony we have today. Now that we have ourselves up and running as a colony and have established our presence here I am now eager and have been instructed by his excellency to begin foreign relations with the other nations of the Middle East. Being a neighbor nation to Nag Eghoeg, we hope to begin talks with their government soon and then move on from there. The Colony of Sardinia and Corsica is governed by Grand Governor Philippicus Bardanes and is represented in NeoRome by the Imperial Representative Alexius Comnenus. NeoRomans everywhere are excited about the colony and can't wait to have NeoRoman relations with the Middle East. So for the best news in the Empire just look for the Star |

ARNN Araamenian Regional News Network Today at dusk the Triumvirate and a group of high-level advisors met on the roof of their huge white marble palace in Arakyne. They appeared to be huddled around a small stone bowl containing a tiny fire. Into the fire Kaliq Hashim threw a small sheaf of papers. It is unknown exactly what the papers were or why the Triumvirate decided to hold this bizarre ritual, but there is widespread speculation that the document that Mr. Hashim threw into the flames was actually the Quadrapartite Pact, the alliance between Egyria, An Najm, Al Araam and Scythirus signed some years ago. If this is the case it would be nothing more than a formality as it is clear the Quadrapartite Pact has failed to hold its members together. Relations between Scythirus and Al Araam and Egyria broke down months ago when former Emperor Krilhald Voramix enraged the Middle East as a whole by setting off two nuclear devices over Catholic Europe and killing 10,000 Egyrian troops and well as millions of innocent civilians. If the Quadpartite Act has indeed been destroyed, it is unclear whether Al Araam will attempt to reestablish diplomatic relations with the other pact members. |

OOC: Actually An Najm, Scythirus and Al Araam signed it. Egyria was unable to sign because the foreign minister had just died. But it's really of no matter. All that needs to be shown is that all ties are cut with Scythirus. |

CIE News Broadcast Keeping those in exile informed "Tensions within the Church, specifically in Catholic Europe, continued to rise today. The Catholic European Cardinals again vented their anger and frustration at the conclave and the perceived direction that the Church is heading in. Short of criticising the Holy Father himself, they warned the Catholic European populace, already beginning to grow in unrest and anger, that the Church is being directed in an evil direction by outside forces and that a return to the Imperial ways is truly the only way to stop the Church being delivered into the hands of Satan. Pope Gregory XVIII has, himself, chosen to effectively ignore these statements by certain Catholic European Cardinals. A stranger in a highly volatile and angry nation, even if he is the Holy Father, is a very lonely and vulnerable man. Catholic Europeans have been known to execute Popes who they deemed heretical before and it could happen again. Furthermore, as a temporal ruler, Pope Gregory XVIII is open to arrest by the Cardinals and even execution, such as happened to St. Pope Sidibie I. Thus, he may have no choice but to give in to the wishes of the Cardinals and that could have disastruous consequences for Catholic Europe and the world." More updates to follow. |
